  1. The town rumbles.
  2. (Mungronaar)
  3. He nodded as she asked about his being a wanderer. "Been wandering around most of my life. It's not bad." he stated leisurely. Though they were interupted as the town rumbled. They'd have to continue their chat later.
  4.
  5. "Want to take a look?"
  6. (Aventarell)
  7. How unfortunate that the moment they began to get deeper in the conversation, the town outside began to rumble. Either something was going on with the massive dragon that snoozed near the lodestone or--
  8.
  9. Really, there was no other explanation for the cause of an earthquake like shake going on in the city. From within the church, chatter could be heard growing louder outside.
  10.
  11. "Damn it.. that dragon.. yes, let's go!" Hurriedly, the young woman steps foot outside just before a raven finds itself to her to deliver a letter, landing on her shoulder as she took it before taking off, but right now, she had other matters to address.
  12.
  13. "Kraus damn it.." She spoke as she ran out through the church with the man if he was following.
  14. (Vivica Loirdne)
  15. Athena walked outside to see a freaking Dragon of all things prancing about. That was odd. He wouldn't attempt to make any hostile movements. The pink haired Magi would just approach it at what he felt was a safe distance. He looked around for anyone else who noticed it as well.
  16. (Athena Lachlyn)
  17. The child blinked as the child shook. Their ears and tail flattened a bit and Athena ran out of the church. The child too, ignoring his warning of staying put. Pushing open the big doors of the church, the child would then see a huge dragon in the middle of the town.
  18.
  19. Starox blinked at the sight but started to shake a bit. The dragon didn't feel familiar at all and it was much much bigger than anything their father or uncle could turn into to. They waited for the dragon's next move quite fearful and taking a few steps back.
  20. (Starox Rainfold-Azar)
  21. Athena Lachlyn: <*notices Starox but doesn't make a move or scream out in frustration at the kid*>
  22. The ground was rumbling which made running a bit difficult and caused the Loirdne woman to feel off balance -- a cloud was immediately formed for her to stand upon and float towards the creature and the citizens.
  23.
  24. Vivica remained calm, as usual. Children were seen, mothers, fathers, lots of family who began to crowd around, but her sight didn't look just yet to the drake. The ground was shaking, thus, she yelled out towards them.
  25.
  26. "Starox, run home, now. Take shelter with your siblings, that goes for all children and families!" She called out. Vivica was no Champion in the army, but she was a Hero, therefore she hoped they'd listen! Many listened, grabbing their children to run home, but what was the drake doing?
  27.
  28. Her silver eyes wandered to the dragon just then--
  29. (Vivica Loirdne)
  30. Tremors resulted from the massive beast's repositioning. Red, lava-like eyes slit open and take in all of the ants within mere moments. Fixating upon the pureblood.
  31.
  32. Did they remember the old ways, did they still hold reverance for their idelic deific beings?
  33.
  34. Regardless the tail of the beast swayed and the nearby building was consequently rendered into half of it's original size. The wings were outstretched and the resulting gusts were akin to a natural disaster.
  35.
  36. The claws move, slamming down allowing the creature to rise to it's titanic height. Standing upon it's hind legs for a moment it roars and the horde upon which it was sleeping, the fire lodestone hovering at the top, all jingled and slid about.
  37.
  38. As it fell down onto all fours once more, the ground crumbles, and an annoyed sigh, yes, the dragon sighed, emits from it's maw as it absorbs the banter of the mortals.
  39. (Mungronaar)
  40. And just like they arrived, the council. Or the three members of it that had been present at the meeting. It had been a rather lax meeting compared to others, but a much-needed break from drama. A chance for friends to reminisce. Marina watches the mighty beast as it roars and sighs and breaks the ground. What did it want? It certainly was not taking the lodestone if that's what it wanted. Too many people had put their lives on the line to gain it.
  41.
  42. But what could they do? Too many people were around. Too many chances to see death and destruction fi they fought. Really their only hope was for Zain to be able to talk it down or at the very least see what it wanted for sure. Otherwise drastic measures might need to be taken.
  43.
  44. The Blaze would simply stand by Sirus's at his right side, her rightful place has the Firekeepers right hand man. She shows no signs of violence, just hazel eyes staring the beast down. Despite being a Drakanite Marina was always indifferent about the beast, everyone knew she was not the typical example of her species. She never had been, even as a kid, then again, the woman who raised her was a human. Her real mothers' origins still unknown.
  45.
  46. For now she simply waited.
  47. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  48. Near the trembling ground and at the side of the man who she was conversing with in the church before this incident. The moment her eyes laid on the dragon, its tail had obliterated a building on half. Gusts of wind pushed her off the created cloud with ease and on the ground.
  49.
  50. "Kraus damn it. Why not of all times did this drake-- erm.." Vivica grunts, rising from the ground to recreate her cloud and the moment she steps back upon it, clouds above all heads darken, flash, and rain comes to pour.
  51.
