[20:49] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [The team has just accompanied the 9th Armored Cavalry Regiment further into the city, participating in a strike on a large collection of demonics. It's all quieting down, but hasn't been completely pacified yet as there are still the sounds of weapons.]

[20:51] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [Right now the team is walking through the center of the square, the nearby Colonel looks on as her troops sweep up. She seems a little annoyed.]
06[20:52] * Raymond checks his wristwatch before looking around. Now where did Dia leave that car...

06[20:54] * [Ora]Mia takes a gander look at the colonel....she looks vexated.
[20:54] <[Ora]Mia> 14 Something... troubling you colonel Carazza?
[20:55] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: Eh, this just took a little longer than expected. There are still some holed up over there; we're going to have trouble getting to them.
06[20:57] * [k]Dia , after following them all this kind, understand that there is no cure for the infected. All we can do is euthanasia.

[20:58] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [The Colonel turns her head to regard you.]

[21:07] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [The Colonel looks up and surveys the sky, though the visor of her cap projects a shadow over her eyes. Seeing something, she grins and waves over a soldier with a radio on his back.]
[21:08] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: Just a minute, actually. Please give me a moment... need to get those out of the hole there.
06[21:09] * [Owen]Katherine shakes her head. It's no different than back in Britian... completely average and unimportant. She sighs sadly.
[21:10] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [The Colonel picks up the radio, speaking into it with a tone of mild annoyance.]
06[21:12] * [Owen]Katherine walks over to Mia.  She wants someone to talk to, someone unofficial.
[21:12] <[Owen]Katherine> "Mia... do you mind if I talk to you for a while?"
06[21:13] * [k]Dia kinda look around the place and.... understand the cold, hard truth of this place.
06[21:14] * Raymond looks at Katherine, adjusting his glasses, but turns back. He seems a little distant and a bit djected but it's just there for an instant.
06[21:14] * [Ora]Mia nods happilly and smiles.
[21:14] <[Ora]Mia> 14 Yes, of course.
06[21:14] * [Rut]Ilsa has been quiet. Her eyes don't seem focused on anything in particular.
[21:15] <[Owen]Katherine> "So, you've... been in this city for some time, I heard.  Is this all there is?  Random military sweeps and guerrilla warfare?"
[21:16] <[Ora]Mia> 14 N-no.. it's actually a nice city before all of this.. contamination occurred, we were a crossroad city at one point but.. as you can see now.. we are no longer that.
[21:17] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: Cyclone 4, this is Blackout 6. I need some bombs, if you don't mind; northeast of ...Tauentzplatz, whatever building is on the other side of Blumenstrasse.
[21:19] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [An autogyro flies overhead, circling just northeast of your position before flying back off. As it does, the Colonel gestures at her forward troops. Men and tanks begin to pull back to the plaza.]
06[21:19] * [Owen]Katherine could care less about the warfare in the background right now.
[21:19] <[k]Dia> ?
[21:20] <[Owen]Katherine> "No, I mean... this "war", this "resistance", whatever you call it.  Are these little fights and purges all there are, people getting wounded from friendly fire as much as these... infected things?"
06[21:21] * [Ora]Mia nods.
[21:21] <[Owen]Katherine> "I thought there was something... more, to it, is all..."
[21:21] <[Ora]Mia> 14 Over half the people I attend to are from friendly fires..
06[21:22] * [Rut]Ilsa suddenly stumbles, despite having been standing still. She narrowly misses clipping Mia on the shoulder before regaining her balance.
[21:23] <[Ora]Mia> ..?
06[21:23] * Raymond turns his head.
01[21:23] <Raymond> You all right?
06[21:23] * [Ora]Mia turns around, unaware of the danger she missed..
[21:23] <[Ora]Mia> 14 mmm? Ilsa?
[21:23] <[Rut]Ilsa> Y-yes.
[21:24] <[Rut]Ilsa> I just... need a smoke. Excuse me.
[21:24] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [Three two-engined ground attack planes fly in from above, making a strident noise with their engines. They drop some bombs and pull up, these strike a building with an echoing explosion that blocks out other sounds for an instant. Some of the soldiers cheer as they move up again, but the Colonel has turned to look ahead.]
06[21:25] * [Owen]Katherine winces from the explosion, but soon returns to her thoughts... (This is all there is...?  What an idiot I am.)
[21:25] <[k]Dia> oh. colonnel do it real.
06[21:25] * [k]Dia look at the 'clered' building, deep in thoughts.
06[21:26] * [Rut]Ilsa turns her back to the cacophony and clumsily lights a cigarette. It's true that things had quickly spiraled out control... but she hadn't thought it would affect her this much.

