Maybe lets find a new job. Just maybe

Alexithymiaa: -Steph laid on the couch, her head resting on Nugget's butt with Penny curled into her chest. Her few scrapes from falling were almost healed already, but her knee was still insanely swollen which the doctor had already confirmed it wouldnt get much better without the surgery at this point and gave her more oxy since she's a moron. She squeezed her eyes closed and sucked in a deep breath, the pain meds fully worn off at this point and she just wanted to die a little.-
Covet: Felix had gotten home from work at the Library. He'd spent most of the evening studyin for finals, as was everyone else that was there. He slung his bag off of his shoulder and dropped it next to the couch as leaned over to give Steph a kiss on her head before sitting down, "Ah, shit.. I should have asked if you needed anything before I did that."
Alexithymiaa: -She opened her eyes when she heard him come in, shifting a little because Penny bound off the couch to run to him and greet him since she does that and she loves him. "It's... fine. I'm fine. How was work?" She asked, trying to gently resituate herself without the added dog to lean on.-
Covet: "Somehow busy and slow at the same time. You hard up for your meds yet? It's been over six hours since I was here last." He told her looking her over, then went to glance at her knee. It looked awful, but he knew saying that was only going to make her feel worse about it.
Alexithymiaa: "I don't know. Is it time yet?" She asked with a little bit of a wince since she would never actually ask for them considering what it was. She moved her hand up toward her face, giving Nugget's back a little scratch with her nails. "Everyone has kept me in good company."-
Covet: "You're an hour over being due, so if you want it yeah. Or you can push it off until closer to bedtime." He told her watching closer. "That's good, keeping out of your way when you need to move? Though I hope you haven't been doing much of that."
Alexithymiaa: "If it's time." She said as casually as she could manage. "I only got up to pee. Other than that I've watched a lot of Scrubs, and I took a call from the label while lying in this spot. And also brainstormed more of my photography final."-
Covet: Felix nodded his head and went into the office to go get where he stashed them at, because he couldn't exactly have them on himself with her name on them. pulling them out of the spot he made his way into the kitchen to get her a bottle of water, and then came back handing it over to her." There you are Red, I'm glad you're still being productive while you're laid up. I know you hate lazy downtime."
Alexithymiaa: -She reached her hands out to take the pills and the water from him, sitting up a little to take a few sips from the water before taking out a couple of pills from the bottle. Tossing them into her mouth, she took another sip of water to wash them down before handing the bottle back to him. "Thank you. And you know there's no way I could sit here all day and do absolutely nothhing. I did have a long talk with the label about this though..."-
Covet: "Oh yeah?" He asked her sitting back down, moving Nugget so that Steph could rest her head in his lap. and he could still pet the sleeping pup.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeahhhhhh..." She trailed off, feeling the beginning of the meds kicking in and finding some relief. "At first they were going kind of hard and pushing for a small promotional tour to start building hype for the album, but I explained the situation to them and how there's no way I'd be able to put on any kind of show any time soon, surgery or not, and thhey understood. They did suggest an acoustic tour though because it would be more acceptable for me to stay seated the entire time."-
Covet: "Hey, if they're being understanding and wanting to work with you like that, that's awesome." Felix said with a smile, "Have you thought about anything in regards to your gym job?"
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, just need to talk over the details and get everything set up. Promotion is pretty important." She moved her hand to push her glasses up her nose, turning to lay on her back so she could look up at him now that she felt a little better since drugs. "I dont really know what there is to think about. They know I'm not coming right now since I'm not physically able to get there, but once I'm all healed up it's not really that big of a deal."-
Covet: "What do you mean it's not really that big of a deal?" Felix asked her lightly.
Alexithymiaa: -She raised her brows, a little confused as to what he was implying. "Like driving an hour to get to the gym and coach isn't bad once I feel better?" She asked.-
Covet: "So you'd continue doing it then?" He asked for clarification. "Are you sure that's really necessary, or smart?"
