Inspiring shit

Alexithymiaa: -Adam sat at the far table in the back of the library, several books opened in front of him and spread across the table. He had his notebook pushed off to the side, a pen in his hand as he scribbled in chicken scratch across the paper, keeping his eyes down and focused on his work.-
Tsaaq: "Thank you for helping me with my INC stuff on the weekends Professor." Hayley said to Skyy, she seemed a little cold in tone but that couldn't really be helped. "I'm glad I'm finally, mostly, caught up." She muttered.  // "Hey, it's no problem." Skyy said, giving her an awkward pat. "If you need anything? I'm just an office away. A walk, a talk." He rambled. // "Um... Okay thanks." Hayley said hurriedly, escaping from the room immediately and making her way down the hallway. She passed the library, peeking in and seeing Adam. She snuck inside and walked up behind him, tapping him on the shoulder.
Alexithymiaa: (Kay bye)
Tsaaq: ((Alright I guess.))
Alexithymiaa: -He nearly jumped out of his skin when she tapped him, so completely entranced in his work he hadn't seen her come in or heard her behind him. He whirled around, his eyes wide and alert. "Oh... Halo... you scared me."-
Tsaaq: She rose her hands a little as she took a step back. "That was kind of the goal but... Now I kinda feel bad." Hayley laughed a little then sat beside him, patting his shoulder. "I'm sorry Abs." She pouted.
Alexithymiaa: "It's okay. I'm a little out of it. It's not your fault." He forced a weak smile because his heart was still pounding.-
Tsaaq: "Yeah... You seem real busy all the time." Hayley continued to pout then leaned her elbows on the table. "Is everything alright?"
Alexithymiaa: "I'm just trying to research for my paper." He dropped his eyes back down to the books spread over the table. "I've had a lot of work to do lately."-
Tsaaq: Hayley bit her lip then leaned over to look at his books. "Anyway I can help?" She asked him with a shrug.
Alexithymiaa: "Umm...." He scanned his things before reaching for a highlighter, passing it over to her. "Go through this text and highlight any reference to Roe v Wade?" He asked, nudging his book toward her.-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head and took the highlighter then the book. "Nooo problem." Hayley said, her eyes scanning the page. "Did you pick this subject or whatever? Isn't this thingy about abortion?" She asked, highlighting a moment then going back to reading.
Alexithymiaa: "I did, yeah. I felt it was an especially good topic to write about because of recent political events." He nodded, scanning his own book and taking notes in his notebook.-
Tsaaq: "You mean like..." Hayley trailed off and leaned her head in her hand. "Wait are they trying to get rid of abortions? I just thought they were trying to close Planned Parenthood or something?"
Alexithymiaa: "Trump is against abortions. And has been pushing to overturn Roe v Wade." He spoke with a bit of sharpness to his voice because it made him mad.-
Tsaaq: Hayley shook her head, highlighting some more. "What a fucking dick?" She whispered, shaking her head. "So how can we make it so that he can't do something like that? Aren't there checks and balances to stop him?"
Alexithymiaa: "Well of course there are. And I don't know if he can really do it. But then again he's been trying to push through a bunch of things that are unconsitutional so I wouldn't exactly put it past him. I'm not really sure what we can do as of yet, but it's something I feel really strongly about so I want this paper to be flawless."-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head and went back to looking through the book. "I'll help all I can then, since it's so important to you. And kinda sounds important in general so I want to be useful."
Alexithymiaa: "I appreciate that, Halo. I think it should be important to everyone. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with this side of things." He let out a small defeated sigh, his hand moving over his notebook to jot down a few notes.-
Tsaaq: Hayley smiled up at him before she looked down at the pages carefully. "But everybody should have a right to make their own decisions..." She trailed off. "Don't worry. It's just like the world can't function without good and evil whatever but when you're good you're just helping the world combat the evil... Something like that?"
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah, something like that. And I understand there has to be two sides to every fight, but I don't really think this should even be a fight at this point. We've moved so far beyond trying to force our own religious views onto others. Because you know that's where this stems from. People think that because it's against their relgion, that no one else should be allowed to do it."-
Tsaaq: She pouted at him and shrugged. "Well... People have been warring over things because of religion for year. It blows but... It's sort of what happens for some dumb reason." Hayley sighed.
Alexithymiaa: "Yeah... I know. It just makes no sense to me." He sighed, dropping his pen down on his notebook and reaching over to pull a different textbook in front of him.-
Tsaaq: "Hey." Hayley went to pat his shoulder. "You're part of a solution and that's like, really good. And you should be proud because a lot of people don't even do that." She said, obviously trying to comfort him.
Alexithymiaa: "I'm trying to be. But it's hard to see what kind of impact one person with no power can really make."-
Tsaaq: Hayley furrowed her eyebrows as she turned to face him. "Abs, you have plently of power. You touch the life of almost every person around you." She said sternly. "And just because you don't see how you impact the grand scheme of things doesn't mean that you don't." She shrugged. "You have like a bunch of power, like, superhero levels."
Alexithymiaa: -He laughed, lowering his head a bit. "I don't have supergero levels of power, Hayley. Stop it. Now you're just getting carried away."-
Tsaaq: "You totally do but like, in your head!" She said, pointing to her own head. "And you're a superhero to me." Hayley said with a small smile and a shrug.
Alexithymiaa: -He turned to face her, just watching her for a moment. "You think so?"-
Tsaaq: Hayley nodded her head in agreement. "Hell yeah. I know so." She said confidently.
Alexithymiaa: "Thanks Halo." He leaned over, planting a kiss on her cheek. "I really appreciate that."-
Tsaaq: She giggled and went to give him a side hug. "Well I really appreciate you." Hayley said as she went to look back at the textbook, turning some of the pages. "I think I got it all but let me double check..." She said, picking up the highlighter.
Alexithymiaa: "That's okay, It's late. We should head back to the house and get some sleep before class tomorrow." He reached over and closed a few of his books, some inside others to save his place and he started to stack them up, slipping them one at a time into his backpack.-
Tsaaq: She nodded her head, closing the book and handing it over to him then got up from her seat. "Yeah... I gotta take my meds and shit." She sighed.
Alexithymiaa: -He zipped up his bag and swung it up and onto his shoulder, putting his hand on the small of her back to lead her through the library and out the door into the hallway. "How did you get here? Do you need a ride?"-
Tsaaq: "I sort of just walked from OCH... I was catching up on all the work I missed over this whole stupid time..." She trailed off, walking beside him. "But I finally finished everything so at least I'm not gonna fail everything and such at college anymore?"
Alexithymiaa: -He smiled at her as they walked down the hallway. "That's so great to hear. I'm really proud of you. C'mon, I'll give you a ride home." He pushed the door open for her to step outside, digging into his pocket for the keys to his truck. Stepping out behind her, he made his way through the parking lt to his truck, unlocking the doors and pulling the passenger door open for her before he climbed in himself to head back to the house.-