  52. Now she was summoning magic.
  53.
  54. The proud Loirdne distances herself with a barrier of water in front of her. Silver eyes comes to close and within her mind, she images the glowing doorway to the spirit realm with which the handle is turned and pulled to open.
  55.
  56. "Niall, I'll need your help." She speaks in a whisper and reaches in to pull out the little cloud like elemental with lightning magic surging throughout its body alike to what her own form appeared. A mist covering around Vivica's body with lightning magic surging through it.
  57.
  58. A glance is give towards the elemental she had summoned that moved from her hand to float about her head, but was it going to be obedient again? She remained calm still. "Do not move until I say to, Niall." She spoke in a calm and soothing tone of voice. She didn't show a sign of attacking, but a storm was coming now. Rain was falling hard. How dramatic.
  59. (Vivica Loirdne)
  60. Zain would there once more before the dragon that he had seen just shortly ago. He would sigh softly. "Transforming twice in one day... There's a great possibility that I'll pass out upon de-shifting. Just be ready to cover me up in the case, okay?" He would then sigh, as he would be back at it again.
  61.
  62. His body would begin to grow, as scales would grow heavily, as a snout would grow. His tail would grow large, and his skin would turn golden. He would still be half the size of the dragon before him as he would. He would then speak, exclusively to the dragon.
  63.
  64. "You are on the territory of Cinderfall, that of the Eternal Flame. If you come from Dragon's Peak, I ask that you either return to that, or move to an area that is more open in the south. Plenty of room to create a nest, and be away from society and destruction. You cannot make a home of yourself here if it means the destruction you just caused, intentional or not."
  65. (Zain Rainfold Azar)
  66. Sirus flinched a bit when the dragon inadvertenly caused the destruction of a nearby building. Oh no no... this is something Sirus does -NOT- want to deal with. "There's no way in hell you're staying in Cinderfall if you're going to cause this much damage just from waking up. This territory is also under the watch of Wyr'ama, a Nature Dragon. Unless you want to have a territorial bout with her AND the Eternal Flame, I highly advise that you'd leave."
  67.
  68. Sirus glared at the dragon, not showing an ounce of fear. He's been around enough dragons in his lifetiem. Hell, he's killed a dragon before! One that used Storm magic. He didn't know if the dragon could understand their language but if the dragon can comprehend, he would probably piece together that Sirus was not messing around. Neither were the other denizens of Cinderfall.
  69. (Sirus Blackmane)
  70. Heat permeated around the dragon as it looked to the fullshifter, it's mouth stretching to an amused grin as best a dragon's maw could, teeth glistening in the flamelight. The storm seemed to have no effect on the beast, and as it was spoken to it chuckled, or.. did a dragon's equivalent.
  71.
  72. "I have chosen to make my lair around this stone. Move your puny homes aside and I will grant you protection. Or have you forgotten the days of old, mortal?"
  73.
  74. The dragon groaned and coiled it's massive tail, wings folding upon it's spined back as it pans it's gaze along the gathered magi. Each one examined with impunity.
  75. "I care not about the puny worms that bask in the scent of mortal flora... build me a home around this stone and I will protect it, in exchange for solitude."
  76. (Mungronaar)
  77. Zain Rainfold Azar: <simply looks to Sirus, and his head shakes.>
  78. Sirus Blackmane: Welp... Uh..
  79. Sirus Blackmane: What did it say, Zain?
  80. Zain Rainfold Azar: <Softly roars. Not understandable...>
  81. Mungronaar: Zain.. such a pathetic name for one of your blood.
  82. Zain Rainfold Azar: My name does not make who I am.
  83. Sirus Blackmane: <*Doesn't understand the Dragon's tongue*>
  84. Marina Seraph Azar: <*same*>
  85. Mungronaar: <He leans his head back, glaring down upon the fullshifter.>
  86. Mungronaar: Then show me who you are mortal, prove to me.. that this place is worth this stone, worth me not simply taking it.
  87. Zain Rainfold Azar: <Takes a step forward> And how do you want me to prove that?
  88. Sirus Blackmane: Erm... this doesn't look good.
  89. Mungronaar: You awkwardly puppeteer my ilk's form.. a gift from one of the ancients, you speak to me yet you gave no name yourself..
  90. Mungronaar: <He grumbles, lava-like irides scanning the golden fullshifter.>
  91. Athena Lachlyn: I think I took care of all the stragglers
  92. Marina Seraph Azar: Hold on Sirus let's see what goes on...
  93. Sirus Blackmane: Aye...
  94. Mungronaar: What do you seek, above all else?
  95. Mungronaar: <He leans in, searing breath billowing over the golden fullshifter's snout.>
  96. Mungronaar: Tell me your vice.
  97. Zain Rainfold Azar: I seek peace upon my people... my family.
  98. Zain Rainfold Azar: No matter what that takes.
  99. Mungronaar: Do you know what I seek, mortal?
  100. Zain Rainfold Azar: I don't.
  101. Zain Rainfold Azar: What DO you seek?
  102. Grunts, groans, growls, and roars between the two drakes. Perhaps negotiating in their tongues. A glance is given from the larger drake and towards the little elemental. This was a good learning experience, but should worst come to worst? Would it assist?
