  9. Chapter 1: A Meteorite Lands In Arizona
  10.
  11. Late one night in December 2012, about 2 days before New Years Eve, a meteorite crashlands just outside the city limits of Pure Town, Arizona. In this town, there lives a world-renowned fisherman named Grant Trout who achieved his greatest fame when he hooked the biggest bass ever fished up anywhere on Earth. After a while, he got tired of being in the spotlight, so he and his wife moved to Pure Town, which is a small town on the outskirts of Tuscon. A few weeks ago, the long-predicted 2012 apocalypse was thwarted by a group of young heroes called the Superkids. Living in Arizona, Grant can still fish in the winter time, as the weather is warm nearly year-round. Grant decides to get in one more fishing trip before the new year sets in. Unbeknownst to him, the road he takes to the nearest lake is the same road the meteorite just landed near.

  13. Chapter 2: Grant And The Meteorite
  14.
  15. As Grant is driving up the road, he sees a mob of scientists on the side of the road. He parks his car and gets out to see what all the fuss is about. Then, he notices the meteorite. He sees this wierd glowing energy in the center. He manages to reach in and touch it, with every last one of the scientists taking notice, and feels a wierd energy. he sees the energy snaking its way up his arm. he begins wishing he had just gone on to the lake. Then, there is a big flash of light, which forces him to close his eyes. A few seconds later, he opens his eyes to find himself at the lake. His car is parked nearby. He notices the glowing energy from the meteorite covering his hands. Seconds later, it vanishes. Grant gets his fishing gear out of his car and walks down to the lake's edge.

  17. Chapter 3: A Pro Golfer Gets Zapped
  18.
  19. At a nearby golf course, Grant's friend Horace Shank is approching the 18th hole after a decent round of golf. Horace tees off and, amazingly, gets a hole-in-one. He decides to check the nearby lake for Grant and brag about his hole-in-one. He pays no attention to the dark clouds in the sky above him. He walks up to the hole and picks up his ball. Then, he holds the "One-Wood" with which he hit the hole-in-one up in triumph. About that time, a bolt of lighting hits the club and Horace is fried and knocked unconscious. Horace's wife, who happens to be one of the scientists who was examining the meteorite, finds out her husband got struck by lightning. She calls an ambulance for her husband, then heads out to the lake to tell Grant what happened.

  21. Chapter 4. Grant Discovers His Powers
  22.
  23. Back out at the lake, Grant hasnt had any luck hooking any big fish. He begins wishing he could pull off another big catch like the one that made him famous. Then, as he grips his fishing rod, the glowing energy appears on his hands and he feels a strong tug on his line. He pulls back and reels in his line and finds he has hooked a bass even bigger than the one that made him famous. Then, he sees a car pull up. He sees one of the scientists from the meteorite site get out of the car, and he realizes she is his friend Horace's wife. She tells him that Horace got struck by lightning right after hitting a hole-in-one on the nearby golf course. The two of them get in their respective cars and head for the hospital. Worried about his friend, Grant wishes his car was faster. His hands glow again and suddenly he's zooming down the road and arrives at the hospital a few seconds later. When he gets out of his car, he realizes its been turned into a sports car. Then it occurs to him that the meteorite energy has given him the power to grant wishes, as his hands glowed everytime he wished for something and then he got what he wished for.

  25. Chapter 5. The Evil Chess Master
  26.
  27. Horace's Wife finds out what room her husband is in. She and Grant reach Horace's room and learn he just went in for surgery. The lightning did a number on him. Before Grant has a chance to wish for his friend to recover successfully, he gets a call from his wife, who is near the meteorite. Grant rushes off to meet up with her. When he reaches the meteorite site, his wife is watching a group of scientists lifting the meteorite with a crane and placing on the trailer of a huge semi-truck to transport it somewhere. Grant tells his wife about the meteorite and the powers it gave him. After he tells her about Horace getting struck by lightning, they head for the hospital to see if Horace's surgery is a success. Meanwhile, the scientists they saw take the meteorite to a remote government facility in nearby New Mexico. The head scientist there, Dr. Rook Phytom, was told by his fellow scientists that a mysterious energy had been observed deep inside the meteorite. When Dr. Rook slices the meteorite in half, there's no trace of the energy that was observed inside it. Dr. Rook, being a Chess master and a bit of a mad scientist, demands that the other scientists (who he sees as his "pawns") tell him what happened to it. They remeber that a local fisherman had approached the meteorite and stuck his hand into a crack on its side. This fisherman must have somehow absorbed the energy from the meteorite. Dr. Rook orders his "pawns" to bring this fisherman to him, and he doesnt care if the fisherman is dead or alive. Dr. Rook gives each scientist a suit of armor that resembles a Chess pawn. he also has 6 other suits of armor (2 bishops, 2 knights, a queen, and a king) and 2 robots shapped like Chess rooks who stand guard outside his science lab, which is called Kingdom Labs.

