Story

The year is 21XX

While humans lived in safe underground cities, the work of "Repliroids", restoring the surface, proceeded smoothly. However, on the other hand, criminal Repliroids named "Irregulars", are rapidly increasing.

X, a Repliroid with high performance worked as the commander of an elite unit of the official organization that regulates the Irregulars, the "Irregular Hunters", feels doubts at quelling the foes by the use of force, and, seeking a way to peacefully solve the issue, he retires from the frontlines. The Irregular Hunters are weakened by his retirement, and, in their place, an illegal group of vigilantes, "Red Alert", began their activities.

One day... The Irregular Hunter Zero, who rushed to the scene of an incident, meets Axl, a young Repliroid chased by a huge Mechaniloid. He says that he ran away from Red Alert to become an Irregular Hunter, but doesn't go into details.

The leader of Red Alert, Red, appears. Demands that they hand Axl over to him. Zero, however, refuses saying that he'll never tolerate for anyone to ignore his (Axl's) own will and steal his freedom.

And thus the battle between the Irregular Hunters and Red Alert over one Repliroid and the meaning of "justice" begins!