  103.
  104. "Grant me your power, Niall, incase this doesn't end well." She whispered towards the little creature. Did it comprehend her words? Was it going to listen?
  105.
  106. (Rolled 5 - Obedient) The elemental was beginning to grant Vivica its power. Lightning from the little creature flowed throughout its body. From Niall and to Vivica, it's power flowed, crackling down her own body. Her own magic had done the same. Surging from her and to the elemental. A share of power and a better display of their ability to connect to one another.
  107.
  108. That's what its duty was afterall, to protect Cinderfall with her and grant Vivica the power she'd need to face stronger enemies, such as this dragon should whatever they speak of fall through.
  109.
  110. The woman's eyes began to emit a silvery glow. Mana emanated within the air, manipulating the flow of wind around her, but not enough to create twisters, yet. She was simply preparing for any altercation. Meanwhile, thunder boomed loudly overhead.
  111. (Vivica Loirdne)
  112. A massive claw props upon the floating fiery lodestone, not drawing power from it, but pouring flames into it. The fragments threaten to fuse, forming a proper artifact yet they hesitate.
  113.
  114. "I am Mungronaar, the Sleeping Flame.. The Smoking Mountain.. you mortals have given me many names and assumed my intentions time and time again.. even your kind."
  115.
  116. The dragon laughs dreadfully, the pseudo-humanoid behavior rather eery in the wake of such a being. It was clear it was not afraid, perhaps cocky, as most dragons are. Their pride beyond that of a 'sin magi', or anything of that sort. A facet of their very person.
  117.
  118. "What I seek is nothing so idealistic or foolish.. things like your desires simply do not exist. Strife breeds ambition, mortal, forging greatness in the bowels of creation for eternity. I seek contentedness, and I will have it."
  119.
  120. Smoke billows from the snout of the massive beast.
  121.
  122. "Now.. tell me, Zain, will you mortals defy my wishes, or will you take it in stride and forge an alliance akin to those of ancient times, many centuries past?"
  123. (Mungronaar)
  124. Sirus Blackmane: <*Blinks*> D-did it just laugh?
  125. Athena Lachlyn: ...It sounded like it
  126. Athena Lachlyn: Does that mean they're having fun ? Is that good ?
  127. Zain didn't know what to do now... it was clear he was not going to be able to force the dragon to move by himself, and the fact was that now he wanted to shelther himself amongst the Lodestone. He would narrow his golden, narrow eyes, and speak.
  128.
  129. "Perhaps I was not heard. This is not your land, this land is claimed by another dragon.. Though, that is not myself. You are upon owned land, and you will not have whatever you want. I defy your wishes, as you throw empty threats at me, when all I ask is that you leave this land."
  130.
  131. Silence would then fall for quite some. He would look around to everyone, then to Sirus. He would once again shake his head. "They can't hear us. I'm the only thing stopping them from acting on their own accord. You need to leave, and seek refuge elsewhere. This is the last time I will give you a choice. My peace can be achieved, and you stand in the way of it's achievement. Mungronaar, The Sleeping Flame... I, Zain, the Golden Flamekeeper, ask you to leave this land of Cinders."
  132.
  133. He would then be standing right before the dragon, snout pierced above at him.
  134. (Zain Rainfold Azar)
  135. Aidan Azar whispers something.
  136. As Zain stepped forth he simply looked down upon the fullshifter, amused. A roaring chuckle shakes the city and then he speaks, a witty tone wrapped in deep baritones and bases, rumbling like a landslide from the dragon's maw.
  137.
  138. "Empty threats! Pah! You humor me. I will sleep around this flaming stone and any who dare to remove it from this spot will meet my wrath. Reflect upon yourself mortal, for none threaten the peace save you."
  139.
  140. The dragon's tail expertly misses a building, gracefully coiling up as it descends into the start of another slumber. The lodestone protected within it's massive body.
  141.
  142. Breathy words linger upon the ears of the fullshifter.
  143.
  144. "I have no need to break your feeble structures, though if I were to fight I cannot say damages would be avoided. Think upon this, mortal."
