Had been training his abilities over Doom for the last ten year, and come to somewhat understand them in that time. For the last two there he felt he'd reached some kind of wall in it's abilities. Yet he had never been able to breach past it.

Even with the influence he'd gathered in the dream realm he had never been able to get a straight answer from and of the beings living there. But he'd gotten enough riddles to maul over for some time. It'd always been that he wasn't awake yet, or that it wasn't the right time to wake up.

For a few years he'd wondered if maybe there was something he was going to wake up inside of him. While in the dream realm he continued his work with the nightmares that did pop up from time to time in this town. Not having heard news of the other cities. The citizens of this town had even stopped talking about the other cities.

He wasn't sure why he had not heard anything but he hadn't drawn the connection to Criana's death and the death of the town he'd been hearing about . Though he was growing curious about learning about this power. The city's library an unused asset  that he'd yet to use.  Looking through the library he began finding books on Heroes of this realm.

He started off reading a book of legends depicting three heros.  One of light, one of Heart, and one of Hope.  Their journeys to fight off a Lord of Rage who's madness had caused the lands to grow barren and cause a famine inside his own lands. The Heroes raising up to confront the mad Lord.

The story had some odd phrasing much like the Dream-beings speech about knowing or living while awake. The general story had tone sacrifice and hardships, but not much that helped him but he did see some glimmering bits of info such as the death of Hope which led to the bleeding Heart to cry out. Light's glow becoming brighter and Hope was reborn once more.

In the next book  it seemed to deal with a Hero of Void that sacrificed themselves into the void to hold the two worlds apart. Having dropped their blood into the void of the floating cities to keep them stabilized and stop them from falling into the real world.

This had him wondering about this connection to the real world. He'd been pulling his powers from this realm of dreams and seemingly illogical logic. Maybe he was thinking to literal. That's when an idea hit him. If the two worlds were connected, what would happen if he fell into the real world.

It was this thought that lead him towards the edge of the town, now staring into the abyss below the floating down. He calmed himself and focused his energy. Thoughts of what would happen, what he died, what if something worse happen. Though his training kicked in. the worry, the doubt. It kind of all just melted away. “A leap of faith. . . right” he said before closing his eyes and plunged into the void.

He felt the rush of wind for a second before nothing. The sensation of falling too fading as the seconds past. Opening his eyes did nothing to help him as he was just gone in the void. Hours of this went by before he saw a speck of something growing larger and larger.

Moving to cover his eyes to shield them from the growing brightness after being in the void for so long. When he went into the light sensation appeared once more. He felt the wind blowing through his hair. His purple dream clothing rippled in the wind.

Uncovering his eyes he looked down to see the town he lived in. it was so far below, but was getting closer and closer with each seconds. He felt his being being drawn somewhere. The closer to the city he got he saw something that . . . no someone that made his mind kind of go blank for a second. He was watching himself fall toward himself. It was hard to comprehend fully but at the same time it made sense. Currently his real-world body was asleep against the gym. His dream self getting closer and closer.

And then it happened. He crashed into his body, and he woke up; albiet violently. Looking around trying to find his dream-self but wasn't able to find him. He looked around gathering his senses. He felt different but at the same time, not.  All he knew was something had happened but not what, unaware he'd no longer be able to go to the dream-realm when he slept, as well as what it meant now that his two selves were fused into one.
