☁︎ THERE LIVED A WITCH

background :

Maya was born in Toronto with her brother, Troy (SF9's Yoo Taeyang). She and her brother were raised in a small flower shop in the city. They came from a modest background and grew up well despite being from another country. The family also puts emphasis on their culture by often having Korean meals.

The siblings are very close to each other because they spend lots of time together. Even though Troy is four years older, he always checks up on his little sister. He can be a bit protective at times but that was how Maya learnt to be more independent. Needless to say, the two love one another dearly.

After primary school, her parents decided to move back to South Korea. Hence, they did and she now schools in Seoul while her brother is in college studying music and dance. There was not much of a language barrier considering the two grew up using Korean in their homes.

personality :

At first glance, Miso is gives off a girl next door vibe. She appears untroubled but once you get to know her, she is just as chaotic in her own way. This girl is a social butterfly with her head in the clouds. Miso possesses a childish yet mature kind of personality that makes her stand out from the crowd.

➳ INDEPENDENT
Miso is not one to always rely on others. Miso also enjoys taking initiative even if she is not exactly familiar with the environment. She solves her own problems and hates the idea of having other people try and solve it for her. Also, she needs things to be fair or she will literally explode. She has a low tolerance for injustice.

➳ EASY-GOING
Even if Miso is stressed out, she knows to let loose once in a while. Hence, she is a lively person at most times. She loves to laugh and have light-hearted conversations. It is her method of destressing so that she does not bottle her emotions and take them out on others. She is considered the life of the party when things become awkward.

➳ HARDWORKING
Miso is not the perfect person her teachers expect her to be and she fully accepts that. That just encourages her to strive harder to achieve her goals, and not anyone else's. You can bet, give her a task and she will do her best to complete it unless it clashes with her personal principles.

➳ CARING
This sweet girl is very family-oriented. She cares very much for her family so don't even think about messing with them. On the other hand, Miso has a big heart and treats everyone as if they are the most important person on earth. Her amiable and loving nature makes her an ideal person to be around. Furthermore, she is affectionate out of habit and does not think much of it compared to others.

➳ CURIOUS
Repetitiveness is not something Miso enjoys. It gets mundane and boring to her after a while. That explains why she is always trying to get involved in something new. She enjoys change to a certain extent, even the smallest of changes like changing her seat or completing tasks in a different order. It makes a huge difference for Miso. Miso is also a big fan of asking questions to piece puzzle pieces together.

➳ OUTSPOKEN
When trying to prove her point, Miso can get pretty sassy. Her words express disbelief and her actions show that she simply cannot believe the foolery. It never lasts long though. Mostly it is because her love interest mentioned something she disagrees with (e.g. best partner, easiest hairstyle, etc.)

• Gardening
Growing up in a flower shop, Miso is able to tell apart the flora surrounding her. Even after they moved to Korea, she works part-time at a nearby flower shop because they hold great significance to her. Miso and her brother even have a small garden they both take care of at home. In addition, Miso is often the one who decides the flowers when decorating for school functions as she is the only one who really considers the significance of each flower.

• Sketching
As a busy high school student, Miso never really has time for herself. Hence, she picked up a hobby of sketching. She enjoys drawing realistic landscapes and occasionally potraits. After she left the fairytale world, her sketchbook has been filled with drawings of her love interest.

➵ STUBBORN; She will not rest until she gets her way. In all honesty though, if you approach her nicely and logically she is able to understand much better. A solution is often made after confronting her in that manner.

➵ TURBULENT; As much as she refuses to admit it, Miso stresses too easily. She has a tendency to freak out by herself because she dislikes this side of her. When anxious, Miso becomes rather quiet but is always willing to open up if anyone actually bothered to ask her. (Which her friends planned to.)

➵ INDECISIVE; Yes, this adventurous girl loves excitement. Though at times, this affects her performance in different aspects. Miso is often hopping from one thing to another which can be irritating when she has responsibilities to settle. Nevertheless, she works at her own pace.

➵ IDEALIST; It is no secret Miso daydreams often. She is fueled by 'ideals' compared to practicality which is not helpful when trying to solve real life problems. Her daydreams however, keep her motivated and inspired to carry out her hobbies and daily tasks.