  145. (Mungronaar)
  146. Sirus Blackmane: <*Peers up at the golden dragon*> Well Zain? What's it saying?
  147. Zain Rainfold Azar: <Eyes would peer down momentarily... So, he would begin to deshift,>
  148. Zain Rainfold Azar: <*would be best to hear what Zain says before reacting.*>
  149. Aidan Azar: <*Kinda just slides into place and stares at the dragon*>
  150. Zain Rainfold Azar: <Cape now around him, as he keeps eyes peering at the ground.> He's not moving...
  151. Zain Rainfold Azar: And if we try to move him... He threatens to destroy.
  152. Achyles Azar: Sounds like a grade A asshole.
  153. Achyles Azar: *Sips his pint*
  154. Athena Lachlyn: mhm
  155. Zain Rainfold Azar: He's a dragon with a goal. Not much of a stronger stride than that...
  156. Zain Rainfold Azar: And effectively.. I can't move him myself.
  157. Corin Trigg: <*Stares at the dragon before walking off*> I'm getting too old for this shit.
  158. Achyles Azar: Yeah, whats his goal take the shiny lodestone? Whats his plan with it?
  159. Zain Rainfold Azar: Against him, my fire, my strength is...
  160. Sirus Blackmane: Hmm...
  161. Marina Seraph Azar: We can't let a dragon build a den in the middle of town for any reason at al.
  162. Marina Seraph Azar: He already.
  163. Zain Rainfold Azar: He wishes to make a lair... Around the loadstone.
  164. Marina Seraph Azar: Destroyed a buidling.
  165. Sirus Blackmane: How about this...
  166. Aidan Azar: Woah!
  167. Zain Rainfold Azar: Hm?
  168. Achyles Azar: A lair... thats like a cool word for mansion right?
  169. Sirus Blackmane: What if we move the lodestone into the caverns?
  170. Marina Seraph Azar: ....
  171. Sirus Blackmane: Just the fire one.
  172. Achyles Azar: Like that idea. Maybe he'd go for it?
  173. Marina Seraph Azar: And take it away from the people, the last whim of Liara.
  174. Zain Rainfold Azar: That's as risky as keeping it where it is now..
  175. There was no understanding the dragontongue or conversation between the two drakes. Clearly whatever negotiations, if there were any, had come to fail, leaving the massive omega to fall back into slumber.
  176.
  177. The woman's eyes began to fall halfway lazily, tired of this commotion. Was Cinderfall this lenient against beings who were obvious threats? The young, prideful woman shook her head with disbelief towards Zain's words.
  178.
  179. "What a shame." She spoke, glancing over at the elemental who was sharing power with her. Faint, but she could feel the little amount gained and in return, he shared her own. It was learning, but how could it possibly gain experience without battle?
  180.
  181. No matter, thunder continued to clap throughout the sky, booming over others' words. With her control, lightning struck the very ground near her body. Silver, glowing eyes kept watch on the dragon who decided to sleep.
  182.
  183. "Nothing amuses me more than the leniency towards situations like this." She whispered to herself before lowering herself on the ground. "It seems there won't be battle just yet, Niall." This was annoying -- to constantly summon the elemental only to gain no experience. She almost felt bad for it.
  184. (Vivica Loirdne)
  185. Achyles Azar: Naw, it'd only be temporary. It's a compromise mother.
  186. Marina Seraph Azar: Compromise only leads to no solutions in the end son,
  187. Marina Seraph Azar: That stone needs to be used.
  188. Lucius Volusenna: So the dragon refuses to budge?
  189. Marina Seraph Azar: A dragon will not allow that.
  190. Qasthan Loirdne: <*thonks*>
  191. Mungronaar: <*snores*>
  192. Sirus Blackmane: Aye. If we let it have the stone Lucius then that means your forge loses its properties.
  193. Sirus Blackmane: It refuses to move and wants to build a lair around it.
  194. Sirus Blackmane: But... well.
  195. Lucius Volusenna: Moreso then that, we lose a valuable resource.
  196. Sirus Blackmane: It's in th' middle of th' Kraus-damned town
  197. Lucius Volusenna: There is no well.
  198. Achyles Azar: Might not be the best quesiton to ask... But, what the hell are the lodestones for?
  199. Lucius Volusenna: I thought of that earlier. But if it truly refuses to move without the lodestone, and it's already ruined a building, then allowing it to stay proves to be more of a threat then a fight,
  200. Vivica Loirdne: Then why don't you all stop being lenient and /force/ it out?
  201. Athena Lachlyn: oh good. someone else didn't know
  202. Lucius Volusenna: The lodestones provide valuable services. The water, earth, and fire stones notably help with the growth of crops.
  203. Vivica Loirdne: We can repair damages.
  204. Lucius Volusenna: The firestone also allows the forge to be one of the most powerful in Valmasia. Me using it in tandem with the lodestone allows some of the most powerful creations on the continent.
