  1. uncannySuicide [US] began espering turnstileGadabout [TG]
  2.
  3. [US] so
  4. [US] that was
  5. [US] the most intense
  6. [US] pillow fight
  7. [US] in the history of mankind
  8. [TG] You know I thought I would have had the advantage.
  9. [TG] Being the one who brought a knife to a pillow fight.
  10. [TG] But maaaannnnnnnnn
  11. [TG] I got
  12. [TG] beat
  13. [TG] up.
  14. [US] so hey
  15. [US] i dropped that punch designix.
  16. [US] and i have a cool new scythe.
  17. [US] so i guess it's time to start building up to the portal thingy?
  18. [TG] Is that what that new machine is?
  19. [US] yeah
  20. [TG] If you say so boss let's start building up.
  21. [US] you can use the captcha codes on the back of your cards
  22. [US] like i said.
  23. [US] let's see how much grist you have…
  24. [US] I'll be making it from the roof platform i made.
  25. [TG] Huh ok.
  26.
  27. Alex begins adding some support to the roof platform she already made, before making thin stairs that lead up from the platform she had made. Sage feels her house shake a bit from the new addition. Next, she puts another support for the stairs. Trying to be conservative but provide platforms for Sage to stand on. It would still be not really ideal for living space or combat, really. Maybe later she can fill in the rooms.
  28.
  29. [TG] Hmmmm I want to go see what you're doing.
  30. [TG] But I want to keep in contact with you.
  31. [TG] I'm going to go try and find my old cell phone.
  32. [US] alright
  33.
  34. You now have 83 build grist left. Sage rustles around in the boxes in her room, looking for the cell phone she ditched when she moved to this old orchard.
  35.
  36. [US] hm
  37. [US] we have a lot of grist.
  38. [US] i wonder if i can get you up there quickly.
  39.
  40. [DM] Roll d20 {17}
  41.
  42. After a short while, you finally locate your old phone at the bottom of the box.
  43.
  44. [TG] Have you reached the portal yet?
  45. [US] nah
  46. [US] still a ways to go
  47. [US] i'm thinking of making these a bit... better.
  48.
  49. It looks like you would need at least ten more of those platform/staircase combos to get the rest of the way.
  50.
  51. [US] how much did i even spend?
  52.
  53. Sage finds the phone turned off. She turns on the device and is met with 332 unread text messages. Apparently her friends from the city were messaging her a lot... Sage ignores them and heads up the stairs to the roof platform. She finds Alex's chumhandle and starts text messaging her. Alex continues to make another platform staircase combo, with supports of course… But yeah this is taking a while. You spent precisely 20 build grist on the stairs and support. There is now 63 build grist left.
  54.
  55. [US] i think we're going to run out before long. think you could go hunting for more grist?
  56. [TG] Yeah I can.
  57. [US] hey
  58. [US] should i spend it all?
  59. [US] or do you want some for items
  60. [US] i'm maybe a quarter of the way there
  61. [TG] Actually could you hold off on building that then?
  62. [TG] I can go find more imp guys to kill first.
  63. [US] yeah. i guess.
  64. [US] if any of them are around here
  65. [US] i can drop shit on them maybe
  66. [TG] I remember hearing some downstairs.
  67. [TG] Try checking it out.
  68.
  69. Alex begins searching the house for these little rascals. Sage intends on heading downstairs, but before she does puts on the protective roller-skating gear she found earlier. She doesn't want to get taken out like last time. One armored, she heads downstairs. Alex finally finds the imps down in the basement. There are three of them, a rat, a wolf, and a cruxite fish. The rat and wolf are sitting inside a box. Alex looks for something heavy. A sofa perhaps. So she can drop them on the box sitting imps. US finds a sofa in the living room upstairs. Sage walks over to the basement door, and carefully opens it, trying to sneak in.
  70.
  71. [US] I'm trying to find something heavy. but your basement is kind of separated from your living room.
  72. [TG] Try looking in the basement?
  73.
  74. [DM] Roll d20+2 {9}
  75.
  76. The cruxite fish immediately notices you as you make your way in, turning around and drawing the attention of the other two imps immediately. Alex specifically looks in the basement for something. Sage makes a dive towards the weird pink fish one with her knife. She aims for its back.
