  1. Switching formats a bit. I find I am not diligent with journal writing and most of it is just meaningless anyways so I am switching to a summery format.
  2.
  3. Life really takes some unexpected turns, when the Royal city fell it wasn’t truly years of quiet oppression that drove them to riot and throw off the yoke of their masters. It was a horrible disease that was disproportionately affecting the poor and weak leading to rumors that the nobles had walled themselves off with a cure.
  4.
  5. It wasn’t true of course but that didn’t stop the city from tearing itself apart.
  6.
  7. Unfortunately My companions and I found ourselves amidst the turmoil along with 4 other magicians who were accompanying me to help study the plague. Sadly the revolution had put an end to our efforts since some people blamed mages for the plague because… magic.
  8.
  9. So abusing the hell out of Illusions, Bardic charming song and other abilities I lead my friends out of the hellish riots that the city had broken out in.
  10.
  11. It broke my heart that I was unable to help these people but sadly I knew trying would only cause more fights and lead to bloodshed.
  12.
  13. From what we were able to gather this was a horrifying plague, not only was it immune to magical cures but it also prevented the poor victims from being raised by magical means.
  14.
  15. In the end we were really out of our depths but our research had turned up a name of someone who might help. Dian Kato, the cure master. A brilliant Healer who long ago had retreated from civilization for whatever reason and currently was living as a hermit somewhere in the Sogen.
  16.
  17. As we traveled through the Sogen we encountered bandits, monsters and beasts of all stripes; We even stumbled upon the fabled city of the amazons and were taken captive for a bit. Thankfully I was able to convince them we meant no harm by bringing men in to their lands.
  18.
  19. Dian Kato turned out to be very good at hiding out. It took us a lot longer to find the cure master than it should have; apparently she used powerful magics to hide herself.
  20.
  21. We finally managed to find her then convince her to help us find a cure. This was simple we just needed fresh blood from someone with the plague. We found a small port town on the edge of the legendary ocean and brought the sample back to her.
  22.
  23. While we were in town however we heard rumor that someone had found a piece of Exodia. People were excited because they believed a great god like that could cure the plague.
  24.
  25. Hearing that I knew we were running out of time.
  26.
  27. Examining the sample I must admit Dian’s knowledge of medicine was impressive. It took her a few days but she supplied us with a list of ingredients she needed for her cure. Unfortunately this cure included parts of the most dangerous beasts in the land.
  28.
  29. So we traveled all throughout the land dodging overpowered bandits flush with magical loot and the standard monsters who were just more irritable with their societies falling apart. It seems the revolution had grown and all societies were breaking down now.
  30.
  31. The worst thing we had to do was get a scale from the red eyes darkness dragon, we went in to the heart of the Red eyes territory and the damned old wyrm demanded me in trade. So that led to an all out war because my wives did not take kindly to it and the red eyes black dragons took his side. These disputes lead to a brutal battle with dozens of powerful dragons. While we got the scale we made a bunch of enemies.
  32.
  33. We got the scale and ran being chased by several of the offended dragons.
  34.
  35. We also tears from the a pure born blue eyes white dragon. So we got to meet the sisters. They challenged me that they would only give me the tears if I could make them cry.
  36.
  37. I am a Bard.
  38.
  39. I poured my heart and soul in to a song of loss and loneliness forged from my long travels by the end all 3 were sobbing. The agreed that I had won and I was given the tears and their blessing.
  40.
  41. By about that time we heard that 2 more pieces of Exodia had been recovered. Not by the same people apparently there was a small war going on for possession of the pieces but it wouldn’t be long before a warlord strong enough to claim them all arose.
  42.
  43. We took the ingredients back to Dian who brewed them up. I had to send my companions off with the cure to begin distributing it. I needed to get to the necrovalley.
  44.
  45. I made it to the land of the dead. Thankfully It wasn’t tough to find a tomb of the gravekeepers. As I flew overheard I saw a small army gathered at one.
  46.
  47. I fought my way through the attackers and gravekeepers careful as I could not to harm anyone too badly. At the end both sides were defeated before me.
  48.
  49. I explained to the head of the gravekeepers that I wasn’t trying to unite the exodia pieces but prevent it. Strangely enough he believed me and decided I was likely more suited to it since I had defeated not only them but their attackers. So I was awarded Exodia’s head.
  50.
  51. Exodia was not really thrilled by this. He was conscious and fluctuated between bored and annoyed really. He either wished to be freed or left alone. I tried to place him in the world inside my soul… yeah Infernal Exalted powers are strange. What’s even stranger is that it didn’t work. He wouldn’t go. So I stuffed him in a backpack (A really, really big one) and threw him over my shoulders. He was not pleased at all by this.
  52.
  53. Lets just say Exodia can be quite colorful with his language when he wants
  54.
  55. Unfortunately by the time I found my companions, the warlord I had been fearing the rise of found me.
  56.
  57. Dark Lord Ha Des himself with a small army of Archfiends surrounded the town we were in and offered a trade of our lives and the lives of the town for Exodia.
  58.
  59. Well since both were a lose lose proposition I in turn offered him a one on one battle for all the pieces. He agreed strangely
  60.
  61. So we battled, I was kind of hindered because I was wearing a backpack with an actively struggling head that was cursing me all through the battle.
  62.
  63. Of course it might have been because I inadvertently used him as a shield a few times… that probably did little to help his mood.
  64.
  65. Ha Des was incredibly powerful his Infernal powers could have easily anhilited a good size town in a single strike but I had holy powers and toughness that were strong enough to protect me and I was able to batter down his neigh invulnerability to magic with dark magic attacks.
  66.
  67. As we battled his troops tried to snatch my companions to use as hostages. This erupted in to a small war. We emerged victorious but Ha des fled and by that time an army of red eyes black dragons was visible in the distance so we fled, that’s pretty much how we spend the rest of my time here running like hell and being insulted by Exodia who hates my guts.
  68.
  69. I am beginning to think I may not be the most heroic of jumpers, I spend most of my jumps running for my life from virtually every major power in the world.
