- Savannah The Second
- Before you came along
- I doomed myself to insanity
- Isolating myself to
- my ever increasing depravity.
- Damned by society
- to become a disgruntled hermit
- I then test their boundaries
- trying to see what they permit.
- In the end I only had
- a small group of friends
- we see society for what it is
- and try to make of it, our ends.
- When I ran into you
- my heart leaped for hope
- that perhaps with someone I may share
- my views, hates, and how to cope.
- I swiftly made my move
- trying to make with haste
- but despite my alacrity
- at my words I found myself misplaced.
- then one fateful call
- upon the telephone
- I admitted feelings for you
- perhaps I wouldn't be alone.
- you then returned to me
- equal feelings reflected
- you then gave to me feelings
- of the joy of being accepted.
- I then stand here now
- writing this poem, feeling askew
- because in my mind
- I believe I don't deserve you.
- When life kicks me in the teeth
- and my body feels wretchedly decomposed
- all I do is think of you
- and I feel might unopposed!
- I then grow in strength and
- look optimistically into the day
- because as long as I can see you again
- Life can smash me about as it may.
- All of this becomes irrelevant
- when you come back into my arms
- My brain becomes brimming with joy
- removing me from life's harms.
- I just hope reading this
- thoughts of me do the same
- you are awesome, let none tell you otherwise
- Kitten, You are one hell of a dame.
- XOXO
- Mike