[21:26] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: ...In the interior you will no doubt meet Major Perri.
[21:27] <[Ora]Mia> ..14 Who..?.. I don't think I've met that person before.
06[21:30] * [Owen]Katherine busies herself with studying the pistol she picked up until someone actually addresses her.  She's feeling more and more like just another cog in a giant machine every hour.
[21:31] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: An officer further inside. A very... distinguished person to say the least. I hear he was meant to be moved up; those above meant him to be, but he supposedly got hard to control. Stationed in the very bottom of there, not heard from often.
06[21:31] * [Ora]Mia nods.
06[21:31] * [Ora]Mia then turns to Katherine.
[21:32] <[Ora]Mia> 14 So...I forget.. why are you here again Kathy?..you don't seem.. to..hrm.. belong here..
06[21:32] * [Owen]Katherine is broken from her focus.  She distractedly looks at Mia.
[21:33] <[Owen]Katherine> "O-Oh, me?  I was just... on holiday, and heard a rumor of some cursed city.  It sounded interested.  And then, well... just got dragged into this mess."
06[21:35] * [Rut]Ilsa attempts to get back into the swing of things. She nonchalantly holds a cigarette out to Katherine in offering.
[21:35] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [The sounds of gunfire slowly begin to die down. Off to the side, the man from earlier is taken out and laid out on the pavement next to many other civilians. He doesn't seem to be moving from this distance. At the same time, civvies start approaching some of the soldiers; they keep their distance but make a droning buzz from their voices.]
06[21:36] * [Ora]Mia giggles at Katherine.
[21:39] <[Owen]Katherine> "...what?"
01[21:39] <Raymond> 14Hey, isn't that...
06[21:39] * [Owen]Katherine doesn't have the energy to hold a powerful stare right now.
[21:40] <[Ora]Mia> 14 oh.. hmm? Raymond what now?
06[21:41] * Raymond points over at the civilians laid out on the pavement.
[21:41] <[k]Dia> Ray.
[21:41] <[k]Dia> Is the person... from before?
06[21:41] * Raymond nods.
06[21:41] * [k]Dia sink into depression again.
[21:42] <[k]Dia> In ending, we can save no one...
06[21:43] * Raymond shakes his head.
[21:43] <[Rut]Ilsa> ... Don't smoke?
01[21:43] <Raymond> I wouldn't go quite that far, but... wait, is he dead?
[21:44] <[k]Dia> he is with the dead. He must be is.
[21:44] <[Ora]Mia> He will be..
06[21:44] * [Ora]Mia looks in the same direction as them.
[21:45] <[Rut]Ilsa> --What makes you so sure?
06[21:45] * [Owen]Katherine can't even draw herself to sympathize with the dying and the dead.  It's war.  It happens.  And even when she's staring it in the face, for some reason she doesn't know why she can't feel anything.
[21:46] <[Ora]Mia> ...they've killed all that were infected so far.. even the just sickly.
[21:46] <[Rut]Ilsa> ...
[21:47] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: Ah, that one? Er... No, not yet. Hrrm... when one has a command to run here, civilians can be quite troublesome. But, well, that's all. My orders now are to let you pass.
06[21:48] * [k]Dia stick close to Raymond, awaiting his order.
01[21:49] <Raymond> ...Well, I think I'm ready to go at least.
[21:49] <[Ora]Mia> Please let me say a prayer for the fallen here..
06[21:50] * [Rut]Ilsa tucks the cigarette back into her suit. That girl doesn't look the type to smoke, anyway. Then again, neither does Ilsa, though she tries hard to pull it off.
06[21:50] * [Ora]Mia clasps her hand together and mutter a low tone chant..
06[21:52] * Raymond nods, waiting for her as he looks back at the car.
06[21:54] * [k]Dia pay it no mind. She doesn't need to think as long as Raymond is there. She only need to follow him and do what he wanted her to. That's the best way.
06[21:55] * [Ora]Mia turns to the group with a tear swelling in her right eye but she smiles anyway.
[21:55] <[Ora]Mia> 14... Well, I'm ready!
[21:56] <[Rut]Ilsa> Mm. Let's go.
01[21:56] <Raymond> ...Yeah.
06[21:57] * Raymond turns and begins to walk off, back in the direction of the car. Anything for things to make sense again...
06[21:57] * [Owen]Katherine suddenly realized that Ilsa was trying to be friendly back there, and she totally blew her off.
