  1. Vanilor did infact do as he was told. His body lagging backwards, through it should be noted it was held back by a weighted harness he wore! It was of medium size and shape, and it was clearly the first time he'd fought while wearing it. Still, provided his teacher had been holding back, the dragon would be able to react, thanks to his bells. (1)
  2.
  3. He'd duck backwards, aiming to respond to the thrown punch as she's instructed him to do so. His body moved on auto pilot, as his blow come shooting forward. This was aimed to knock Ying's strikes to the left and give him an oppening to counter attack! The weights holding himback slightly! (2)
  4.
  5. Vanilor watched as his blow was kicked away! He was impressed how his master fought, and seemed to have an answer to everything! He was glad he'd chosen to follow the Palm Bell style afterall! He grinned and got hismself recentered, after taking the blow! His weighted body shifting with a soft grunt! (3)
  6.
  7. He'd then take a few steps back, his weights pushing agasint his body. He'd relax softly as he moved forward. He threw a punch aimed for his Si-Fu's midsection. Once the blow was parried, he put his plan into action. The sound of the bells his ally! (4)
  8.
  9. He'd shift and suddenly jump upwards, sending a kick right for his Master's chin! The goal to land a blow upon her, though held back so as not to even deal any real damage, and send them back a few paces. This manuvers all the harder due to his weighted form upon his body! (5)
  10.
  11. Vanilor nodded and did as He was told. He would roll his neck, the sounds of the bells upon his head were already starting to ring. The sounds begining to build up around the room. He would move slowly, still held back by the weighted harness he was wearing. (6)
  12.
  13. His arms would go into the air, even while they we're held back by the weights, and begin to shake noteably. The sound of the bells would increase even more so upon the area. The sounds ringing around the area. It might even be slightly annoying to Ming and Makoto! Each sound was listened to and taken into careful consideration. (7)
  14.
  15. "I think I've got it now, Si-Fu. This is incrediable! I am starting to understand how each new ring signifies something else new. I am so happy I can learn under you. You're an impressive person, to have invented such a complex and useful syle!"
  16.
  17. His body continued to shake and shift. The bells continueing around the area. He was working hard to learn this new technique. It could be shown in his movements, and his willingness to continue to strive forward. The weights upon his body slowing him, but not to terribly hindering his movements. (8)*
  18.
  19. Vanilor rushed forward suddenly, aiming to meet the metal man in battle! He'd hold back on useing his dragon abilities for now. He wanted to test the waters for his first attack. Instead he aimed to start off slow! The weights upon his body clearly holding him back! (9)
  20.
  21. He'd jump into the air, aiming to send a sudden thrust like palm strike from above, and a few feet away! The goal was to simply knock the Golem into the ground, to see how well it got back up! However, it would also likely push the golem several feet as well! This attack was a bit new to experince while weighted. (10)
  22.
  23. His body shuddered softly, the sound of his bones popping and his focus on the golem. He wasn't going to pretend that he knew the robotic construct's full combat abilities. He sure as hell didn't want to get hit with that painfull looking sword! His wings flapped a bit harder then usual, taking him into the sky. (11)
  24.
  25. Vanilor was struck, but not with any real damage. He'd look down at the golem and nod. It was durable indeed, so he'd have to kick up his own game a bit if he wanted to actually deal damage to the metal man. The weights upon his body kept him focused. (12)
  26.
  27. He'd allow his left and right hands to blossom into fire as he focused down at the Golem. His focus on the body as he allowed his body to drop out of the sky, the weigted harness aiding in that intent. Then he'd swing his left hand forward, with the intent to slam his fist into the Golem's side! (13)
  28.
  29. His wings would once more begin to flap. He'd take this moment try once more to get her weighted body airborn. This was more for his own personal benefit then it was for the spar. He needed to get used to the weights anyway! A grin upon his face. He was actually enjoying the test of the metal man. (14)
  30.
  31. Vanilor saw the blade coming towards him once more. The weights upon his body we're slowly becomeing less and less of a hindrance, but they we're still new. His tail would shoot out form between his legs, knocking the blade in the Golem's blade aside! (15)
  32.
  33. In that same motion, a blow would come from the dragons leg, coated in flame, with the hope to kick the Golem's arm or chest with the same level of explosive force as his hand delievered earlier. The kick was a bit harder then usual, as the weights upon his body once more showed their effect upon his body. (16)
  34.
