The Hurting Loner

I have to take a hard look at everything
Honestly, I care about many people
Sometimes, its far too much
But I'm now pressed for time

Do I want these people in my life?
They can't take criticism
But they sure want validation
It's the worst thing really

Life's too short honestly
I'm willing to defend people
But there's only so much
Someone can do for maturation

That is something they must find
Otherwise its just another bucket.
