  1. Like most gartagen Political functions, there was alot of bluster and show. Scantly clad servants moved about the room serving the dignitaries drinks and food. The obsidion floors clacked with the sound of boots as the attendees walked and socialized. The formalities of the summons hady et to begin. The room it self was a large circular room, with three sets of doors. Two leading in to it were massive double doors cut from black stone. A smaller similar pair of doors sat tucked off in the back of the circular room. In the senter of the room was a massive podium/stage for speakers to stand.
  2. Towering over it was a pyrimidal stair case that let up to a platform. Atop the platform were three sets of large throans. In the center throan helt Vishta's small form.
  3. She sat with her legs crossed, her head adorned with decorative jewelry befitting her station, her garments were fine, and intricate, but left much of her skin bare for eyes to see. She sat looking down on the proceedings plotting her next move.
  4. It was at this point the Gartagen Woman who scheduled this meeting stepped up to the speaker's stage and began trying to get the attention of the attending crowed of officials and representatives. It was middle aged female Gartagen woman. Her green skin, and long flowing hair gave her a comely appeal as a mate. Her thin wiry frame and soft facial features were highlighted by various tattoos on her bare hips and shoulders, as well as the facial make up she wore. It was Vitnas, the head of civil affairs.
  5. "Alright, with the blessing of Empress Vishta, I would like to get this hearing started so that we may all weigh in, and get this brought to a vote." She stated loudly, her voice reverberating through out the room so that all could hear her.
  6. Vishta nodded, granting her blessing.
  7. "I'd like to begin by introducing my self. I am Vitnas A'soongao Viras Liebz. I am the head Advisor of civil affairs in the Shara system. I have called this meeting on the subject of a government ordinance that must be passed for the better ment of our species, and other species in this sector. The Yamatians, as they like to be called are...becoming a common sight for out people. Their pink fleshy skin, soft pretty faces. They walk, breath, talk. But the truth of the matter is they are not what can be catagorized as a life form. They did not evolve, they were created in a test tube. They do not possess a biology, but rather technology. Flesh and blood perhaps. But they are for lack of a better term synthetic. A creation made to mimic life. The bill I propose would limit the rights of Synthetic Life forms in the Union to having the rights of...other synthetic creations."
  8. The woman then paused to the noise of rumblings. The attendants were grumbling their agreements and their complaints. Like most gartagen proceedings Vitnas was leaving the door open for a challenger to arise.
  9. "I must respectably object." A voice rose, not of a Gartagen, but of one of the ambassadors. A lilac-hired NH-33 stood, one of Yuumi's subordinates in the Department of Diplomacy working with the SSS. Blue eyes didn't display anger, though she couldn't help but feel as such inside...and worry.
  10. Vishta Perked up in her chair at the objection. "Please, state your objection Ambassador." She said calmly. Vishta felt a sense of releif that somebody had issued challenge. She did not wish to openly crush the Head Advisor, not yet at least.
  11. "It is true that the Nekovalkryja did not evolve, but were created...but it should not be assumed that because of that, we are not a form of life equal to other races. We proved that when we became a power in space....but it's deeper than just that. Many among the Yamataian, Minkan, and Nekovalkryja races were not created in a vat or a tube, but were born as organic beings of other races. Many transferred themselves in the face of injury and plague, or the chance of better health and life. They lost nothing of their minds, personalities, or feelings in the change. Are they less deserving of respect and rights? Are those born today who are just as feeling and thinking as their parents also not entitled to the same respect?"
  12. "You, as you travel space, will encounter beings which challenge your thinking, your preconceptions. This is merely the first step...will you refuse to recognize your neighbors because they are different? Or will you allow your world-view to grow along with the scope of your interactions with your neighboring races? Clearly, there is not only a risk for those of my race you interact with if this passes, it is a risk of a precedent which could prove limiting and dangerous. This defines a way of thought and your degree of flexibility as you encounter the unexpected in your growth and travel through space."
  13. "To call you a race is clearly giving credit where it is not due. The Nekovalkryja did not fight their way to the top of the food chain as my people did. They did