  35. Then he'd contiue to raise higher into the air. His weighted form looking to raise higher into the air. The goal was to test just how high up the Golem could get! Afterall, that's what Terran had wanted wasn't it? The oppertunity to test his robotic minion? (17)
  36.
  37. Vanilor inhaled deeply even as he watched shun comeing in towards him. He'd heard of the man's unique fighting prowess, but never had a chance to actually fight him before. The dragon wouldn't hide the fact he was excited even while laiden with the weighted harness he wore! (18)
  38.
  39. He'd allow each and every blow the incoming from the floating man to slam into his form. He felt the light damage the man provided his body from his spears, and his body's natural aura disapiated the incoming mana, though it was by a very close margin. His body shuddered with excitment as he moved forward. The weights acting agasint his natural motion of movement! (20)
  40.
  41. Vanilor would then rush forward, aiming to send a single fire infused punch for Shun's chest! He had opened up with Mana, so Vanilor might as well open up with an attack on the same level! His weights causeing his body to complain, but his excitement pushing complaints out of his mind! (21)
  42.
  43. Vanilor felt the chill of the netherworld caress him even as he made contact with Shun and his unnatural body. It was shocking to say the least as he felt his very stamina drain out of his body. This wasn't what he'd been expecting but he'd do his best to respond. He could feel the weights upon his body even more now as sweat falls down his face. (22)
  44.
  45. He'd throw his body to the right, aiming to avoid the incoming spear blow. It grazed his scales but didn't gain the purchess it would need to deal real damage or thowing him into the air. A grin formed upon his face as his weights continued to act agasint himself. He would finally be ready to exhale a mighty beam of fire, He had already been saving up this fire from eariler! (23)
  46.
  47. His body continued to be weighed down as he finally unleashed the mighty stream of fire from his maw! This would be followed by the dragon suddenly standing in place and waveing his arms like a luniatic! The sounds of bells would ring out across the field! Vanilor continued to mantain his focus upon Shun! (24)
  48.
  49. Vanilor had been waving his arms in the like he just didn't care, with the bells ringing along. These bells ultimately silanced as he was thrown into the air like a child's playtoy at the whim of a gale force wind! A look of shock and surprise upon his face. He wasn't used to gravity telling him to go fuck himself. Not even the weights upon his arms had saved him! (25)
  50.
  51. The view would have been nice from this far in the air excpet it wasn't under his own power. This alone was enough to put up the red flags within his mind. See, Vanilor was a dragon, and usually, dragons don't get thrown around like rag dolls. This was a whole new world that Shun was showing him. Except, keeping his eyes open didn't make it better. The descent was slowed only slightly by his wings as the push of Gravity fell away. The weights upon his chest arms and legs didn't do much to slow his fall. (26)
  52.
  53. That was untill the moment the weight of grabity shifted upon him once more. his wings snapped back and his weights gleefully worked with the force of gravity. His body plummuted into the earth, slamming into the ground like a boulder, thowing up dirt, debries, and a cloud of dust. He was now embeded within his own little Vanilor Crater! (27)
  54.
  55. Vanilor walked onto the field, His focus forward as he allowed his natural energy to swell within him. His focus on his fellow dragon. Song had told him to have more pride in what he was, and as such, he planned to take this fight as serious as he could as a Dragon. His body rippled as her weighted harness shifted with his transformation. (28)
  56.
  57. Vanilor blinks and in the moment the battle had begun. His fellow dragon had vanished from his view and reappered like a spiral of death. He couldn't fathom what kind of power Tao had been hideing, but it was much greator then his own. A shockingingly huge gap had just been made apperent. His weighted body couldn't even see the incoming attack, let alone react to it. (29)
  58.
  59. Pain filled the fire dragons mind as the lighting was disperesed with no actual effort, his natural aura putting the lightning out like a breeze would a candle. It was the physical rush that came and felt real damage to Vanilor. He felt the drill like attack pierce his scales and his flesh, blood dripping from the wound and a shocked expression upon his face. His weighted body shifted, if only to try and acommodate the rush of how he was feeling. (30)
  60.
  61. his body didn't want to react at all. The pain from the wound more then suffuciently rendering his body momentairly shocked. It passed quick enough, but the look painted upon his face was easy enough to read. Tao had taken the advantage in this battle in a big way and it was unclear if Vanilor could even keep up, let alone fight back. His body shivered under it's weights. (31)
  62.
