  111. 　　在《老友记》中扮演罗斯而走红的大卫·休默曾执导过西蒙·佩吉主演的喜剧片《肥仔快跑》，虽然投资成本不高，却也创造了不俗的口碑。而此次与他之前参演或执导的喜剧片不同的是，本片将视角关注到家庭生活的核心部分，是休默执导的首部惊悚片，展现了他对一些敏感、严肃且具有争议性的题材的熟练掌控和拿捏，对于他本人来说也是一次巨大的突破。尽管利用网络欺骗儿童的题材屡见不鲜，但是本片仍然值得期待。

  113. 　　既然涉及到青少年题材，小演员的选择显得尤为重要。休默表示，选择一个年龄相当的演员是关键，他说，“如果让一个快20岁的演员饰演十四五岁的小孩，可能观众会认为很牵强。但是当我们看到丽亚娜·莱伯拉托的那一刻，她正好是14岁，她非常真实，没有任何经验和演技可言。我们一致认为她是饰演安妮的最佳人选，当然她也很有表演方面的天分。”
  114. 　　为了给14岁的莱伯拉托营造一个绝对安全的拍摄氛围，因为有些戏份确实比较尴尬和吓人，休默尽量将汽车旅馆的戏份排到最后进行，等她和大家成为好朋友，彼此建立了信任之后才进行。莱伯拉托说，“虽然电影的拍摄很辛苦，但是我信任导演，每当拍摄停止的时候，我们有说有笑非常开心。在片场，我们就像一家人，完全不紧张。”