  205. Zain Rainfold Azar: We can repair buildings, but not lives.
  206. Zain Rainfold Azar: The dragon will be nearly uncontrollable.
  207. Marina Seraph Azar: Its as simple as evacuating.
  208. Marina Seraph Azar: Get all the people out
  209. Marina Seraph Azar: Clear the dragon out
  210. Vivica Loirdne: So, Zain, we leave it here to continue causing trouble?
  211. Marina Seraph Azar: Fight it, repair budlings later.
  212. Zain Rainfold Azar: <Sighs> Don't act like I want that now.
  213. Lucius Volusenna: Moresp then that. Do we have any other earth magi here?
  214. Vivica Loirdne: Then we have to do what's right and force it out of Cinderfall.
  215. Marina Seraph Azar: Sirus's son.
  216. Vivica Loirdne: Brenton.
  217. Lucius Volusenna: Is he here?
  218. Aidan Azar: I can use earth magic!
  219. Lucius Volusenna: And how strong are you?
  220. Vivica Loirdne: He's around Cinderfall, yes.
  221. Marina Seraph Azar: Aidan. You are not staying if we fight.
  222. Aidan Azar: Why not mom?
  223. Achyles Azar: We can repair the damages. And what you mean crops. We have a storm mage here that can harness the very valuable things such as crops. She's got her own Climate. She's also my awesome Sister.
  224. Marina Seraph Azar: Cause you are a child and I will not endanger you.
  225. Aidan Azar: I'm strong Mister!
  226. A single eye slits open and eyes Lucius, then the smoke of the forge. In mere moments the dragon lifts a claw and lays it upon the fragmented lodestone. Heat permeates and the dragon breathes flames into the stone itself, causing several fragments to fuse into larger ones.
  227.
  228. As they debate, it lurches over and billows flames down into the forges chimney, and heat noticeably thrums from the smithy. Without hesitation, it returns to it's idle position, remaining awake as they openly discuss their plans.
  229. (Mungronaar)
  230. Aidan Azar: <*He looks at his mother*>
  231. Marina Seraph Azar: I can see about fetching Brenton....
  232. Aidan Azar: But mom.
  233. Athena Lachlyn: This one can move himself right Ms.Marina ?
  234. Aidan Azar: I'm getting stronger.
  235. Marina Seraph Azar: Aidan.
  236. Marina Seraph Azar: You're thirteen.
  237. Marina Seraph Azar: You are not fighting a dragon.
  238. Aidan Azar: Dad was stronger than me at my age.
  239. Aidan Azar: I wanna catch up to him!
  240. Sirus Blackmane: <*Blinks at Mungronaar*>
  241. Sirus Blackmane: Wait...
  242. Vivica Loirdne: Yes, I'm able to provide storms to aid the crops, I've been doing it since I've been able to wield the power of storms.
  243. Marina Seraph Azar: Dad also did very stupud things as a kid and is not a good role model of chidlhood.
  244. Achyles Azar: Not like he'd be fithing alone mom. I say let him fight.
  245. Achyles Azar: I'll look out for him.
  246. Marina Seraph Azar: No.
  247. Marina Seraph Azar: Simple.
  248. Sirus Blackmane: It seems like th'Dragon wanted to provide a solution.
  249. Aidan Azar: I'm strong mom.
  250. Achyles Azar: Well I tried Bro.
  251. Aidan Azar: I can do it I-I promise!
  252. Sirus Blackmane: It wants to keep th'stone yet it blew its own fire into the forge?
  253. Aidan Azar: I won't get hurt!
  254. Marina Seraph Azar: It.
  255. Aidan Azar: E-even if I do I can heal myself.
  256. Marina Seraph Azar: Doesnt not matter.
  257. Achyles Azar: Firekeeper. It blew it's own fire into the forge?
  258. Aidan Azar: It does.
  259. Marina Seraph Azar: Only a few of us need to stay.
  260. Achyles Azar: There has to be a reason this dragon all of a sudden wants this lodestone.
  261. Aidan Azar: I wanna get stronger and help protect our home!
  262. Marina Seraph Azar: You have a much more important task if we choose to evacuate.
  263. Aidan Azar: H-huh?
  264. Marina Seraph Azar: Its a dragon Achyles they are greedy.
  265. Achyles Azar: Who does it know? Who told it about the stone? There are more important questions. It's no secret there have been Dragons in the past here. But, honestly I think we need to dig deeper.
  266. Marina Seraph Azar: <*Looks at Aidan*>
  267. Marina Seraph Azar: Protecting people.
  268. Vivica Loirdne: So, what's the decision?
  269. Sirus Blackmane: Honestly... I say we force it out.
  270. Marina Seraph Azar: Then let's.
  271. Vivica Loirdne: Force it out?
  272. Vivica Loirdne: Yes--
  273. Achyles Azar: Well Leader spoke. Fucking aye.
  274. Aidan Azar: Please mom.
  275. Aidan Azar: Can I fight.
  276. Sirus Blackmane: We're not goin' to outright kill it.
  277. Marina Seraph Azar: I will aid In evcatuing and send Brenton to help on the earth stuff.
  278. Sirus Blackmane: Just force it out.
  279. Vivica Loirdne: No killing, just get it out.
  280. Athena Lachlyn: <*looks at the others and then to the dragon*>
  281. Achyles Azar: *Tossess his Mug after he finishes his ale. Knowing there going to fight.*
  282. Aidan Azar: <*He tugs on his mother's cloak*>
  283. Zain Rainfold Azar: <"H-How can I fight.. With the mana I have left...">
  284. Lucius Volusenna: Before we do. Allow me to state a solution to minimize damages.
  285. Achyles Azar: Little brother, listen to your mother. Your time to defend the home isn't exactly now.
  286. Sirus Blackmane: <*Looks at Zain*> I'm sorry buddy but you have to muster up.
  287. Aidan Azar: <*He frowns*>
  288. Marina Seraph Azar: Zain should go help to he can't fight...
  289. Aidan Azar: I wanna help.
  290. Lucius Volusenna: It's simple. I'll set up a wall, and maintain it. You all, and I do mean all who can fight, will handle the dragon.