  63. Fire erupted around Vanilor's leg and then with a sudden jerking motion, he'd aim to send the limb into Tao's side. Pain and reataliation the only two things on his mind in this moment. He could feel the blood running down his body, and it honestly put him in an odd sort of mood. His weights also put his body at sorts. (32)
  64.
  65. Vanilor was at least able to graze Tao. It was a minor thing, but something none the less. His natural aura once more pushing away the minor electricty that coursed around Tao's frame. He wasn't one to gloat, but he was pretty sure his defense was the only thing about him he could brag about. The weights upon his body shivered under the rush of lighting. (33)
  66.
  67. He watched his opponenet aim to lift into the sky. A look of admeration came acros his face as he watched his opponenet do so. He wasn't ashamed of the fact he was loseing to a superior dragon. This was to be expected. His weighted body aimed to flex his wings. (34)
  68.
  69. This action was interuped by the words and action his opponenet spoke. Once more the only thing he was able to even perceive we're Tao's words before he was ingulfed in a word of lighting. He shuddered as he felt his weighted body finally effectred by the lighting. Though in comparison to the earlier drill attack, this was MUCH more managable. (35)
  70.
  71. Even with the pain he felt, he opted to once more attack. A deep inhale to expand his body to cartoonish porportions before a sudden, jerky exhale. His body grounded by the weights. He would unleash a torrent of fire into the air, like a beam of power. His aim was to hit the airborn Tao, if he could! (36)
  72.
  73. Vanilor felt his body once more struck with the lighting of the field he stood in. The black lighting raceing throughout his body. It wasn't alot of damage, but it was annoying enough to merit thinking about leaveing, here rather rapidly. He would of course have to worry about the clashing dragon breath coming down at his weighted body as he tensed up. (37)
  74.
  75. lighting consumed fire and in the span of a few seconds, his fire was gone. Lighting slamming into his body, though so weakened from the clash it was harmleslly thrown off by Vanilors Aura. The dragon shook his head and fell to his knees, allwoing the weights to drag him down. (38)
  76.
  77. "I Lost. . . I am sorry for challangeing you Tao. . Your my better."
  78.
  79. Vanilor didn't expect the women to rush right righ in. His weighted body was already held by the weights, and as such the blade came in and slammed into his chest. The blade cleaved through his natural armor and into his flesh, eliciting a spray of blood as a reward for the swordswomen. The dragon grimmiced in pain as his full power blossomed forth. (39)
  80.
  81. His natural dragon heritage and his focus now entierly upon the female. He couldn't help the pain he'd already taken but he could at least focus his intenion forward. The bells upon his body jingling softly to identify where he was at all times! (40)
  82.
  83. The dragon would send a single punch forward, coated in flames. His intention was to slam into the girl's chest! His intention was to shoot her backwards, while also landing a bit of damage upon the girl. An explosion acompanied his blow! (41)
  84.
  85. Vanilor was able to react to that incoming blow. He'd allow his body to shift and he'd aim to take the blow at a graze, his natural defenses hopefully avoiding the burnt of the blade's power as it grazed his scales. His body shivered with the effeot needed to move while wearing his weights. (42)
  86.
  87. He knew he was outclassed, and as such opted not to hold back. He'd inhale deeply and do something reckless. He'd aim to breath fire point blank upon the female as she had remained right infront of him. His body was slowed by the weights, but his mind worked faster to compensate. (43 )
  88.
  89. Vanilor was barley able to keep up with the next couple of attacks, but he shifted his body slightly. The bells upon his body's sounds alerting to her intended action. He took this oppertunity to launch himself into the air. His weights and natural reflexes we're at their limit. If she continued attacking at that rate, he'd have to start eating damage. The blade had been grazed and having met with his scales and slide off harmlessly. (44)
  90.
  91. "Excessive? Didn't you cut open my chest with the same level of intent when this battle began?"
  92.
  93. It was an honest question. He wasn't aiming to kill, maim, or otherwise hurt the girl, but she'd came out of the gate with some sword that left his scaled feeling maliable and cut him. He wasn't exactly in a postion to take risks with her. Still, he knew he wouldn't be able to land a single blow upon her unless he got a little creative. His wings send him skywards and backwards. His body was moving slower thanks to his weights. (45)
  94.