  29. Chapter 6: Enter The Wisherman
  30.
  31. When Grant gets to the hospital he sees a big hole in the wall. He asks a nurse what happened. He finds out that the Horace's surgery saved his life but left his face and torso horribly disfigured. The lightning bolt also seems to have given Horace super-strength, as he was able to break free from the operating table and bust through the wall. Grant decides to chase after his friend. He realizes he never told Horace about the meteorite or the powers he got from it. Wishing for an invulernable fishing vest that he can wear like armor, Grant decides that Horace will be more likely to listen to him if he becomes a Superhero. Grant and his wife quickly discuss Superhero names and come up with "Wisherman", a combination of his powers and the sport he loves. As Wisherman, Grant tracks Horace down in Tucson and confronts him. He quickly realizes that lightning bolt has made Horace go completely insane. Grant introduces himself to Horace as Wisherman and Horace calls himself Bogey-man (pronounced "Bogey" as in the golf score, not "boogie" as in the way bogeyman is usually pronounced") because one of the doctors at the hospital made a comment that Horace looked like a Bogeyman, and Horace is a pro golfer so he combined the golf term "bogey" (which means one-over-par) with "bogeyman". Wisherman and Bogey-Man pummel each other all around Tucson. eventually Wisherman reveals his secret identity to Bogey-Man and wishes for his friend's appearance and mind to return to normal. Bogey-Man calms down and his deformities re-shape themselves so that Horace's face and torso regain their original appearance. Then, a group of what appear to be Chess pawns appear and attack them. Wisherman and Horace, who still has his super-strength, work together against the pawn-scientists. when the take out the last "pawn" a hologram of a Chess "king" (or a guy dressed like one) appears. The "king" tells them they can call him Dr. Checkmate, and that he has the meteorite. However, its the energy that resided within the meteorite that piques Dr. Checkmate's interest. Dr. Checkmate knows that Wisherman possesses this energy (during the battle with the "pawns", Wisherman's helmet got knocked off and one of the "pawns" recognized him as the fisherman who absorbed the meteorite energy. Dr. Checkmate tells Wisherman he is in his secret science lab, known as Kingdom Labs, which is located in Roswell, New Mexico. he also reveals that two of his "pawns" have kidnapped both his wife and Horace's wife. Dr. Checkmate tells Wisherman to come to his lab if he ever wants to see the 2 ladies again.

  35. Arriving in Roswell, Wisherman and Horace encounter the town's mayor, Mark Ramark. They ask the mayor for directions to Kingdom Labs. The Mayor recognizes Wisherman and asks Wisherman to come to his house for a minute. The mayor introduces his wife, Rosa Ramark, and his son, Tyler Ramark. Mark explains that Tyler is suffering from a deadly illness and asks Wisherman if he can cure him. Wisherman explains his ability to grant wishes, describing himself as a sort-of "human genie", and then wishes the boy was healed. Tyler's illness completely vanishes and he thanks Wisherman. Then, two bulky guys dressed like Chess "knights" burst into the house. Wisherman wishes he had a sword and one appears. Then he wishes for a sword for Horace. Horace realizes that "Bogey-Man" no longer fits him as he isnt disfigured anymore. He decides to start calling himself Hard-Course. Wisherman and Hard-Course begin swordfighting with the two "knights". Mark, Rosa, and Tyler had down into the basement. after the "knights" start to overpower them, Wisherman and Hard-Course head down into the basement too. The two knights pursue them down into the basement. one of them lunges out with his sword. the "knight" would have stabbed Tyler, but Mark jumps in front of him and is impaled by the sword. With his last breath, Mark tells his wife and son to flee. Mark drops dead and everyone flees through an excape tunnel that the Ramarks had built in the basement. The "knights" chase them through the tunnel. when they reach the end of the tunnel, they climb up through an opening and find themselves in the Roswell UFO Mueseum. The "knights" grab Rosa and burst out of the museum, ignoring the front door (which is only locked from the outside), and shattering several glass windows in the process.

