  1. WRITTEN EXPLANATION
  2.
  3. #A-007818-3205
  4.
  5. I, Kamille Bidan, deeply apologize for having carelessly damaged the EQ-D79F
  6. type probe and inflicted a heavy loss to my unit at 0623 hour on April 20th in
  7. U.C.0087 while I was engaged in training mission around the Moon airspace. This
  8. accident was caused by my inexperience in piloting the vehicle and analyzing
  9. the situation. Even though I am a civilian, I sincerely feel responsible for
  10. the loss of the valuable machine and ask for your forgiveness.
  11.
  12. I swear I'll never cause such an accident again and make even greater efforts
  13. in my duties even if I'm merely a civilian.
  14.
  15. April 20th, U.C.0087
  16.
  17. Kamille Bidan (Citizen ID#BK70111106)
  18. RX-178 No.3 Pilot
  19. The Argama Unit on A.E.U.G Cruiser
  20.
  21. Confirmed by:
  22. Quattro Bageena (Lieutenant of the Argama Unit)
  23. Astonaige Medoz (Master Chief Petty Officer of the Argama Unit)
  24. Henken Bekkener (Commander of the Argama Unit)
  25.
  26. ---
  27.
  28. PERSONAL SUPPLEMENT
  29.
  30. First I would like to protest that, while I'm merely a civilian, I strongly
  31. doubt if there is any legitimate reason in my submitting this kind of written
  32. explanation in the formal style.
  33.
  34. I don't disagree that even a civilian would need to apologize when he broke
  35. some public property. But I didn't do it on purpose. Besides, even if I would
  36. have to say sorry, I don't understand why I have to turn in a written
  37. explanation in such formal style of military.
  38.
  39. If I have to apologize, I shouldn't do so to the military but to those taxpayers
  40. who supplied us with the money to purchase the machinery. Moreover the apology
  41. should come from all the personnel involved. The accident was not caused by an
  42. error of one individual but resulted from every actions and negligence of all
  43. the involved people. If this case could be closed just by Kamille Bidan, a mere
  44. civilian, saying sorry, it would reveal the fact that this so-called "military"
  45. organizations based on such fallacies and hypocrisies. If you people can live
  46. with that, I might not be the one to complain about it. But is it really OK?
  47.
  48. In addition, if I dare to point out, it's obvious that the situation having
  49. resulted in the accident was mainly caused by a dangerous act of provocation by
  50. Lieutenant Quattro Vageena.
  51.
  52. If you review the maneuver records of the machine operated by Lieutenant Quattro
  53. (File#FGH2120-R646-F/0, you'll clearly see that the said maneuver was a
  54. dangerous conduct, drastically deviating from any conceivable scope of our
  55. training mission. I assume that the act of provocation resulted from Lieutenant
  56. Quattro's personal grievance against me (please refer to
  57. File #FGH2120-R646-F/08: File Cluster M: Index Tag #12989 - #20533).
  58.
  59. In this regard, I believe anybody will have a serious doubt over Lieutenant
  60. Quattro's aptitude as a pilot.
  61.
  62. The grudge between Lieutenant Quattro and myself was initiated by the
  63. lieutenant's one-sided misconception, and his maniacal tenacity obviously caused
  64. the accident. To me, it's simply unbelievable that such a madman has been
  65. allowed not only to operate a mobile suit and get involved in military missions
  66. but even to command a whole unit.
  67.
  68. Letting a person like Lieutenant Quattro command a mission is like letting a
  69. monkey handle a bomb. Saying it, I even feel as if I were insulting a monkey.
  70. I simply don't understand why everyone can put up with seeing that madman
  71. bossily swagger around. Everyone, don't you feel it's crazy?
  72.
  73. If I further elaborate on this situation, obviously, our superior has made some
  74. erroneous selection and judgment as he picked up the madman for a pilot's
  75. position and engaged him in military missions. Commander Henken's leadership
  76. totally lacks the considerations needed to run a group operation smoothly. In
  77. other words, he doesn't have eyes to evaluate his soldiers. First of all, I have
  78. a strong doubt over Commander Henken's qualification as a military leader while
  79. he puts his trust in such a good person who always hides his face with
  80. sunglasses. Is he good enough to be any kind of leader?
  81.
  82. Lieutenant Quattro should reveal his own eyes when he talks to other people. Or
  83. is his face so ugly he really needs to hide it? Don't make me laugh.
  84.
  85. As a conclusion, I would like to protest that the blame over me should be
  86. alleviated to a great degree under the circumstances I explained. And it's only
  87. reasonable that Lieutenant Quattro and Commander Henken who connived the
  88. lieutenant's action should be also held responsible as much as they deserve.
  89.
  90. What's the matter with you, making me write this kind of explanation?! Don't
  91. you guys ever remember the fact that I've been fighting simply because I was
  92. asked to do so? Does anyone have a sense of fairness in this military?
