  1. BTC's Match 2
  2.
  3. Massive TL:DRed version. I had a much longer iteration typed up, but that became practically the length of a full response. I am going to go over the basic points as to who I think wins.

  5. Alright, to get things out of the way, I think Cleverly wins. While I think both debaters had their ups and downs, Cleverly certainly made more right moves and less errors than his opponent. To expand upon, I think his first response highly illustrates the 'right' way to approach debates. He establishes stats, not just in a vacuum but relative to his opponent while then disassembling his opponent's claim. Granted, there were plenty of mistakes made. Some of which is minor like a rebuttal being placed before his own claims and then rebuttals following after that. Others which are major like using strength discrepancy to justify speed stat scaling which really was a 'wat'.
  6.
  7. FJ on the hand was decidedly good at collapsing on some of Cleverly's mistakes. Pointing out the reasoning as to why his speed scaling was based only on a gut feeling essentially was a good move on his part as it helped discredit Clev's attack on his own scaling,
  8. but there was overall plenty more mistakes made in FJ's part. Not reading your opponent's points is a BAD move to do in debate as it greatly increases the odds of something absolutely vital missing your point. That said, one HUGE mistake I've caught in addition with FJ's argumentation tended to be his equating of "blocking X speed means you are X speed". This is patently wrong in most situations and greatly injures one of the largest causes for his win condition which is Doppo being faster.
  9.
  10. As Clev had established his own offense was better (Kuroki was cutting steel versus wood), his foresight being more ironclad than Doppo's (bring it up that Doppo had innate familiarity when he used his foresight like ability and he doesn't use it often), his durability being better and the idea that Baki humans might be slower overall, I give the win to him.