  39. Tyler decides to avenge his father and rescue his mother at the same time. He asks Wisherman to give him some specific superpowers. Minutes later Tyler Ramark emerges from the museum as "Delta", a superhero wearing sleek green armor, who has the power to control wind and air. He can also fly and possesses super-speed. Wisherman and Hard-Course emerge from the museum with new arsenols of trick fishing rods/lures, and trick golf clubs/balls that can do all sorts of neat stuff. Delta knows where Kingdom Labs is, and leads Wisherman and Hard-Course right to it. they make quick work of the "rook" guards, and bust in through the front doors. Delta, using his superspeed, makes a quick runaround of the place and notes where everything is. He locates the hostages and the room where Dr. Checkmate has the meteorite. The three of them decide to rescue the hostages before confronting Dr. Checkmate. they enter the room where the hostages are, and find they've walked into a trap. Delta leaps away as Wisherman and Hard-Course fall into a deep pit. Delta makes his way up onto the roof, unsure what to do. He spies a nearby restraunt called Hero Burger. remembering something he saw on T.V., Delta races to the Hero Burger, knowing he can get help there.

  41. Chapter Nine: Checkmate
  42.
  43. Wisherman and Hard-Course wish themselves out of the pit and find themselves face-to-face with Dr. Checkmate. He leads them to the room where he has the meteorite. as they leave the room where the hostages are, they dont notice Delta returning. Delta isnt alone. Dr. Checkmate shows Wisherman and Hard-Course the meteorite and tells them that the meteorite may not be from our dimension. The energy it had inside is unlike anything else in the known universe. Dr. Checkmate goes on to say that he intends to drain this energy from Wisherman and use it to lay waste to the world and then recreate the world with him as its supreme ruler. Wisherman and Hard-Course attack Dr. Checkmate. Wisherman pulls out a fishing rod and Hard-Course pulls out a Golf Club. then the ends of the rod and club fold down and blades of light extend out in their place. Using these blades of light, they knock Dr. Checkmate across the room, knocking him out. Then, they turn their attention to the meteorite and begin slashing at it. Wisherman notices a bolt of energy shoot out of a nearby outlet. The energy takes the form of a pixelated little girl. Then, Delta bursts into the room, with the 3 women who had been Dr. Checkmate's hostages right behind him. Delta identifies the little girl as Glitch. Glitch walks over to a supercomputer in the room. she begins pushing buttons rapidly. the screen announces that all files are being deleted. when the deletion is finished, Glitch fries the computer with a bolt of electricity. Then, she blurrs for a sec and loses her pixelated form, taking on the appearance of a regular little girl. She walks over to Delta and kisses him on the cheek (his helmet disappears while she is kissing him) and then turns back to her energy form and disappears into the outlet she came out of. Dr. Checkmate wakes up and sees that his supercomputer is wrecked. Wisherman and Hard-Course each place a foot on Dr. Checkmate's chest. Then, at the same time, they say "checkmate!".

  46.
  47. Delta leads Wisherman and Hard-Course up onto the roof, where they see the pixelated girl Glitch and another young man whom they recognize as Kid 100, leader of the Superkids. Kid 100 asks Delta to join the Superkids. Delta has grown to like Wisherman and Hard-Course and decides he would rather be their sidekick. this doesn't mean he wont join the Superkids later. Kid 100 tells Wisherman and Hard-Course that they have only won a small battle in a much larger war. Then, he and Glitch take there leave. Delta points to the nearby Hero Burger and explains that Kid 100 once said on T.V. that anyone wishing to contact the Superkids can do so from any Hero Burger, and that Hero Burger is a franchise owned by the Superkids. he also tells them that the meteorite energy is called "Hero Energy" and that same enrgy gives most of the Superkids their powers. Dr. Checkmate climbs up onto the roof and asks them to forgive him for what he's done. He says he let his work control him and he got carried away after the meteorite landed and he detected weird energy inside it. Delta's mother agrees to take her now-deceased husband's place as mayor of Roswell. Dr. Checkmate agrees to let Wisherman and Hard-Course use Kingdom Labs as a crime lab, assuming they continued being crimefighters. Dr. Checkmate also wants to join them and asks for sufficent superpowers. Wisherman grants his wish, but also erases his former evil plan from his memory to play it safe. Wisherman, Hard-Course, Dr. Checkmate, and Delta decide their "hero team" needs a name. since each of them specializes in a different "gentlemen's game/sport", they decide to call themselves the "SuperGents". Delta decides to master fishing, golf, and Chess. all 4 of them are left wondering what "war" Kid 100 was talking about.