  95. His focus was on testing her speed now. He needed to know if he could create the opening he needed to actually be able to counter attack. All the same, he'd refrain from attacking again for now. She'd shown issue with one of his few attacks, and as such, his honor wouldn't allow him to do so again. Still he felt the weight upon his body from the harness he wore. It was starting to get more manigable. (46)
  96.
  97. Vanilor nodded and slipped into a well practiced stance. The sound of bells can be heard throughout the area. His focus now upo the wooden sword weilding Yatogari. Vanilor would roll his shoulders as he prepared for the spar, the weighted harness he wore at all times weighing him down! (47)
  98.
  99. He'd then rush forward, aiming to start the spar off by getting into close range. Why wouldn't he afterall. The man's muscles bulged and complained at the weights he wore upon his body. The intention was pretty simple, aferall. (48)
  100.
  101. A single punch would be thrown towards her left center of mass. He didn't view gender while he sparred, for his own saftey and the consideration of his opponent. His focus here was just to manage to land a blow upon her at this point! (49)
  102.
  103. Vanilor shifted his body in response to each blow as it came down upon him. The sound of bells ringing around the battle field as he did so. His body held back by the weight he wore, but his reasponse and his style made up for his lack of raw skill. (50)
  104.
  105. His body was ready to react in such a way as he was trained. Each and every blow from the blade grazed across his scales and skin. Some pushing against the weighted harness he wore. It was a look of astonisment as a majority of the blows actually brought him a small look of pain. It wasn't pain, more a sharp shock from each blow. (51)
  106.
  107. The dragon lycanus then threw himself into the air, a sudden drop kick aimed for the girl's chest! His goal? To make use of his bells forwarning and forsight. His movements would be quite a bit faster then usual. His body further weighed down by the use of his weighted harness. (52)
  108.
  109. Vanilor couldn't do anything to dodge the incoming sword strikes, but he didn't really need to. His body's natural durability was paying off in spades here as he felt the blades pass across his flesh, scales and weighted harness. A look of understanding passing his face. (53)
  110.
  111. He would shake his head as he shook off the feeling of pointlessness. The girl had come into this battle thinking she'd be unable to hurt him at all. The same was now being felt of the dragon. She'd been able to effortlessly avoid his every blow so far, but oh well. He'd keep at it. (54)
  112.
  113. Fire erupted around his feet as he once more took advantage of the Richu technique of the Bell Palm. He'd once more jump into the air, aiming to land a blow upon the girl if he was able as he tried to land a flameing drop kick upon the women! (55)
  114.
  115. Vanilor shifted his body and chose not to unleash his true nature. This had been another form of training he'd been putting himself through. He had always been so relient upon his unleashed form. This was an issue he had to overcome with his own personal fighting style. He took up a basic Kung fu stance even with his weighted harness upon his body and watched his opponenet come moveing forward. (56)
  116.
  117. Vanilor would watch the incoming blow as if it we're occuring in slow motion for him. Not because he was some time manipulation meguffin, but because he'd trained his reflexes and fighting to be on par with most hand to hand fighters. His weighted body held back only slightly as he shifted his body expertly out of the way. (57)
  118.
  119. The next step in his grand master plan, was to throw a sudden punch forward towards Crathen's neck. He was going to put to work his brothers words as fast as humanly possible. The dragon lycunas wasn't here to mince words or hold back, he was here to fight and expand his world as a warrior! (58)
  120.
  121. Vanilor didn't even bother trying to avoid the incoming blow to his body. He let the foot hit him directly upon his chest without even trying to make it look like it was hard upon him. He felt the weighted harness holding back his body once more but shrugged it off. He wasn't the type to be held back by such a thing. (59)
  122.
  123. His gaze would fall upon his brother as he used yet another technique of Kung fu and Vanilor commited it to memeory. He had come here to train and grow and so each and every lesson his brother cared to share with him, would be adheared too. His weighted body held back as he looked upon Crathen. (60)
  124.
  125. The Dragon lycunas would shift his body like his brother had done, his head and body comepltely in the zone as he did so. He'd been studying kung fu and how to fight for the last ten years. He wasn't the type to slack. So even while his weights rested upon his body, he would suddeny bring up his foot in an attempt to knock crathen off balance! (61)
  126.
