>be Anon, having just reinforced the back door in the kitchen. You sigh and stand up, putting away the toolbox under the kitchen sink and washing your hands afterwards.
>As you finish drying your hands, you listen as the National Weather Service comes up through your portable radio, explaining the conditions one should expect throughout the next week or so.
>Tonight was going to be the beginning of a Category 3 hurricane, which has a high probability of increasing to a Category 4 and fluctuating between the two throughout the week.
>Luckily, you and your partner, Chara, have been preparing for the past two weeks for this. Stocked up on food, emergency supplies and tools, ect.
>As you prepare some hot chocolate on the stove, a loud, sudden tearing noise occured, followed by the strain of wood just outside, followed by a muffled 'eep!'
>"You okay, Chara?" You ask loudly, looking over the corner to your bedroom, where Chara is wrapped tightly in several warm blankets.
>She nods shyly as she looks out the window, them back at you.
>"Is… it almost ready, Anon?"
>You nod quickly and go back to finishing the hot chocolate, turning off the weather radio.
>"The tree form the neighbors backyard just got rooted… it destroyed our greenhouse…"
>You sigh and shake your head, pouring the hot chocolate into some decently sized cups. Though the two of you were financially secure even before she moved in with you, repairing that greenhouse would cost a pretty penny.
>But there's no use in worrying about it right now, at least not until the hurricane passes over. With that, you walk over to your bedroom, Chara smiling softly at the sight of you and the hot chocolate.
>You set the cups on the bedside table as she lifts up the blankets, allowing you to crawl in and get comfortable, with her beside you as you shiver comfortably due to the sudden comforting warmth overwhelming you.
>She giggles a little and reaches over for the cups, handing you your as she gives a quick smooch to your cheek.
>"Thank you, Anon." She says softly before taking a sip, and sighing softly, her warm breath visible in the air as she rests herself beside you and smiles.
>You plant a kiss on the side of her head and get comfortable, turning on the laptop that she was using and beginning to load up some pre-downloaded episodes of a show the two of you adore.
>Although the hurricane would rage on and on for the week, the two of you would remain unshaken, weathering out the storm with hot chocolate, blankets and the love the two of you share.