  291. Zain Rainfold Azar: <*Didnt actually say any fucking words>
  292. Marina Seraph Azar: You can help by saving lives Aidan.
  293. Aidan Azar: I'm gonna be the firekeeper when I get older so I'll-
  294. Aidan Azar: Right.
  295. Aidan Azar: The people come first.
  296. Achyles Azar: *Stares at the old blacksmith.* Sounds like a solid plan.
  297. Aidan Azar: <*He puts his head down*>
  298. Marina Seraph Azar: Correct.
  299. Achyles Azar: *slowly walks over to his little brother*
  300. Aidan Azar: So what do I need to do?
  301. Zain Rainfold Azar: <Stilll standing before the dragon>
  302. Aidan Azar: <*He lifts his head up*>
  303. Zain Rainfold Azar: So then...
  304. Zain Rainfold Azar: Who stays with me to fight?
  305. Marina Seraph Azar: Get as many people as you can out of here, Athena can assist along with Eris. And myself, I will see about sending Brenton this way for Lucius.
  306. Zain Rainfold Azar: <*Looking at Vivica and Sirus*>
  307. Achyles Azar: I finshed my ale, im looking for a good scrap ledge.!
  308. Aidan Azar: If you don't then I'll beat you myself big bro!
  309. The claw upon the stone clenches in obvious disapproval, the forge quite visibly dims and the fragments begin to unfuse. Details unraveling as they pay little heed to the finest of goings on. Minuteness cast aside.
  310.
  311. It looked annoyed more than anything.
  312.
  313. Mungronaar's eyes narrowed and the lodestone is lifted, and then slammed back down, staking it into the ground.
  314.
  315. "You selfish humans.. I offer a flame second to none for this treasure.. I offer my power.. to horde my treasures within this land... and you foolishly decline.. truly your kind has much to learn.. so naive.."
  316. (Mungronaar)
  317. Aidan Azar: <*He holds out his fist for a fistbump*>
  318. Athena Lachlyn: Mhmm. Good look with the big dragon guy.
  319. Achyles Azar: *Holds up fist for a bump* C'mon, its me. We'll get a hog later sound good.
  320. Zain Rainfold Azar: We all need to move, fast...!
  321. Aidan Azar: Yeah <*He bumps fists with his brother*>
  322. Mungronaar: <if a dragon could look frustrated, that would be how Mungronaar looks>
  323. Achyles after speaking to his Brother walked over and joined the others. Listening to Zain they had to move quickly. Achyles gripped Serpentsbreathe and twirled it around fancily. Smiling on his face as he was about to fight one of natures mightiest beasts.
  324.
  325. Oh what a marvelous day. Looking over to his Sister and then the Firekeeper. Figuring they would be fighting as well. Achyles wasn't about to let them have all the fun.
  326.
  327. "Welp, lets get this over with family."
  328. (Achyles Azar)
  329. And just like that orders were given. Achyles would stay will she took Aidan and got as many people as she could out of there and probably into the caves or somewhere else. Like the commander she is Marina would clam the watching people down as the lodestone is slammed into the ground. Calm voice helping to calm them all down, soon simple soldiers would begin to gather, helping her to gather many people.
  330.
  331. Doors were knocked on and people gathered to flee. Hundreds starting to be caroled out, her son Aidan by her side if he took orders well. The people did come first after all. Much as Marina wanted to stay and fight she knew this, and as the Firekeepers right hand she was the next best to lead the charge out of the city.
  332.
  333. Last minute stragglers gather long, guards prepping emergency supplies as they could. The frightened people under her command, and like that amongst the distractions of the looming fight Marina exits the village, the large population following behind her, at least a few thousands carried by the guards she had gathered. Hopefully at least. As many people as she could muster in the short time they had.
  334.
  335. Now only if she could find Brenton for Lucius.
  336.
  337. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  338. Mungronaar: <*He eyes Zain in particular, a hint of what could be considered sadness and anger melded together lingering in the beasts gaze*>
  339. Dragontongue. It couldn't be understood. With Zain no longer fullshifted, there was no way of knowing what the dragon spoke in a sudden fit of anger. It's aggressive growls were enough to display it's ire towards the decision made.
  340.