  127. Vanilor shifts as the punch came in towards him and his X formation as he crouched in his defensive formation. The weights upon his body still a ever present thing upon her body. A small smile upon his face as he blocked the blow without any effort and then shifted suddenly. He would rush forward, his hand would shoot up and aim to grasp the incoming punch. This wasn't even that complicated of a techique! (62)
  128.
  129. He would then shift his body, and bring himself in close to Crathen's body. Vanilor's movement was solid and his body was strong. The added momentum from the incoming shoulder check was all that he needed to finally push himself into the next level. (63)
  130.
  131. Then came the punch portion of the rebuttal. The dragon would send his own punch, but slow his movement down considerably, to almost a snails pace. The goal here was to ensure that his opponenet would be able to replicate the defensive technique. He'd turn his head to Sun and smile. (64)
  132.
  133. "How am I doing?"
  134.
  135. Vanilor nodded his understanding and shiffted into his most well used martial arts stance. His body shifting under the weight of his harness that he wore at all times for the purpose of becoming stronger. He would roll his shoulders softly as he mentally prepared himself for what was about to happen. (65)
  136.
  137. His next movement would be to move forward with the intent to begin their spar with an open minded movement. His every movement was followed by the sound of bells chimeing that would echo around the arena. It was obvious that this dragon was not one for subterfuge. His body was still held back by the weights. (66)
  138.
  139. His first came shooting forward without any hinderance as the look upon his face was one of determination. He was intent on doing his best to make this spar interesting and fun for the both of them, while also acting as further training for his own means of gaining power. The weight training he was doing one of them. (67)
  140.
  141. Vanilor fetl the kick make impact with his chest, but he shifted his body so that the kick would graze off his scales. The blow was something impressive, but then again, this was Jin he was fighting. He'd been watching the man fight for years afterall. He was on the same level as the dragon, in Vanilor's opinon. His weighted body continued to shift. (68)
  142.
  143. He'd then move forward suddenly, aiming to send a sudden strike for the man's neck. It wasn't aimed to hit lethally or anything, and his body was still held back by the weights he wore, but still it was something to keep the fight interesting. (69)
  144.
  145. Hit or not, he would jump backwards, and then begin swinging his arms as he stood before Jin. The sounds of the bells would be heard even more so now as they rang around the battle field. He was building up his sound for something! (70)
  146.
  147. Vanilor watched as Jin quickly brought a hand to protect him from the blow to his neck. It was an impressive manuver and one that made him smile. He would then watch as the man prepared his incoming blow. The dragon wasn't expecting such a prompt counter attack, but he should have been. (71)
  148.
  149. He'd shift his body as the incoming punch grazed agasint his sclaes. The follow up jump attack was avoiding all together thanks to his employment of avoidance in lue of defense. A look of relief falling upon his face. He really was learning. (72)
  150.
  151. The dragon would then aim to retaliate in an explosive way. Fire would erupt around his left hand as he jumped forward, aiming to send a blow right to the man's stomach as he was still in the falling motion of his earlier jump. His control over his natural energy pulling back the fire so as not to explode, and be limited to only minor, surface heat with no burns! (73)
  152.
  153. Vanilor figured she wanted him to unleash, but he had other plans, at least for now. He wanted to test himself as he was now. The bells alerted him to her apprach, and he easily shifted back from the incoming kick. His body was weighed down by weights of the same intenisty as hers. (74)
  154.
  155. She'd find her kick hitting only air as he moved forward now. His left arm shooting forward, with the intent to hit her thigh and knock her backwards and off balance. A friendly grin upon his face as he watched her. His body was still moving at impressive speeds, but not near as fast as some, with his weights upon his body! (75)
  156.
  157. Vanilor was impressed with the girls reactive ability, and the masterful way she shifted from the incoming blow into her own. The sound of bells ringing throughout the battlefield as the sun started to set across the horizen. It was an almost shonen like moment! The Dragon didn't intend to stop the incoming blow! His weighted body taking it, and showed no sign of the damage as it came in. (76)
  158.
  159. He thought of useing his basic dragon attack, but she didn't ask him to not hold back, so he opted to not do so. No fire blossomed upon his body, and no inhancement to his damage would be forthcoming. Instead his body, preped for the counter thanks to the altering of the bells would spring forward. Her weighted arm shot forward, aiming to slam into the girls adams Apple. (77)
  160.