[21:57] <[Owen]Katherine> "Oh, Ilsa, I'm... I'm sorry, I'm just a little distracted."
[21:58] <[Owen]Katherine> "But no, no I don't smoke."
06[21:59] * [Rut]Ilsa grunts in response. Callous, but not outwardly hostile.
[22:00] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: Well, best of luck to you. I don't know if we'll meet again, but I had fun.
06[22:00] * [Ora]Mia bows towards the colonel.
[22:01] <[Ora]Mia> 14 I will...and I'll do my best to bring him back alive and well colonel.
[22:02] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> Colonel: Good show, sport. I'll count on you then.
06[22:03] * [Ora]Mia smiles warmly at the colonel and follows Raymond.
06[22:04] * Raymond gets back to the car, opening the hood and hurriedly tinkering with the engine.
06[22:05] * [Owen]Katherine just moves to the hatchback trunk and rummages through her duffel bag for whatever reason.
06[22:06] * [Ora]Mia checks her guns to make sure they're loaded and ready for action at anytime. Click, click.. its good.. she checks her first-aid kit.. still in good stock.. hm.. ok!
06[22:08] * [k]Dia have all those stuff with her all the time. Oh you packmule you.
06[22:10] * Raymond gets the engine going, closes the hood and sighs.
01[22:10] <Raymond> Let's just go. Are we all ready?
06[22:10] * [Ora]Mia nods with a rather cheerful umph!
06[22:11] * [Rut]Ilsa kills her cig and slips into the back seat.
[22:11] <[k]Dia> umu.
06[22:11] * [k]Dia nods.
06[22:23] * Raymond gets into the car, putting it in first gear and accelerating slowly.
01[22:25] <Raymond> Let's see... our first goal is across there...
06[22:27] * [k]Dia try to take a look.
[22:28] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [The plaza falls back and all of the soldiers and vehicles have turned to the matter. As you go over a bridge  across a river, the last soldier you see is the Captain. Distinguishable by her beret and holding a rifle with a drum magazine, she turns to look at you for a few seconds and then turns back.]
06[22:29] * [Owen]Katherine looks back.  Suddenly she wishes she would have been paying more attention.
06[22:29] * [Ora]Mia looks back.. hmmm.. she's pretty.
[22:29] <[Owen]Katherine> "Doctor, forgive me, but where are we going now, again?  I was distracted."
06[22:29] * [k]Dia pay her no mind at all. She's trying to remember the way through this messy road network.
01[22:30] <Raymond> We're going further into the city, to the sector that's in the middle of it. Back to where all this...
06[22:30] * Raymond sighs.
01[22:30] <Raymond> Can I tell you all something?
[22:31] <[Ora]Mia> 14 I am ready to listen to you at anytime sir.
[22:31] <[k]Dia> ?
06[22:31] * [k]Dia perks up.
01[22:33] <Raymond> You see, we're headed in the general direction of where... all this got started. It's from a general area, but in that area there's a building dedicated to biological research. I've heard some of the programs there are suspected to have something to do with the situation...
06[22:33] * Raymond breathes deeply before continuing.
01[22:34] <Raymond> ...I was directing them. I just wanted you four to know.
06[22:34] * [Ora]Mia nods.
06[22:35] * [Owen]Katherine nods solemnly.  Something like that was probably to be expected.
[22:35] <[Owen]Katherine> "We do what we can, and we try to fix what we wish we didn't do."
[22:36] <[Ora]Mia> 14 I see..so.. does that mean.. you.. were the cause of this?..
01[22:36] <Raymond> ...I don't know. But that uncertainty is the worst of it.
[22:37] <[Ora]Mia> 14 Ahh.. well.. the important thing is to repent and to fix your wrongdoings.
01[22:39] <Raymond> Well... how could I have known? This looks like nothing I had worked on. And... first I heard that my sister was dead, then that Valeria's still alive... who was right? It was horrible when I thought she had passed, but at least I thought I knew...
06[22:39] * Raymond looks rather distant, unwaveringly focusing on the road ahead.
06[22:39] * [Ora]Mia shakes her head.
[22:39] <[Ora]Mia> 14 The past is the past, there is no use to dwell on it sir.
06[22:40] * [k]Dia just touch his shoulder and let her hand stay there. Nothing can be said. we can only accept it and move on.