¤ When trying to figure something out, she switches languages and mumbles to herself as it helps her think.
¤ Adores bunnies because of their adorableness and fluffiness (explains why she is always trying to cuddle Felix OOF-)
¤ Gets startled pretty easily so it is best not to approach her stealthily. Troy took advantage of this when they were younger and how she hated it.
¤ Always approaches people who are alone as she thinks they could use the company.
¤ Has a habit of trying to feed others because that was what she often did with her brother.

They try their best to and most of the time, they do. She was reluctant to trust someone she just met so quickly but her curiosity got the best of her. He, on the other hand, was intrigued by her personality and couldn't help but be drawn to her. Occasionally, there is light bickering which both know not to get upset over.

Miso was doubtful at first. She had never put so much trust onto any other male aside from her father and brother. She was hesitant to trust him but did so anyways as it seems though she doesn't have a choice. If Miso was to be honest however, she'd be lying if she said she didn't find him attractive when she first saw him. Eventually, she realizes she didn't want to be seperated from him.

life before :

Miso was struggling to maintain her position as a member of the student council. Recently, she was always in race against the clock with extra assignments and responsibilities. Her teachers had placed high expectations on her because they claimed they saw potential in her.

Sadly, this caused her to slowly drift apart from her parents. She always put up a tough facade whenever they asked her how school was. With her brother away, Miso was struggling badly and didn't have a pillar of support. She refused to speak to him about her problems concluding he had his own to face.

Her friends noticed her change but have yet to confront her about it. They were the same group of friends she hung out with ever since she moved back. Even with them, Miso did not seem to be her usual self. Unfortunately, she was sucked into the fairytale world before they could confront her on that very day.



☁︎ TILL SHE CURSED HERSELF

🌱 ¦ NOT THE BEST START
Shortly after they met, Miso did not like the treatment she recieved from him. He always acted as if she needed to be protected. Even though it was true to a certain extent, Miso could not help but bring up the topic. Due to both stubbornness, a conclusion could not be made. This caused her to stomp off further into the forest with him trailing a good distance behind her.

However, an arrow was shot barely missing the pair. Reacting quickly, he grabs her hand and starts running with the rain pouring. The two race to get away from the guards who were sent by the king to come after her. Eventually, the two hide in a small cave while being completely soaked. After they safely pass, the pair sit in silence, refusing to apologise. Nonetheless, they end up sitting very close to each other because of the harsh wind and soon she falls asleep on his shoulder.

🌱 ¦ THIS ISN'T GOODBYE
After a long series of events, the girls and boys have to part ways. Miso didn't really want to leave, especially after all she went through with her love interest. It was hard for her to say goodbye. Nonetheless, she had responsibilities back home. So she approached him hesitantly and offered a farewell hug. Only then did she realise she really cares for him. He too, felt the same way. Before finally parting ways, he leans forward and the two share a sweet kiss.

🌱 ¦ WE MEET AGAIN
After leaving the fairytale world, Miso was rather bummed about leaving him behind. On the bright side, she was finally getting herself back on track. Many noticed her mood had improved and she was back to the girl everyone missed. On a particular day, a member of her friend group, Lee Donghyuck (NCT's Haechan) invited them to watch their drama rehearsal as he was a member of the theatre production. After spending some time there, Miso spots her love interest practicing on stage. The two make accidental eye contact before he flashes her an innocent smile and looks away.


how do they react around their l/i? :

Miso is friendly with her love interest. He may seem kinda sketchy but she figures it would be best if she adapted to the situation quickly (with limitations, of course). They share lots of amusing conversations that is basically her showering him in questions whilst he replies uninterestedly (or so he tries). The pair are much like best friends who have been together since early childhood years. Slight difference, Miso gets flustered when their proximity decreases.

how do they react to the situation ? :

As expected, Miso was confused. That's an understatement, she was bewildered. The whole situation seemed very illogical to her and for a good reason. Despite being able to accept the fact that she was in another realm pretty quickly, she was hesitant of those surrounding her.
