she's a very nice and gentle person, so when you first meet her she usually greets you with a smile and does her best to seem friendly. she likes to try and make new friends so she's not so lonely and has someone to talk with and it's usually her quirky personality that'll drag people in. she's a bit of a push-over since she feels bad turning people down or going against others and likes to keep people happy. she tries her hardest to hide how she feels on the inside so although it may seem like she's "confiding" in you, she's really avoiding your initial question and distracting you with something small about herself. she is also awkward in a way and it comes off as cute so it goes well for her. she's relatively shy but isn't scared to voice out her opinions-- which is naive of her rather than blunt since she doesn't understand what's so wrong about speaking her mind. she wants to please others and make them not feel so uncomfortable like herself so at time she'll misunderstand situations or act incorrectly that it would land her in trouble. she's mature and compassionate in a way since she was her walls that doesn't let people in to really see how scared, worried, stressed, and tired she is on the inside. she cares more for other before herself but of course like everyone there are times when she's too selfish and once again doesn't realize her mistakes.

she was born in a more prestigious family that had high expectations in her, so very naturally she was forced into studies and getting perfect scores. all was going well, although she felt lots of pressure on her she didn't mind because she had been used to it. somehow there was a big downfall in her parent's company and they had went bankrupt, this had forced her, and her parents to move and find new jobs to support her family. whilst her parents busied themselves by working all day and night, she had to do more things around the house and be the guide to her two younger siblings. when everything had gotten harder with her basically being the parent figure to her brother and sister she had finally take the time to hire someone to watch them for her when she was gone. so although she had the situation with her siblings taken care of, her grades had slowly fallen from a+'s to b+'s which riled up her parents. she was also working after school in a bookstore until she was fired for sleeping on the job. she was 18 and slowly regaining her grades for her last year in high school when her father had lost his job and divorced her mother, which led to more stress in the family and she had the responsibility of her siblings back on her when the hired babysitter quit due to little pay. to add even more onto her plate she had to get a new job at a bar where she met her bad influences that led her to taking drugs and drinking. she barely graduated high school when she left her family due to paranoia that they'd be better without her and that they hated her and was found days later by her own mother who was about to go to work when she found her daughter in the bathroom and pills surrounding her. that was when her mother and younger siblings(who were now older to know) decided it was best to send her to the ward. (lmao i feel like this is too much whoops)

relationship in the beginning to end:
he was her neighbor back when she was with her family when they had moved. they didn't really see each other much since she was very busy, but being the friendly person she is, she was friends with him in a way and they talked every once in a while although they didn't keep in contact of each other. she was often able to leave her younger siblings in his care a few times when she wasn't able to nor the babysitter. so when they meet again it's like old friends seeing each other after a while, although it's still awkward because they aren't really that close either. and since he didn't really know THAT much about her when they were neighbors because they'd only see each other so much, they start getting a bit closer and start becoming good friends when they relate and laugh together. she's naturally more comfortable with him while he was more awkward and timid since that's just how he is but it doesn't take long for the two to be less shy around each other and they're like best friends. they make each other laugh and smile and occasionally sneak in flirting but it's usually just teasing and nothing that big. while she continues to ignore his questions about how she came to be in the ward he's persistent and somehow in the midst of things when they've already gotten closer she slowly lets down her walls and let's him see bits and pieces of her. they start to understand each other more and they have a heart-to-heart moment where they realize-- hey i think i might like you. he starts to really admire her for how strong she is to take care of her family and even helped her realize that she was vulnerable and it wasn't fully her fault that she got into drugs and drinking. near the end they're still joking around and teasing but they've definitely fallen for each other and are a couple by the end. so he's no longer as shy around her and she's all out with him so it's a good relationship. (lmao i don't even know how to explain this, if it doesn't make sense i'll just try to answer any questions you got)