  161. This would be immideitly followed up by his foot shooting forward. It's aim? To lace behind her and shoot back towards it's owner. This movement would aim to finish what the first strike hopefully started. The goal was to send the girl, who was hopefully choughing at this point, off balanc and into the dirt and out of her stance! before returning to his base stance, as he adjusted his body and his weights. (78)
  162.
  163. Vanilor was blocked by a move he knew well, smileing and nodding even as the blows came upon him, the back hand actually manageing to causeing a stinging pain upon his cheek, the kick wrapping around his forearm. The brefiest pinch of pain registered there. The weights upon his body continued to do their job, slowing him and his reactions. (79)
  164.
  165. "good job. That actually kinda hurt."
  166.
  167. He admited to his sparring partner. He'd shift his body suddenly as muscles and scales grew around his body. His bulk expanding as two lethery wings shot out from his back. His eyes narrowed as he looked down upon the smaller Girl. She had wanted him to stop holding back, so minus the weights he continued to wear, he would. (80)
  168.
  169. He'd aim to take advanatage of the fact she'd locked her leg around his arm. He would aim to hug her to him, via her leg, or by her waist, however that might end up. The goal was pretty simple, He wanted to bring her into a bear hug and then take to the skies, weighted girl and all. Stress was put upon his wings but he managed, in his unleashed form, he was much stronger (81)
  170.
  171. Vanilor grinned suddenly and happily. He faintly recalled the girl telling him she was a frog years ago, but his memories had made a fool of him before, and as such he had not fought as thought he we're fighting another lycan. However, with her transformation into not only a frog, but the familure look of a crocodile, the dragon found himself filled with a deep searted natalgia. (82)
  172.
  173. "I miss you. . "
  174.
  175. He said, a whisper that unless she tried hard to hear, she might even miss due to the rush of the wind as they travaled. He felt her teeth bite into his flesh, his skin and scales doing alot to hold back the full power of the blow, but enough that a few rivlets of blood would fall down his arm. Weights or no, he'd have to actually start using his dragon heritage now, if only to show her the respect she'd just given him. (83)
  176.
  177. "One spicy meatball, coming up"
  178.
  179. He thought to himself He could kind of see the scales upon her form, and trusted her to be able to survive what was coming. He continued to hold onto her, as his lungs exploded outward, to cartoonish levels, before he'd let it all loose in one mighty bellow of fire right upon her head as he dropped her from his hold. (84)
  180.
  181. Vanilor doesn't even try to dislodge the girl at this point. His face contorted as a new feeling of pain blossomed along his body. Blood escaped into the frog-gators mouth. Coppery and maybe even a little zesty. The dragon would continue if that's what she really wanted. Fire would erupt around his hands. (85)
  182.
  183. "I hope to see you grow. I hope to be a part of that growth."
  184.
  185. Tears fell down his cheeks as his memories, pushed away long ago, resurfaced. Both hands would come now. One aimed for her stomach, This was the arm that had the bite at it's shoulder blade, and the other for her head. He was letting a little more loose, but yet, still something was held back, some primal power that he'd never use in a spar. (86)
  186.
  187. He continued to raise, having never actually stopped. They were far above the village now, the birds shouted their displeasure and gave the pair a wide berth! (87)
  188.
  189. Vanilor blinked as he walked through the village, enjoying the light rain upon his body as he did so. His training to come into understanding of his natural energy had been one that led him to enjoying all that nature had to offer at all times. As he walked, he naturally took in the energy that existed all around him. His draconian form blossoming to it's full form. He enjoyed being unleashed, the feeling of his true nature embodying himself. In his right hand a ball of fire blossomed forth, the dragon contemplating it as he moved in his weighted harness. (88)
  190.
  191. His body was adjusting, finally, to the weights he wore. The ball of fire in his grasp fluttered as he moved. The little orange ball of fire was something of an enigma to the dragon. It was as if he created a small life every time he fought. Fire breathed and shifted. It grew stronger with more oxygen and it could consume all as if inflicted with a ravenous hunger if not treated with respect. (89)
  192.
  193. His mind lingered on the aspect of fire as he made his way into the training field. His mind was preoccupied with the thought of what the fire he used everyday meant to him. He had always thought of himself the pinical of fire, but since he'd fought Raven, His new mentor, he'd come to realize, he was not the alpha he pictured himself to be. His body shifted into a ready position at the field's center, the weights upon his body shifting with him. (90)
  194.
