Hey guys, how’s it goin?

I am still trying to take in what happened with the tournament this week. So many people either clinched playoff spots or got eliminated. I had to explain a whole tiebreaker scenario on stream. The people were rooting for CHAOS and got... something amazing. If you want to see the zaniness that unfolded on stream, check the Puzzle General VODs. I expect them to be on YouTube probably at the end of April / beginning of May.

Chaos also reigned on my Saturday broadcast. (I was able to stream during the tournament? What?) The struggle to beat a Puzzle League game when you're first learning to play it is very real. The tutorial shows you how to make combos before how to make chains so you just get by matching four or five or six panels at a time. I've seen it unfold so many times on Twitch before. Now imagine trying to go fast doing JUST that. No chains, combos only.

No need to imagine it because I did it. Easy, Normal, Hard, V-Hard; all done with no chains whatsoever. Yeah, it's bad enough to try to send enough garbage to your opponents at the later levels without chaining. And yeah, it's even worse when your opponent's sent garbage transforms into a chain that you had no way of seeing coming, forcing you to reset the stage. Avoiding chains is hard work! Harder than actually making combos!