Alexithymiaa: "Well... I need the money so yeah, it's kind of necessary. And why wouldn't it be smart? It's not like I'm the one doing the gymnastics so there isnt any real danger that I'd hurt myself again. Besides, I think I'm a pretty good coach." She moved her hands to the front of his shirt, toying with the fabric because she was just a tiny bit high from the oxy.-
Covet: "I'm going to be gettng some more photography jobs over the summer, and you wouldn't have to be working at the gym. You could focus souly on school and your music. Once you start this tour, you're going to be away from all that anyways." Felix suggested
Alexithymiaa: "But music isnt a consistent income and I'm definitely not going to ask you to cover all of the expenses regardless of whether or not you have the money. And the tour isnt going to be more than a week long anyway." She started to remember the conversation she had with Rochelle about this, slowly realizing where he was going with this. "Everythings going to be fine, Babe."-
Covet: "And what about wanting to write songs for other artists? Why not really put your nose to the grind stone on that?" He asked her, playing with her hair a bit." Felix asked, trying not to be pushy, but he was frustrated about how she clung to gymnastics so hard, when it was doing nothing for her at this point.
Alexithymiaa: "Because that's not really up to me. And you see how long it takes to actually sell a song. My name isnt really out there at this point to have consistent work with that either. I need some sort of stable income to supplement the things I really want to do until they can take off. Kelsey did say she was going to tell her contacts that I write songs, and she wants to collaborate. I'm just doing the best I can right now."-
Covet: "I know you are. And I just can't help but think about how much better you'd be doing at all of this, if you could focus soley on it. You have so much talent in writing and performing, and no offense but I just see the gymnastics job as the final few threads of everything that's held you back from this dream." Felix told her.
Alexithymiaa: "Whether it has my entire focus or not, I can't force people to notice me. I don't think spending more time on it is going to change anything, especially considering what I'm dividing my time on is completely necessary for survival." She paused, trying desperately not to take offense to his comment despite the fact that it bothered her a little. "It's not holding me back from anything other than foreclosure."-
Covet: "Sure you can. By putting yourself and the band out there at every possible moment. Spending more time on anything is how you get better at it, so don't give me that." Felix told her as he gave her a look. "What if I told you that, by me adding my extra funds from my photography jobs this summer, we could have all of our bills paid, lncluding the house payment, and still have enough left over to go out on a nice date once a month. I'm talking, I'll begrudgingly put on a tie, maybe, or just my suspenders, kind of nice date."
Alexithymiaa: -She narrowed her eyes on his face, giving the front of his shirt a little tug. "I'd say that I still don't want you paying for everything, regardless of whether or not you can afford it. We both live here and at the very least, I should be paying my half of everything. I will allow you to mow the lawn, I will allow you to maintain the pool, but I will not allow you to pay for everything."-
Covet: "What do I need to do, to get you to quit the Gym, and let me be a partner, in this partnership, Red? This is a legit question, and I know you're high right now, but seriously, I'd do anything under the sun to get you stop working there." He told her putting his hand on her cheek softly, totally playing on the fact that she was high.
Alexithymiaa: -She let her eyes dip closed for a split second before looking up at him again. "You are a partner. You do your chores and take care of your half of the expenses. I don't want you to pay for everything. It's important to me to be able to cover my own half. I would quit coaching if I could find a job that was closer to home, making the same money, with flexible hours for music, that I didn't hate. I'm definitely not quitting without another job though.
Covet: "So, if I start looking, and find you something the same, if not better. You'll stop working at the gym?" Felix said, cause that's all he heard.
Alexithymiaa: -She moved her hand to her face to rub at her eye underneath her glasses, nodding her head. "Yes... but keep in mind most jobs aren't very cool with the amount of time I need to ditch for at any given time. I'm not going to stop you from looking, but I don't have high hopes for what you'll be able to find. The job I held before coaching was as a photographer's assistant for my friend Dean. He's the one that lives in New York now that helped me find you that camera. But again, he was a friend so when I had shit going on, it was fine."-
Covet: "Don't you underestimate me, I might already have something in mind." Felix told her that cocky smirk appearing on his lips. "I remember you telling me as much. Don't worry Red, I have complete confidence in my skills."
Alexithymiaa: "It's just a success tactic. Whenever I tell you I have doubts, you go out of your way to surprise me. Works everytime." She said with a grin, reaching her hands up in the air toward his face to very awkwardly stroke his cheeks.-
Covet: "At least you're learning." He said with a smirk, leaning over to give her a kiss. "I blame the pain meds for helpin right now. But it's late. We should get you into bed." He told her then went to get up so he could take her to the bedroom so he could help her get changed and into the bed place.
