  1. Barnaldomoriem "Barnaldo" "Barnes"
  2. Barbarian -> Conqueror
  3. 27, Anima
  4.
  5. Aliases: Leader of the Scorpions, Scorpion King,
  6. Relatives: Parents Stephan (deceased) and Miranda, brother Rudolph "Ralph", sister Daniella (presumed deceased)
  7.
  8. Second born child of Miranda, first born child of Stephan. Raised in Saysamu under a strict religious household, Barnaldo was taught the teachings of Saint Lutia by his father and attended a religious-based school with the intentions of one day becoming a bishop like his father, or a priest. However, throughout his studies Barnaldo became skeptical with what he was being taught and the religion as a whole, both disagreeing that the ruler of the kingdom should be people who claim to be reincarnated saints of old, and that the stories and knowledge he was told was the whole truth. His father, Stephan, would often berate him for not staying with the faith and denouncing the teachings of the Saint Lutia church. At 18, Stephan, drunk (a state he was commonly in at home), proceeded to beat Miranda for allowing his sinful influence to taint his first born son. Both Rudolph and Barnaldo heard the commotion and came running. Barnaldo immediatly attacked his father to try and get him to leave his mother alone, and in the scuffle ended up killing him. Despite the incident being an accident, Miranda denounced him, calling him a murderer instead of seeing him as her savior. Barnaldo left the kingdom of Tyeola behind and travelled on his own around the world, eventually settling in Undbur where he joined a notorius bandit group known as the Sand Crabs. He had no quarrel with the denizens, but needed food and water to survive. However, around the age of 22, when the leader of the group was killed during a raid, Barnaldo decided to leave banditry behind in favor of picking up mercenary work. In his eyes, mercenaries have an easier time since they can perform anything for anyone, and get paid with less risk, while bandits are constantly hunted for bounties or killed during raids. He founded the Scorpions, a mercenary group who travels and works in all of Fafnir, with their home base in an abandoned fort near Nepeoti.

  10. Around the start of the story, he and his crew are hired by prominent figure from Jomroth which ends up dragging him into a war he had no intention of joining.
  11.
  12. Unlike his parents, Barnaldo values those who can create their own opinion and despises when people claim they want a change but won't do anything to influence it. He prides himself on being in control of his own life, despite being unaware how easily he's being manipulated by foreign parties until it's too late to do anything.
  13.
  14. Weilds the Tasumust, an axe he inherited from the old leader of Sand Crabs, Oswald. He inherits the Beltiatur, a sycthe enhanced with dark energies, from the Hailip royal court. Wears a necklace around his neck that he got from his mother at a young age, and never takes it off.