06[22:41] * Raymond takes another long breath but says nothing.

[22:46] <[GM]Wardenclyffe> [Beyond the frenzy of the attack you've just left, the city seems quite desolate. There doesn't seem to be anyone around, even though the muffled sounds are still coming from everywhere. A few abandoned cars lie on the street, next to a derailed tram.]

[22:47] <[Ora]Mia> ...My home is here...
06[22:47] * [Ora]Mia looks around for it..
06[22:47] * [k]Dia say that as she look around. It IS filled with negative thoughst.

06[23:26] * Raymond starts the car again and moves forwards for a couple of blocks, turning right onto a street in between two small buildings.

06[23:34] * [Ora]Mia points to that one there, its the most decrepit one there.. you can't miss it.
06[23:35] * Raymond drives over, stopping just in front. He parks the car carefully, despite how obviously unnecessary it is.

06[23:37] * [Ora]Mia shakes her head.

06[23:39] * [k]Dia turn to her (self proclaimed) superior.

06[23:41] * [Ora]Mia enters the old home..
06[23:41] * [Rut]Ilsa moves, attempting to see through the door and into the house from a distance.

[23:42] <[Ora]Mia> [A few minutes later, you hear the sound of furniture being broken and multiple gunshots.]
01[23:43] <Raymond> Oh, just what we needed.
06[23:43] * Raymond opens the window, leaning out to try and get a better look.
[23:44] <[k]Dia> Should I... should I...?!
06[23:44] * [k]Dia aim kar98K at ready.
[23:46] <[Ora]Mia> [It falls silent after a bit, you can hear the footstep, it sounds human and very much alive.. you see Mia coming back out, a bit of blood on her white and red priestess outfit and smiling, carrying a pendant of sorts and a photo album.]
01[23:47] <Raymond> ...Are you all right? What happened in there?
[23:47] <[Ora]Mia> .... I'm.. fine~ Just killed my parents.. that's all.
06[23:47] * [Ora]Mia chuckles softly.
01[23:47] <Raymond> ...Eh-huh...?

06[23:49] * [k]Dia hurry inside that place, disregarding Mia's request!

06[23:50] * [Ora]Mia is too emotionally drained to stop her.. and continues towards Raymond.

06[23:51] * [Rut]Ilsa doesn't know what she is supposed to say.
[23:52] <[Ora]Mia> [Inside Dia, you find two bodies a man and woman in their mid-thirties, both of them were shot through the head, their eyes are still open a white, milky color. Their mouths agape, if you looked carefully you may even catch a tear or two on their face.]

01[23:53] <Raymond> ...What happened? Are you okay? Why...
06[23:54] * [k]Dia checks. Are they one of the infested?!
[23:55] <[Ora]Mia> 14 They were them already before I left to go work at the base... I set out here to do what they wanted me to do.. I.. ended their life.
[23:56] <[Ora]Mia> [Yes, they are infected Dia, in fact they have a very advanced form of the disease.]
06[23:56] * Raymond pulls Mia into a tight hug. Words probably won't do at a point like this.

06[00:06] * Raymond lets go, turning to Dia. He can't think of much to do besides put an arm around her. Just when did all this happen?
[00:08] <[Ora]Mia> [It has wonderful images back when Mia was a child with her two happy parents, there are a few of them with her going out on a picnic too.]

[00:18] <[Ora]Mia> [You see a younger version of me.. a few years different, it hasn't been that long really. But she was brightly smiling in this image as she is currently now. She's holding a bouquet of flowers celebratng her father's job promotion.]

[00:22] <[Ora]Mia> Oh.. my father was a hard working person, we weren't the most financially stable family but we made ends meet, he finally got a promotion for working at the workshop not too far from here.

[00:24] <[Ora]Mia> He worked on...erm.. what was it.. oh yes! It was.. .hm.. I guess you could say.. a handyman?

[00:33] <[Ora]Mia> He, just did things asked of him. Plumbing, biomedical assistant, cook, labor..

[00:39] <[Ora]Mia> hmm... I guess.. I like to be that person who would be relied upon... who you can come to ask for help without fear of being rejected.