  77.
  78. (roll for initiative)
  79. [DM] Roll 2#d20-1 {12} {4}
  80. [DM] Roll d20+1 {19}
  81. [TG] roll d20+2 {18}
  82. [DM] rat, sage, fish, wolf, alex
  83.
  84. [DM] Roll d20+1 {18}
  85. [DM] Roll d4+1 {2}
  86. The rat imp springs out of the box, slashing meanly at your face.
  87.
  88. [TG] roll d20+2 {16}
  89. [TG] Sage completes her attack at the fish imp.
  90. [DM] Roll d4+2 {3}
  91. You hit the imp, knocking a chink out of its hard skin.
  92.
  93. [DM] Roll d20-1 {16}
  94. [DM] Roll d4-1 {3}
  95.
  96. [US] oh yeah
  97. [US] did you put something else into your orby thing?
  98.
  99. The imp slashes you across your chest. TG is a bit busy and likely will not be able to look at her phone.
  100.
  101. [DM] Roll d20-1 {16}
  102. [DM] Roll d4-1 {1}
  103. The wolf imp nips at you from the side, catching the side of your hand in its teeth.
  104.
  105. [DM] Roll d20 {17}
  106. Alex finally locates an old easy chair in the back of the basement. Alex lifts the chair with her cursor and attempts to fling it at the Wolf imp. Easssy... Eeeeaaaassyyy.
  107.
  108. [US] fling!
  109.
  110. [DM] Roll d20 {14}
  111. [DM] Roll d10 {4}
  112. US knocks the wolf imp flat on its face.
  113.
  114. [US] bullseye!
  115.
  116. [DM] Roll d20+1 {17}
  117. [DM] Roll d4+1 {2}
  118. The rat imp jumps up again, biting down on Sage's arm.
  119.
  120. [TG] roll d20+2 {20}
  121. [Sage strikes the fish imp again.
  122. [DM] Roll d4+2 {4}
  123. The fish imp sings angilly at her as she knocks a piece of its fin off its face.
  124.
  125. [DM] Roll d20-1 {15}
  126. [DM] Roll d4-1 {3}
  127. The fish strikes back, scratching at your legs.
  128.
  129. [DM] Roll d20-1 {1}
  130. The wolf imp crawls back into the box
  131.
  132. Alex positions the easy chair above the wolf in the box and drops it.
  133. [DM] Roll d20 {1}
  134. Alex lifts the chair too high and there's a crash as it is forced up through the floor above. The chair is now stuck sticking up half way into the living room and you can no longer use it.
  135.
  136. [US] whoops.
  137. [US] your chair may or may not be now mated with the ceiling
  138.
  139. Sage gapes at the chair. Geez Alex seemed pretty good at the controls before. The rat imp looks up at it as well before just lunging for Sage's legs
  140. [DM] Roll d20+1 {14}
  141. [DM] Roll d4+1 {2}
  142. It bites a hole right through the leg of her pants.
  143.
  144. [US] Alex is totally good at controls and shit.
  145. [TG] Sage knifes the rat imp when it bites her.
  146.
  147. roll d20+2 {4}
  148. The rat imp easily dodges the blow, half laughing at you
  149.
  150. [DM] Roll d20-1 {10}
  151. The fish imp swipes at you, but only hits one of your elbow pads instead.
  152.
  153. [DM] Roll d20-1 {6}
  154. The wolf imp stays inside the box.
  155.
  156. [US] look out below
  157.
  158. Alex tries to lift the sofa from the living room to drop it on the chair.
  159.
  160. [DM] Roll d20 {5}
  161. The Couch half lands on the chair, but it doesn't budge.
  162.
  163. [DM] Roll d20+2 {6}
  164. The rat imp lunges at Sage but ends up just flying between her legs and missing her entirely.
  165.
  166. Sage ignores the ineffectual rat thing and tries to jam her knife into the fish imp's eye.
  167. [TG] roll d20+2 {3}
  168. [DM] Roll d4+2 {4}
  169. Instead of hitting the imp, you miss entirely and the force of your swing brings the knife right down into your own knee.
