The one where Lisa kicks Neil out of the house

Covet: Eli had been sitting at his desk getting some homework done. Bliss had plans with her granmother tonight and was going to be out so he figured he'd get some stuff done and get ahead on things.

Alexithymiaa: -Neil trudged up the stairs begrudgingly toward Eli's front door, a small suitcase gripped in his hand. He took a deep breath when he reached the top, hesitating a moment before lifting his hand to knock on the door.-
Covet: Eli furrowed his brow and looked at the door. Calling out he saved his work and got up from his desk. "One second." He pulled the door open and saw his Dad standing there. "Uh hey Dad. What brings you by tonight?" He asked looking out the door to see if his mom was with him or not.
Alexithymiaa: -Neil gave a disappointed sigh before forcing himself to continue with the words he didnt have a choice, but to say. "Would it be alright if I stayed with you for the evening? Your mother... well to say the least, she doesn't want me in the house if Tae isn't there."-
Covet: Eli looked at his Dad and raised an eyebrow at him, " Wow, really? She kicked you out? I don't think she's ever done that." He said stepping aside. "I assume there's more to this story?" Eli asked.
Alexithymiaa: "Well she was drunk when she did it, so there's that..." He grumbled, stepping into the apartment and setting his suitcase down on the floor beside the couch. "You know just as well as I do that I could give Tae a million dollars and she wouldnt move home."-
Covet: Eli closed the door and crossed his arms over his chest, " Drunk? On a Tuesday night?" Eli asked him then nodded his head, " I know she wouldn't because she doesn't want money. She wants what every naieve ninteen year old wants."
Alexithymiaa: "Internet fame?" He asked a little sarcastically because he was in a bad mood. He turned around to face Eli, leaning back against the couch to ease off his feet for a minute. "Yeah. Drunk. It's not exactly uncommon for her these days."-
Covet: "Good one, but I was going with Independence and respect. The difference between Tae and every other nineteen year old, is that Tae's at least trying to be halfway responsible for herself. I don't think she's gone and ate any Tide pods." Eli said rolling his eyes as he went into the kitchen, getting into the cupboard to pull out the bagels. " How common is it exactly then?"
Alexithymiaa: (DADS IN A BAD MOOD? BREAK OUT THE BAGELS. BAHAHAHA)
Alexithymiaa: -Neil rolled his eyes, mimicking his son's expression because family before dragging his hand down his face. "If she were eating Tide pods, we would have a much bigger problem on our hands than we already do." Spotting the bagels coming out, he started for the kitchen, beginning to linger around Eli like a moth to a flame. "More common than I'm willing to tell you right now. Cream cheese in the fridge?"-
Covet: [some people do coffee.. some people do wine... or beer.. Eli and Neil. Bagels.]
Covet: "Yes Dad." Eli said, trying not to sound annoyed because he knows how to make a god damn bagel Neil. Eli pulled out the toaster and put them on the perfect light golden brown toast setting and pushed them down, pulling out a knife. " That's exactly my point though. Count your blessings, things could be a whole lot worse." He said swallowing back those words, because they kind of were worse, because both these guys had secrets.
Alexithymiaa: -Neil walked over and pulled open the fridge, his eyes searching for the cream cheese before pulling out the small tub, setting it down on the counter for schmearing time. "I am. She might be stubborn, but we raised two good kids. And I'm proud of both of you and your accomplishments."-
Covet: "All our acomplishments?" Eli asked looking over at his dad, waiting for the bagles to pop up, "I'm pretty sure she gets that from you, you can be pretty stubborn when you want. Me and mom are the passive ones." He told him. "So, what's your plan to get back in the house, because as much as I love you, and am happy to help family out... You can't stay here for long. There is a normal routine around this place."
Alexithymiaa: "I have no intentions of staying with my son and his fiance for more than a couple days at most. I dont know what I'm going to do yet, but I'll figure it out. Bagels help the thinking process.' He said with a grin, watching the toaster. "I'm not that stubborn..."-
Covet: "Okay." Eli said then looked at his dad as he grabbed the bagles that came up, tossing them over to Neil. " Bliss and I might have something that we're going to try, but you're going to have to be a lot more willing to see Tae's point of view on this. At least a little bit, even if you don't agree with it. That's the only way she's going to even consider coming over for regular visits."
Alexithymiaa: -Neil reached out to catch the bagels, picking up the knife and uncovering the cream cheese to begin schmearing. "I'll listen to her. I can't promise to agree, but I'm more than willing to listen to her. When?"-
Covet: "Probably Thursday. We're still working out the where. We were planning on making you both meet up there unbenknownst to eachother. Force you two to sit down and work it out. Mediate the situation. But If you're game to go willingly, then we just have to figure out where we're meeting Tae." Eli said watching him cheese the bagels.
Alexithymiaa: "You should know better than to catch me off guard. I'm more willing to cooperate if you tell me whats going on rather than surprise me." He said as he finished up the first bagel, passing it over to Eli before cheesing his own.-
Covet: Eli picked it up and took a bite from it, chewing it up as he looked at his Dad. " It really wasn't about how you felt about it. It was going to happen regardless. If it's going to be expected of me to fix the family then Bliss and I were going to do it our way." He said with a shrug looking over at his Dad.
Alexithymiaa: "But you couldnt have expected to work if neither of us were willing to participate." He spoke as he finished cheesing his bagel, taking a bite and resting the knife on the side of the container. "Does Tae know?"-
Covet: "Have you ever even watched an episode of intervention?" Eli asked his dad as he continued to eat. Shaking his head, "No, I haven't said anything to her about it."
Alexithymiaa: "No? Not exactly my kind of tv, Elijah." He took another bite of his bagel, chewing deliciousness. "Maybe it would be a good idea to let her know that we'd all like to sit down and talk, specifically telling her that I'd like to talk to her."-
Covet: "Nevermind." He said shaking his head, "Okay., say I do that and she refuses and bails? Then what? I mean this is Tae we're talking about, anything is possible."
Alexithymiaa: "But isnt that what she wants? Acceptance and an apology? Why would she bail?" He asked him as he finished up his bagel, walking over to the couch to sit down because he intended to sleep there tonight.-
Covet: Eli looked at his dad and nodded, "Yeah, is that what you intend to do? Cause I'm not going to tell her that if you're not going to keep your cool." He walked over to the fort to get the blanket and a pillow for his Dad, tossing it over the back of the couch to him.
Alexithymiaa: -Stepping out of his shoes because you don't wear your shoes on someone's couch, he grabbed the blanket and sat down on the couch. "That's what I intend to do, yes. I'm done with our family being so divided like this."-
Covet: "Good. I'll pass the message along then." Eli said. "I've got to get up early in the morning. You know where the bagels are. Coffee is in the cupboard above the pot, yattah yattah. "We're going to talk about Mom too."
Alexithymiaa: "We'll talk about mom when it's time to talk about mom." Neil spoke dismissively because he was uncomfortable confessing all of the details to Eli as of yet. He made himself comfortable on the couch, pulling the blanket over him. "Go to bed, kid."-
Covet: "Goodnight." He said taking a deep breath, going to his room to pass the fuck out.
