- Outline:
- Title: My Best Friend
- Topic Sentence: My best friend, Freddie, has three important qualities.
- 1 fun to be with
- a frisbee
- b sit in my room
- 2 trustworthy
- a he doesn’t share my secrets
- 3 understanding
- a he helps me relax when I’m tense
- b comfort when I’m sad
- c happy when I’m happy
- Conclusion: To sum up, my best friend is fun to be with, trustworthy, and understanding--even if he is just a dog.
- Mind Map: (example was on the smartboard - write your main idea in the center, and then write supporting ideas around it, and examples around each supporting idea. Then choose which are the most important and decide what order you will use.)