  170.
  171. [DM] Roll d20-1 {14}
  172. [DM] Roll d4-1 {0}
  173. The fish imp looks at you before lightly slapping you in the face.
  174.
  175. [DM] Roll d20-1 {17}
  176. [DM] Roll d4-1 {3}
  177. All of a sudden, the wolf imp lunges out of the box at you, biting your uninjured arm and shaking his head.
  178.
  179. [DM] Roll d20+1 {19}
  180. [DM] Roll d4+1 {4}
  181. The rat imp jumps on your back to bite your shoulder. You are simply covered in imps. The fish imp is simply watching as you are mangled.
  182.
  183. Alex attempts to drop the sofa on the chair once more. Then, once its free. Maybe then she can beat the shit out of something.
  184. [DM] Roll d20 {6}
  185. The chair doesn't even wiggle.
  186.
  187. Sage can barely move with the two creatures on her. She screams in pain and shouts out "HELP" hoping Alex will do something.
  188. {7}
  189. The fish imp just stands there and watches as the three of you struggle. Suddenly, there is a flash and Scythesprite is in the room, looking pretty useless still but at least being there.
  190.
  191. [DM] Roll d20-1 {11}
  192. The wolf imp finally drops off of Sage's back, growling.
  193.
  194. Alex gives up on the whole chair and Sofa business. This clearly isn't working. When she looks at the basement next, Sage is getting her arse kicked. She sighs with frustration and looks for something to poke the fish imp with. Maybe a pole or something she can bash it with.
  195. [DM] Roll d20 {6}
  196. You do not see anything particularly good for poking, just a bunch of boxes and some old furniture. Plus a particularly fancy santa at the back and some old McDonalds toys. With rage and fury. She hurls the Santa at the fish person.
  197. [DM] Roll d20 {10}
  198. [DM] Roll d4 {3}
  199. The santa hits the fish imp in the face, sending it spinning in place.
  200.
  201. [DM] Roll d20+1 {5}
  202. The rat imp falls off Sage's arm, having been finally shaken loose.
  203. [TG] Sage backs up to the staircase leading out of the basement. She doesn't want to be cornered again.
  204. [TG] Sage stabs at the pink fish imp.
  205.
  206. PAUSE FOR AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR SPONSORS
  207. [KE]<WAIT>
  208. [KE]<FANCY SANTAS ALWAYS DEAL ONLY 1 DAMAGE UPON HIT>
  209. [KE]<Just for future reference :P>

  212.
  213. [TG] roll d20+2 {10}
  214.
  215.
  216. [DM] Roll d4+2 {4}
  217. You stab the fish imp directly in the top of its head, knocking another chunk out of it.
  218.
  219. [DM] Roll d20-1 {9}
  220. The fish imp slaps at you ineffectively.
  221.
  222. [DM] Roll d20-1 {6}
  223. The wolf imp lunges, but misses entirely and topples a pile of empty boxes beside you.
  224.
  225. [DM] Roll d20+1 {13}
  226. [DM] Roll d4+1 {2}
  227. The rat imp snaps at you, biting at your leg.
  228.
  229. Sage strikes back at the rat imp.
  230. [TG] roll d20+2 {11}
  231.
  232. Alex next decides to throw something for sizable. Hey! Old furniture! She tries to pick off the Fish Imp with a bop of a cabinet on its head. Without dropping it.
  233. [DM] Roll d20 {14}
  234. [DM] Roll d4 {1}
  235. You lightly tap the fish imp on the head, causing it to duck down and cover itself. Alex bops it over the head once more! DIE WRETCHED GRIST PIÑATA!
  236. [DM] Roll d20 {18}
  237. [DM] Roll d4 {2}
  238. You hit the imp again! This time, it pops into 18 pieces of build grist.
  239.
  240. [US] first blood!
  241. [US] kinda
  242. [US] stop bleeding
  243. [US] you're making us look bad.
  244.
  245. Sage can't take much more of this. She absconds, running up the stairway and locking the door behind her. The imps run after you, smacking against the door. Sage quickly stacks some boxes up against the door, just in case they get out.
