  1. AGDQ 2017
  2.
  3. It goes without saying that AGDQ 2017 was definitely a blast. Getting to meet friends old and new is so much fun. I'll divide my writeup into 3 parts (pre run, run, post run)
  4.
  5. Pre run
  6.
  7. Obviously as soon as I got to the hotel I wanted to do a co-op run but at the same time I didn't want to ask Slurpee to just drop everything he was doing and focus on the run. Up until our first attempt I was worried that we would still have a lot of mistakes to clean up but given that we beat our PB by 11 min I really didn't have much to worry about. Ironically we actually only did 2 runs and about an hour of IL practice. Most of my time (before and after our run) was spent socializing with other people and playing Initial D.

  9. Speaking of Initial D, shoutout to Authorblues, Sirstentec, Lordmau5, and Fizzle for setting up the Initial D tournament. I haven't had that much fun playing Initial D since 2006 with Ver 3. On a competitive level I was kinda annoyed that we had to play with boost on but we still had some great races. I'm pretty willing to go to another GDQ just to experience another one of these tournaments again.

  12. Interview and Run
  13.
  14. Anyway after the tournament (and some rest) we had our interview about our run. It really helped that there wasn't an audience in person watching us so it just felt like it was me, Slurpeeninja, and Feasel talking about Trauma Center and how it's played. As for the run, initially I was kind of annoyed the crowd kept yelling "BAD" whenever I finished bandaging a patient but I eventually went along with it since they were having fun with it. I also should have included notes for when it would have been a good time for donations. It would have reduced dead air and allowed for more donations to have been read. I'm really glad everyone liked it though.

  16. Postrun
  17.
  18. Things died down pretty quickly after the run. Me and Slurpee did another run since both of us knew we could do much better and of course we got a sub 1:30 with a 1:28:30. I started to feel sick Friday so after we PB'd I really wanted to go home haha. My biggest regret for this GDQ was not bringing any multiplayer games. I was so worried about our run I forgot about the social aspect of GDQ. Honestly the best part about GDQ for me was just getting to sit down with people and talk about videogames, Nintendo Switch, memes, whatever. I'm not sure about attending for a full week again at the risk of getting sick again but I'm definitely looking forward to the next time I attend a GDQ.

  20. Future plans
  21.
  22. I'll likely continue streaming New Blood for awhile. I'm thinking about streaming some casual Trauma Team or doing Zone of the Enders. I'm also thinking of Time Crisis as well but unsure. I have nothing planned for SGDQ but who knows what will happen in the next couple months.
  23.
  24. Shoutouts
  25.
  26. Slurpeeninja: Thanks so much for running this with me for submission at SGDQ and again at AGDQ. And again, thank you for raising money for me at Slurpathon to help fly me out and stay with you guys.
  27.
  28. SZSK: I feel like a broken record mentioning SZSK over and over again but he's contributed so much to each of the Trauma Center games. Without him, I likely would have given up a long time ago.
  29.
  30. NME, Twogood, Fastacc: Thanks a lot for letting me bum a room with you guys. It was fun!
  31.
  32. Altabiscuit, Skybilz, Darkterrex: Thanks for couching and the commentary. Sorry I didn't have notes for you guys earlier so it was easier.
  33.
  34. And for anyone else I missed thanks for your support!
