- Dear Mrs. and Mr. *nom des gens*
- I work currently as a test automotive engineer at Bosch for Technology and Strategy, and I wish to apply for Application of VW Hybrid-Projects, which involves testing car’s functions on a test bench or on track, failure debugging, analysis, documentation and also discussing the requirements/results with the customer.
- An engineering study at Arts et Métiers ParisTech in France has enabled me to acquire systematic knowledge in mechanics, physics, powertrain, electrotechnics and industrialization. A further study in the Performance School of Nogaro has brought me extended knowledges in automotive science, such as aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, embedded software and tyres behavior. After my studies, I collected relevant work experience through various internships in the automotive industry.
- During my work experience in Bosch with EBM2, ECV5 and EBD3, I performed several monitoring task tests and several system tests. Monitoring tests are about testing the safety functionality of level 2 and 3 to validate the calibration of the monitoring package, the level 2 validation are done on vehicle whereas the level 3 is mainly performed on ECU testbench. System tests are to confirm whether a change in a function is still working with the complete software applied in a vehicle or a labcar, these tests require to investigate the documentation of the function to be able to trigger the wanted part of the function and get the expected results. Thanks to this experience I gained a good understanding in the Bosch function frame and how the processes are established. I became used to handling the engineering software such as INCA, MDA and Matlab, as well as a couple of Bosch specific tools such as EcuWorX, or EASEE Sdom.
- My study background combined with relevant work experiences makes me an ideal candidate for this position. Most importantly, I see the hybrid as an unescapable step for the mobility, and I would be proud to contribute to this evolution.
- Concerning language skills, my mother tongue is French, and I can communicate fluently in English. My German skill is currently of A2 level and I strive to improve it continually by attending courses at VHS (9 hours per week). Furthermore, being in a German environment will continue to help me greatly to improve my language level.
- I look forward to a chance to know more about the position and introduce myself personally.
- Yours sincerely
- Félix Hillion
