- Rosalind's Notes: The Queen's Cup and my subsequent...tests of it, has given me some ideas. After some magitechnical analysis, I have determined the kind of magic it relies upon. Similar to the waves of the sea, brains release 'thought waves'. Normally they'd be undetectable to the average sapient, the loudness of their own mind rendering the subtle notes of other people's minds. But the Cup renders the user open to these thoughts by suppressing one's own will, silencing their internal noise and thus allowing telepathy to occur. However, by leaving one so open, it also exposes the user to being controlled. This is a terrible design flaw, and I question exactly what the creature who created this thing was thinking. Or what they were drinking, at least.
- This secondary effect, however, is interesting. Suppressing the will, and allowing instructions to filter straight into the brain can create a direct mind controlling field. Rather than fiddle about with aphrodisiacs and the like, we can get a target to obey every possible instruction. Then we don't need their lust. We can just have their complete compliance. Something I think the slave pens will enjoy. As well as those concerned with defence.
- Replicating the kind of magic in the cup proved moderately more difficult than my enormous ego would generally allow for. Although experiments with the Kadmosi power source has allowed me to delve into other kinds of thaumaturgic technology, my experience is still quite limited. It's taken me a while, but I finally got a break when I compared my readings from the Black Root to the magic output by the cup. Lo and behold, commonality. It appears the crafter of this cup was in some way divine. Probably not the Earthmother. Potentially one of the Others she spoke of. Either way, it allowed me to bring in some of my work on deity pacification.
- If anyone asks, my apparatus for ensnaring the power of a god is purely for defensive purposes.
- The device I ended up with is rather unwieldy. An ironwood parabolic dish connected to a backpack that weighs about as much as myself, discretely powered by a dozen wisps on a cum-drip. Still, I have constructed a device that sends the will-suppression effect over a distance of over two hundred metres, while simultaneously carrying instructions from my mind to theirs. A mind-control gun, if I may be so bold. How fucking great is that?
- I have performed some tests around the city, disguising my actions as some harmless weather readings. Small, superficial instructions seem to be obeyed without much trouble. More intrusive tasks, such has telling them to masturbate while they shop for goods, are met with some resistance. Increase in magical output overwhelms them eventually, though not as fast as I would hope. The people of this city are dumb, but stubborn. I'll put more research into power efficiency and output ratio. Still, I feel we'll have a very viable technology path here.
- I didn't feel Bellis needed to know about this particular line of inquiry. I did raise the issue last time I saw her, but her mouth was too full of my pussy for her to respond coherently.
