― birth
hiyoko was born in the middle of the day while her mother was working at the daycare and her father was at their owned restaurant. her birth was extremely unexpected - she was born almost a month premature. thankfully, there were no health risks and she was a healthy baby at 7.5 pounds.

hiyoko was a relatively happy child, there weren't any problems in her life until she was about 11, in her middle school years. she became friends with a new group of girls which were fake towards her. sadly, they didn't realize until her friends got tired of her and abandoned her. they would lie to her a lot, she wasn't even a true friend to them; someone they just used like a toy. thankfully, hiyoko moved to seoul, south korea after that school year. when she moved, her father opened his restaurant again but this time in seoul. her mother got a new job at a new daycare. hiyoko attended a small all-girls private school where she would then learn korean.

at age 13, hiyoko knew she wanted to be an idol after she saw a classmate watching a girl's generation music video. she auditioned for many companies, but she landed a spot in dublekick entertainment. she trained there for a while and even appeared on finding momoland, being the youngest trainee there. she left for health reasons. when momoland was going to debut, she was put into the final line up last minute, but she ended up leaving dublekick and joined olympus entertainment soon after. after she made her debut with goddess, her parents ended up moving back to osaka since her grandparents were getting older and to the point where they needed someone to take care of them.

hiyoko is a whole shy baby. around people she has never met, her mind just goes blank and she can't find any words to say to them except for a quick "hi". she's always seen with a light rosy blush on her cheeks because she's so easily flustered around people. hiyoko is also a hopeless romantic and falls in love quickly.

honestly, hiyoko cares about others more than she really cares about herself. she's rather risk herself for her members rather than them have the consequences. she's always there for anyone and will have their back in anything they do. although, she's honest and tells them without sugarcoating it when she knows something her members or nct members are going to make a big mistake.

hiyoko cries super easily. she's a sensitive lil baby and hates scary movies. because of this, she's easy to tease and her face would get super red. she's always burying her face into someone's shoulder when she's embarrassed.

she's always quick to believe what she sees or hears. she's teased a lot by the older members, for example, them telling her a totally bizarre fact that is totally fake sounding but she'll believe them. this also has a deeper impact to her as well; she once was being told so many lies and she believed every single one of them, before learning they weren't the truth (elaborated in background).

hiyoko seriously can't wait for long until she'll get whiny and complain. she'll forever be a small child at heart, jumping up and down and using her charms to get her way.

― hiyoko was trying to read the signs of the arena of where their first concert on the tour would be. she was just trying to find the bathroom and the poor girl needed to pee - so badly. jeno watches her from the distance while the dreamies are talking outside of their dressing room. he notices her as the girl that yuta was talking about - when yuta had to help her as well. jeno walks away from the dreamies for a while and asks her if she needs help. hiyoko tells him desperately that she does, and he does his best to help her, even though sometimes she can't understand. the whole time her face is a furious shade of red and jeno notices this. after they find the bathroom, hiyoko says thank you in a panic, accidentally pronouncing it wrong. when he leaves after helping, he can't help but think about how cute she was.

FIRST IMPRESSION OF HIM:
― her first impression was literally just love at first sight. hiyoko became the shyest little thing around him. his bright smile made her blush and have butterflies in her stomach. she wished that she didn't have to act like she hated him, but ultimately she had to and felt on and off with her feelings.

FIRST IMPRESSION OF HER:
― jeno thought she was cute, like a lost little puppy. he felt bad and even though he had to act like they were enemies, he offered to help. he was a little concerned for her though, he didn't know that she was japanese and initially thought she was korean - he thought she could read the signs.

RELATIONSHIP (her pov):
— beginning: she's not very close with him, so she admires him from afar. she can't admit she has a crush on him. sometimes, jeno would try to talk to her and she'd get so flustered and panicked that she would just turn and walk the other way.

— middle: now, towards the middle of the tour, they're closer and they began to talk a lot more. they've gotten each other's kakaotalk ID's and text each other a brief good morning and good night, sometimes even have short conversations. hiyoko still has the same big crush on him, if possible even bigger now that she learns his personality. she now has the confidence to talk to him.

— end: the two of them now admit their crushes and almost everyone knows - they're just too shy to really do anything about it. hiyoko steals so many glances at him and throws so many hints at him. he just isn't catching on and this frustrates her - so out of her frustration, she storms up to him one day and tells it straight to his face that she likes him. she rants on and on, until jeno tells her to stop and he admits his feelings as well. soon after they begin "dating" - it's like puppy love. but they keep it from the media - they can't have a scandal at such a young age.

RELATIONSHIP (his pov): ^
— beginning: jeno doesn't really think much of her except for the fact that he knows she's not fluent in korean and is like a lost puppy. he talks about her a lot to his members, like what he saw her doing and how it was so funny to him or how cute it was. his members tease him a lot for apparently having a crush but he denies the fact.

— middle: jeno comes to his senses and finally realizes, "oh wait, i do have a crush on hiyoko". they've now exchanged kakaotalk ID's and how badly jeno wants to vent and tell her all about his feelings; but he can't. he doesn't know how she'd react, so he waits in silence.

— end: jeno doesn't seem to catch onto hiyoko's hints, so he just believes she doesn't feel the same way. when hiyoko admits her feelings, jeno is in so much shock that he just zones out while hiyoko's ranting. he eventually tells her to stop and pulls her aside to tell her his feelings. when he finally does, it's like his heart was going to fall out of his chest and he would die on the spot. he then asks her out on a date and awkwardly asks if it means they're boyfriend and girlfriend - in his defense, he's never dated before. they both agree to date, but promise to never tell anyone besides their members.

—  (i guess this could happen before they start dating?) hiyoko texts jeno about how she's stressed over learning korean and also having to deal with the tour at the same time. jeno then goes over to her dorm with a bunch of snacks and they watch an anime together.
— both the dreamies and hiyoko's sub unit go to a noraebang (karaoke place) and get their own private room. while they're there, someone suggests to do disney songs and jeno and hiyoko end up doing a duet to "a whole new world".
