  1. Hey Everyone, and welcome to another XIM Tutorial.
  2.
  3. today will show you two configs for Call of Duty Cold War. The first one is for players who prefer their mouse movements to be as close to PC as possible, while the second one is about providing the best aim assist experience that you can get in Call of Duty Cold War.
  4. My recommendation is to try the optimal mouse movement config first, as it will be much easier to transition from that config to the aim assist one. Plus you will also be able to better tell if you like the aim assist config.
  5.
  6. But first lets quickly go over the required ingame settings.
  7. You can find those by pressing the wrench button in the bottom right of your config picture. Click on the yes button and you will be forwarded to the XIM forum. In general you should ALWAYS use the recommended ingame settings from the XIM website. Settings that aren’t listed here can of course be customized to your personal preference. Since Call of Duty Cold War doesn’t have any entry in the list, you just have to max out the controller sensitivity in the ingame options.
  8.
  9. Now lets setup the optimal mouse movement config first.
  10. This config is ideal for players who already have a really good aim or want to build up muscle memory for a better mouse accuracy.
  11.
  12. The First adjust step is to change your polling rate in the global settings of your XIM Manager. Your polling rate should be set to either 500hz or 1000hz. If you cannot see that option, then tick the expert mode box at the very top. For the best mouse movements you want to reduce any potential source of mouse stutter. And given that most mice perform pretty bad on 1000hz, I would recommend you to set your XIM to 500hz if you experience any mouse stutter. My mouse runs really well on 1000hz so I will go to that profile. Now, press the save button in the bottom right and restart your XIM Apex, otherwise your polling rate changes will not become active.
  13.
  14. Next you have to click on the edit button to customize your config.
  15. My config colour is set to yellow and my hotkey is the F1 key. That way I can load my Call of Duty config whenever I want to by pressing the F1 key on my keyboard. As a confirmation my XIM will then show a yellow LED light.
  16. Now let’s swipe one more time to the right to enter the HIP config.
  17.
  18. As always adjust your synchronization settings first. In my opinion sync default is the best choice. Sync default allows us to have a very snappy aim while not sacrificing too much on the aim assist side. If you prefer less aim assist then sync off is also a great choice.
  19.
  20. Now after that adjust your HIP sensitivity. I will use a sensitivity of 60 with a mouse dpi value of 3200.
  21. If you want less aim assist then you can also use more dpi. Also If you are unsure what sensitivity you should use, then you can watch my sensitivity tutorial to find your most optimal mouse sensitivity. You can find a link to it in the video description.
  22. The HIP mode has some micro movement issues, which we will solve by adding a boost of 200.
  23. For Steady Aim we have no need in our HIP config, so keep it untouched.
  24. And for SAB you shouldn’t use more than 25. Personally I prefer 0 for Cold War, but some SAB can help to reduce aim assist problems.
  25.
  26. Now scroll down until you can see the button bindings. Here you can either copy my button layout that you can see right now, or you go with your own one.
  27. At the very bottom of your button bindings you can find the option to switch to the secondary button bindings. If you want to double bind specific keys or game actions then you can do that here.
  28.
  29. Now swipe one more time to the right to enter the ADS configuration.
  30.
  31. Just like before, adjust your XIM synchronization first. I recommend use the same synchronization settings as in your HIP config to maintain the same mouse feeling. So I will go with Sync default again. After that adjust your Aim Down Sights sensitivity. My preferred Aim Down Sights sensitivity for Cold War is 29.
  32. Cold War has a lot of horizontal aiming, therefore I will add some Steady aim to my ADS config. A value of 3 to 5 will help me to stabilize my crosshair. if you have never used this feature so far I would recommend you to first try a value of around three.
  33. Near the top you can now take care of your delay values. The default values are just the average across all weapons in Cold War. So if you experience sensitivity jumps, or slowdowns, while going in- or out of the ADS mode, then you will have to change and optimize these values. SMGs usually have fairly low values, while heavy weapons such as machine guns require higher values. Since the weapons I usually play work really well with the default values I will not have to change anything here.
  34.
  35. Next I will show you how to setup the aim assist config. The config is called MJFame and its one of the best aim assist configs. It performs exceptionally well in Call of Duty games and is in my opinion the best config you can use in these games. Now in the next few minutes I will give you a quick rundown on how to set up the MJFame config. If you want to learn more about the MJFame config, such as how the config actually works, then you can watch my dedicated MJFame config video. You can find a link to it in the video description.
  36.
  37. Now first you will have to set your mouse DPI value to 400 or 800. It may sound crazy but its one of the fundamental basics of the MJFame config. Also your polling rate should be the same as in the previous config.
  38.
  39. Once that is done you can start to edit, your Call of Duty Cold War config.
  40. This time I will use a different hotkey and config colour. As a hotkey I will pick the F2 key, and my config colour will be green. That way I can quickly switch between my two Call of Duty configs by pressing F1, or F2, on my keyboard.
  41.
  42. Next you can swipe one time to the right to enter your HIP config.
  43. Just like in the previous config we will adjust the synchronization settings first. For the MJFame config you HAVE to use sync off, so don’t use any other synchronization. After that you can adjust the sensitivity option. One of the requirements of the MJFame config is that you HAVE you to set your Sensitivity to 500. Yes you heard right, but don’t worry we will later adjust the mouse sensitivity in a different way. Next you have to change your Smoothing value to 20.
  44.
  45. To adjust the mouse sensitivity we will now have to do the following. Click on the ballistic curve generator and adjust the curve in the following way. To reduce your XIM sensitivity just move the bottom slider all the way to the right, and then reduce the curve by dragging down the right slider. And if you want to increase your mnouse sensitivity, then reset the curve, and move the bottom slider into the middle. Next you can use the right slider to increase that position to maximum. The more you go to the left the faster your mouse sensitivity will become. The following curve will for example be even faster.
  46. Now adjust your sensitivity by changing the curve until you found your preferred mouse speed. After that close the curve generator and swipe one more time to the right. By the way if this was too fast for you, then you can watch a more detailed explanation with some curve examples, in my MJFame tutorial video.
  47.
  48. In your ADS config you will now do the very same. So start by setting your synchronization to off, and after that increase your sensitivity to 500. Next you can take care of the smoothing option by changing its value to 20.
  49.
  50. For the delay values you can use the same ones as in the previous config. Everything works in the very same way here as I described it in the previous config. Again I will keep the default values as these work really well for my preferred weapons.
  51.
  52. At last expand the curve generator again and achange your mouse sensitivity by adjusting the graph. The concept is the same as in your HIP config, if you decrease the curve, your sensitivity will be slower, and if you move the curve to the left, you will increase, your sensitivity. Once you found a good sensitivity you can close the curve generator.
  53.
  54. Your MJFame config is now complete, you can hit the save button in the top left and exit the configuration mode.
  55.