  341. "Niall, get ready." She spoke towards the little elemental. Even if it didn't understand her, the woman's sudden burst of power would display her readiness for battle.
  342.
  343. Lightning flowed between the two bodies. From the elemental and to Vivica and vice versa. The very first battle Niall would be in. To experience, learn, and grow stronger at its summoner's side. Vivica's.
  344.
  345. Again the woman ascends into the air on her cloud that remained. Winds that she manipulated before began to twist and rise around her form. Heat and cold air mixed together, creating a mist like appearance around her with lightning conducting throughout its mass.
  346.
  347. "You'll be leaving now, dragon." Rain continued to pour overhead. Shards of Ice began to rise in the air around the woman's body. Deadly and visibly present. The atmosphere was growing to be a suffocating cold and within the twisters, it was humid and hot.
  348.
  349. Assuming Niall could feel the very powers the woman's prowess contained, she was showing off all of it, prepared to fight. "Learn, experience, and grow, Niall."
  350. (Vivica Loirdne)
  351.
  352. As it turns out Brenton did not need to be found. The commotion drew him. Watching people pour out of the caves he had to wonder what he fuck was going on. And so he turned to town to see…the frantic nature of what was going on. It seemed they were getting ready to force the dragon from easier out. Really? Right in the middle of town.
  353.
  354. The red-haired male takes a deep breath before moving over to his dad and standing there, ever calm in the face of such danger. NO words are spoken. He would defend his home even if he had no real idea of what was going on.
  355.
  356. His sword would be drawn as he awaited some type of actual instruction though. Holyfire wrapping around his body. Just the singular element for now, he didn't draw upon anything else for the moment. Only resolving to do so if things got serious fast.
  357.
  358. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  359. "Sorry mom! I'll catch you when we get everyone out. It will be quicker that way."
  360. The child begins a full sprint away from the area and his mother flapping his wings until he began to fly away. Even through all of this, his signature smile was beginning to cover his face once more. He had lives to save and that's what he planned on doing.
  361.
  362. Flapping could be heard from anyone close enough as he knocked on doors and talked to people gathering small groups at a time and taking them out to join his mother's group. No matter how he worded it everyone was still freaked out by his words. I mean who wouldn't be now that they had to leave because something was threatening their home.
  363.
  364. Aidan was frightened, to say the least. His wings shaking so much that he was barely able to keep up in that state. Calmly talking to everyone he could and sending them to join up with his mother. He still smiled no matter what he had to show the people that everything would be alright in the end. Once joined back with his mother shaking terribly. He was ready for any punishment she could muster but knowing everyone or most of the people of the city were out was enough for him.
  365. (Aidan Azar)
  366. Seeing as how the group of Eternal Flame members have agreed to chase this dragon off, Sirus unsheathed his greatsword and held it out in an offensive stance. Even at 50 years of age Sirus was willing to fight for the defense of Cinderfall. "Dragons... I've met plenty in my lifetime but this one in particular is th'most greedy one I've seen yet. We've killed dragons before and we will do so again!"
  367.
  368. Sirus held his Greatsword up to the sky until Fire and Wind began to dance around it with an elegant grace to it. The two elements wrapped around Sirus' metallic arm until it practically engulfed his whole body. The legendary technique of Uriel Melym was put on display for the rest of Cinderfall and the dragon to see.
  369.
  370. "Eternal Flame! As the Firekeeper, I order you all to chase out this Dragon! However, do not kill it! We simply want to drive it away from our lands!"
  371. (Sirus Blackmane)
  372. Lucius had offered the dragons an alternative. But, from what he had heard from Zain, and the dragons own actions, it seemed it was no longer practical to try being civil with the dragon. Lucius was easily one of the most fair in the city. But with the destruction of buildings, the potential loss of the lodestone, of which dragon fire was only a poor substitute when used in tandem with his own power, and the potential danger of people, well, the last straw had been reached.
  373.
  374. Lucius would calmly walk over to the earth lodestone, and with a little help from it, a dome would form over the area. Blocking the dragon from destroying anymore buildings. This would keep Lucius out of the fight, in order to maintain it. But it would keep it safe enough for the others to fight without fear of further structural damage.
  375.
  376. "On my order! Battle formations! Those who use fire, maintain your distance! Anyone who uses water, use it to put out the fires before they spread and scorch what land is still around. Anyone else, keep the dragon grounded! This dome is high enough, but don't let it fly!"
  377.
  378. Orders were barked out. There were quite a few people. And thusly, organization was needed.
  379. (Lucius Volusenna)
  380. Achyles Azar: *Raises his hand as the wind stirs up!* Im striking it with heavy shots from Serpentsbreathe.
  381. As they all prepared for their heroic defense, Mungronaar did little more than let loose a disapproving roar that was on par with sound magic, violently shaking the foundation upon which they stood. Primal fear wells up within the hearts of all of them. An obstacle for them to overcome, defy their instincts and face this nearly god-like predator's wrath.
