  3. As for Jojolities, I’ll be brief. Both parties absolutely nailed their monstrous performances, each in their own, disturbing way. Lucil embodies her monstrous new form immediately, taking the role of the beast with uncanny ease. Eating rocks and using feral methods of attacks against her opponent really sold it! Steric’s is more of a slow build, but that makes it all the more fascinating to watch. A man slowly driven mad by his own desires is a classic trope for a reason, and by the time he stops seeing Lucil as human, (did he ever see her that way?), he reveals the sadistic, cold monster within. For Steric’s part, I’m giving his Jojolity an 8! Given Lucil’s unending dedication to the bit from start to finish, I’m going to give her Jojolity a 9! Well done, you two!

  7. To Lead into Gore With Roadkill’s delib, I’m going to leave one of my shorthand notes unedited: Naked Strat Returns, Rocks Look On In Agony. Be glad I don’t have to give context for any of the other ones, like 1.21 assbeatings.

  9. I respect and admire the dedication- both to your character and the objective at hand- to display the monster you’ve become (snaps fingers: so close to that one three days’ grace song!). From the word go, you are here to glove that hand, and kill the opponent who saw your totally fine left hand.

  11. You are a beast, killing and maiming with little on your mind, little but the hunt, the end, the brutal, bitter end.

  13. Moving on to Perseus Investigates Noontime Dishes Requiring Old Parmesan, we have the supervillain- or, a more regular villain, as we lack a *bit* of ostentatious presentation, at least until the end, when we go from hunter to saviour…

  15. It’s a slow, growing madness. To believe oneself above another, and slowly build the pillar higher as you consider your opponent more and more deeply to be a beast, to be an unthinking, unfeeling creature, to be culled. It’s not the mindset of a classical villain, in that sense, but of a man who's lost his compassion in the heat of the moment, the man who, on his knees over the corpse of his adversary, will either lose himself totally to madness, reveling in what he’s done, or be sickened by it.

  17. What will you do, hunter? Take it home and use what’s left of the beast, or leave it here to rot, as a decaying monument to all of your sins?

  19. With all of that said, I feel comfortable giving The Caravan a **9** to The Hunter’s **8**.

  23. I was very excited about this Jojolity, and you both did amazingly!

  25. For our Hunter, you lay out a clear thesis right at the start. As a hunter, you must be a beacon that guides allies and eradicates dark forces. To this end, you will modify your playstyle as such. I admire that in a jojolity, and it shows strong integration. You continue to use your specific abilities to play into the specific ways that Steric is a monster–a Hunter who prides himself on doing what is good and destroying what is evil, a Saviour of a City in decay. It is the sort of desperate pride that so many of our bosses have shared, and it is great to see Steric truly embody it. He uses his tools and abilities as a true Hunter would, stalking his prey and destroying them, all while considering it a ‘cleansing’ of their rot. Great work!

  27. As for our Caravan, you take that desperation and aggression and truly become a Beast. Like the Hunter, you really act this out through your fighting style, playing into these bestial tendencies through grabbing and biting your opponent. You also exert an oppressive force through the arena by cultivating your Hunting Ground, and really play into your hyper-enhanced strength and speed to become a terrifying presence. Like the Hunter, I also really liked the way that you built off of the notes from the writeup, exploring the Caravan’s relation to her fellows at the museum, and this sense of alienation from the human that the Rakshasa was preying upon. It is always a delight when players build off of what they’re provided; I loved doing it as a player, I love seeing it now.

  29. I would also like to give a special shoutout to the mirrored beginnings and endings of these strats. At the start, both of the monsters destroy the things that symbolized their connection to the human world, and at the end, both of them are driven to a simultaneous act of terror, dismembering the other and claiming it as a trophy. One seeks to save, one seeks to protect herself, but in the end, their harms are the same. Great work! A high 8 for both of you!