  195. Weighed down as he was, and eager to once again feel the burst of flames upon his body, he didn't do anything to avoid the incoming blast of fire. It washed over him like a mothers embrace, giving him another moment of silent contemplation. He had to think on what fire meant to him and to the others around him. Fire could protect life, could take life. IT was life. (91)
  196.
  197. The fire washed off his weighted form and passed harmlessly, which made sense. Raven wasn't unleashed at the moment. She was warming up and Vanilor understood that. However, he'd promised Raven he'd show her his newly mastered technique. The little ball of fire would erupt to life upon both his hands, and he'd rush forward. His weighted form holding him back only slightly. This was his method of fighting after all! (92)
  198.
  199. He'd send two punches forward, aiming to throw a pair of savage bows for Raven's chest. More specifically, he'd aim to hit her right and left shoulder blades. He wasn't aiming to kill her, but he didn't think to hold back terribly much for this opening attack. He wanted Raven to be impressed by his growth! His weights held him back, but the bells upon his body rang out, allowing the blow he would usually try to land from right in front of his opponent, to surprisingly come from a few feet away, as his body shifted to allow for the unorthodox strike! (93)
  200.
  201. Vanilor watched as nature energy once more took hold of the women before him. Blue fire erupted forward around the female as she ascended to whom she truly was as a fellow mythic lycanus. A grin fell upon his weighted form as he watched. Her fire mesmerized him, and set him ablaze anew. She was his goal in life lately, and with the loss of Taiyang, likely one of his few remaining female lycan friends. He wasn't sure what Lily was, friend or acquaintance. (94)
  202.
  203. Fire was the name of this training session, and because of this he welcomed the incoming attacks like they we're old friends. He could tell from the way her fire burned, he'd not have the same issue as the last time he took this blow. Fire en wrapped him from the first blow and He sought to understand it. The feeling that came from being en wrapped by fire. His weighted body shifted from the blow as he contemplated the feeling of fire burning his body. (95)
  204.
  205. Then came the second blow from the blue covered women and a grin formed upon his face. He loved fighting Raven when she was in the mood to fight, but he could tell she wasn't really into it right at this moment. Her fire didn't flicker with the same intensity of her in full battle mode. He let it wash over him, his weighted body shifting once more, as he thought on the flames she wielded against him. (96)
  206.
  207. "I think, perhaps, you should go rest, Lady Raven. I feel as though you are more tired then you perhaps let on, and I'd rather be able to fight you when you are at your best, and we can both grow as mythic lycauns together!"
  208.
  209. He admitted, dismissing his own fire with a finale thought on what it meant to him as an ally as well as a weapon. He would allow his unleashed form to fade, before shifting his weighted body to move forward once more. This had been a fruitful, if not short, training session! (97)
  210.
  211. Vanilor slumped back against the well. The look upon his face was one of utter loss and depression. His body was weighed down by the massive weighted harness he wore. His every motion was a moment of training and effort. He would shake his head softly. A ball of fire would alight within his palms, created of converted Nature energy. He contemplated the weight of this ball of fire within his grasp as he looked out past the plants of this place. The fire was his most recent source of training, on top of his weights. (98)
  212.
  213. "I don't know, Ban. It just seems like. . I can't ever catch up. Long. . Tao. . Both we're younger then me, but better in almost every way. I feel like. . I just. . I just don't amount to much as a warrior. Like I have some hump I can't cross."
  214.
  215. Vanilor blinked as he listened to Ban speak and watched the man's movements. The ball of fire within his left hand dimmed, as he thought of giving up. He'd thought about it for just a moment. Simply retiring from public face and hiding in some cave. The life of a lonely hermit, devoid of honor or attachment. Vanilor shifted his whole body, doing a pseudo crunch with the weights upon his body. He could feel the weights doing their job with his body. The flame started to pick up as Ban continued his speech. Vanilor could feel it, feeding of his emotion, and his natural energy. (99)
  216.
  217. Fire surged forward around both his hands now as his General's words rang into his ears. He looked upon Ban with a new Sense of devotion to the man as he would slowly begin to raise. He could feel his passion a lighting once more as Ban compared the two of them together. The feeling of warmth crossed his body. The fire as alive as he felt in this moment. His weighted body groaning with the effort to rise. (100)
  218.
  219. "Your right. . I am not a coward Ban. . I can't just walk away from my home. . My friends. . My duty. I am Vanilor. . One of Chugoku's Dragons!"
