In an alternate universe, Superman is the son of Zod and was raised by a caring couple of Mexican immigrants living in harsh conditions, Batman is a young vampiric doctor, Kirk Langstrom, obsessed with an everlasting search for a cure for his disease and Wonder Woman is Bekka, the widowed queen of the world of Darkside. The three antiheroes unite and create the Justice League, despite wheelchair-bound Lex Luthor and others&#39; protests. They operate often outside of the law and often kill the villains, but the US government tolerates them and works with them to an extent, since the three are willing to cooperate with the authorities and they never kill civilians. However, the all out paranoia and protests against their methods and untouchable position are growing. Things take a turn for the worse, when they are framed for a series of murders of famous scientists, who work for the government, and President Amanda Waller orders their arrest. They decide to violently resist arrest at all cost, until they can find the real culprits themselves.
In an alternate universe, very different versions of DC&#39;s Trinity (Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman), who operate outside of the law, are framed for murders of prominent scientist and the government decides to take them out.
I didn&#39;t know what to think about this movie when it started. I thought it was going to be a lame DC installment. But after finishing it, I thought it was pretty good. And the more dark and violent tone actually adds to this animated flick. The &quot;Justice League: Gods and Monsters&quot; is a movie where everything takes place in an alternate universe. So Superman is now the son of General Zod and Batman is some sort of scientist with vampire like abilities. I didn&#39;t find the overall plot to be all that memorable and it seemed to be all over the place sometimes. But it was still a fun filled superheroes movie, where the perspective of good and evil is in the grey area. I thought the fight sequences was cool once again and the plot was good enough to have my attention from start to finish.<br/><br/>6.5/10
Yeah we get it it&#39;s an Alternate Universe but not my universe where&#39;s Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent and Diana Prince nowhere to be found that&#39;s for sure. They made Batman a Vampire, Superman looks like Zodd and Wonder Woman is chick from Apocalypse pretty much everything about this movie is different and dumb in a way that i can&#39;t explain Darkseid is supposed to be this ruthless awesome big dude and he dies in like 5 seconds with his head explode even Victor Fries A.k.a Mr. Freeze one of Batman&#39;s most underrated villains he has ruined again in this film. Superman thinks that Lois Lane is a b*tch and Batman says that she&#39;s going to send him selfies after that also the great Lex Luthor is actually Stephen Hawking in this movie. This isn&#39;t a film for kids also they gave it a PG-13 but there&#39;s a lot of blood which i&#39;m fine with that but how the heck do you explain a kid that Batman or Kirk is a Vampire that bites necks and Superman has a beard and wears a coat and then Bekka/ Wonder Woman is just i don&#39;t know what she is. In the end God&#39;s and Monsters makes me wish i could go back and rewatch Justice League: Doom, Justice League: War and Justice League: FlashPoint Paradox the animated movies with the Real Justice League and not this. Although i will give them a credit the voices were pretty nice and the only character i actually felt sad about was Tina. Justice League: God&#39;s and Monsters gets an F.
