Biography:
With a degree in physics, Karlov initially arrived in the Zone curious of the strange phenomena occurring in the area. He quickly settled with other newcomers at the Cordon and was noted as a sharp blackjack player often hustling younger Stalkers out of their meagre earnings. After stumbling upon an artefact on an unfortunate soul, he quickly decided that money was greater than knowledge. Karlov eventually set off north to discover more obscure specimens. At the Garbage he was stopped short by the nefarious Bandits. With his possessions or life at stake, a hand of blackjack quickly earned him the respect of the greedy Bandit lieutenant. Led to the Dark Valley and impressed by the Bandits fortification. Karlov established himself as the Bandit's sole artefact dealer and one of the Zone’s sole artefact brokers.