  382.
  383. "Know it is you who disturbed the peace, not I. For you will strike first. Fools!"
  384.
  385. The dragon was clearly displeased and intent on remaining in this spot. Should damage occur it would be out of self defense only at this point, Zain having explained that he had damaged their home unintentionally.
  386.
  387. Flames rested within it's maw, pluming from it's snout, yet it did not attack, it simply protected the lodestone, wings shielding the area.
  388. (Mungronaar)
  389. Vivica Loirdne: <*fuck you I fear nothing*>
  390. Orders were given, a dome raised. This was really happening. The young male sighs. Might as well make use of it well he could. He still had no idea what was going on really but this dragon needed pushed out and he had been ordered. The heroes crest on his shoulder did not allow him to defy that. Taking a deep breath Brenton calms his mind as he once more allows multiple emotions to flood his boy.
  391.
  392. Reaching out Brenton would search for the energy of the lodestones, this time connecting with the lightning stone. He did not have time to touch it but like he had done with the earth stone earlier he feels the stone accepting him and allowing its power into him.
  393.
  394. Taking another breath Brenton allows anger, excitement, determination, and hope fill him. When he opens his eyes both his pupils glow a deep vibrant red. He feels the flood of power he had when he fought Vivica last. The Holyfire wrapped around his body growing hotter and stronger as he faced the dragon down.
  395.
  396. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  397. Achyles Azar: Wait really you could?*
  398. In strange fashion, Mungronaar stood his ground, protecting the lodestone from all damage as they unleashed their full powers upon the beast. And yet he stood still and rather than blasting randomly he expertly clashed breath with spell.
  399.
  400. His eyes narrowed, enduring pain as magic slowly managed to work through his scaled hide.
  401.
  402. Wings blasted magic blasts away into the distance at the dragon's behest, yet the lodestone remained undamaged. As if he were coveting the item. Though it was clear it was not going to actually destroy everything purposefully. Perhaps Zain misunderstood?
  403.
  404. It was hard to tell.
  405. (Mungronaar)
  406. It was clear the dragon's intentions for protecting this unique item in Cinderfall was clear. Yet, the orders were to drive out the dragon, therefore Vivica and Niall worked their magic to buffet the dragon, yet it still didn't budge.
  407.
  408. Lightning cracked down into the earth around the drake, winds worked there way under scales along with water magic, creeping in, dealing damage to its bare skin underneath, but still nothing.
  409.
  410. Vivica and Niall floated back and away, observing the drake's behavior. It had a desire for this object. The fire Lodestone. It's attraction towards the object was at large, but what would the others think?
  411. (Vivica Loirdne)
  412. Lucius would watch the pitiful excuse of a battle. The dragon held fast over the lodestone, merely clashing the spells with his breath. It was really pitiful. And, Lucius couldn't stand back and let that happen. A wall of stone would raise between the combatants of Cinderfall and the dragon. Long enough to give the other time to rest and cool down. At this point he felt like he was watching over children.
  413.
  414. "Zain! I believe you might have misjudged this dragon. We're going to need your services one more time. And this time you will ask my questions."
  415.
  416. His weapon would raise towards the other, signalling to stop their assault. A nod would be turned towards the dragon, as well as a bow to forgive for the misunderstanding. An enemy who wasn't willing to fight was no enemy at all, after all.
  417.
  418. "And you. You might not be able to speak to us, but I've the feeling you can understand us at least. So, if he translates something wrong please, do something to make us aware of this. Preferably something that is not destructive."
  419. (Lucius Volusenna)
  420. Zain Rainfold Azar: You... can't expect me to do it a third time..
  421. Lucius Volusenna: I do, because it seems you made a mistake.
  422. Lucius Volusenna: And in this case, that mistake could have cost this dragon their life.
  423. Zain Rainfold Azar: Right, so it's my fault a prideful dragon is dying...
  424. Lucius Volusenna: Thusly, as you are the only one capable of communication, and were the one that caused this situation, I expect you to clean it up.
  425. Lucius Volusenna: You're all prideful. The difference is that this one doesn't walk on two legs.
  426. Zain Rainfold Azar: Lucuis. I don't even think I CAN shift again.
  427. Sirus Blackmane: Zain has done so twice, Lucius.
  428. Sirus Blackmane: A third shifting could be near-fatal.
  429. Lucius Volusenna: Then figure something out.
  430. Sirus Blackmane: Well I don't speak Draconic!
  431. Zain Rainfold Azar: Where the hell is my brother when you need him...
  432. Achyles Azar: *Twirls Serpentsbreathe and places it back on his back.* So, we hold off for now it seems.
  433. Achyles Azar: If worst comes to worst, we wait a few days... let it lay on the stone? If Uncle can't shift again. We wait till he can again.
  434. Wings slammed outwards, clearing the debris kicked up and then the dragon lurched forwards, breathing flame into the lodestone. It began to merge together, forming one singular stone due to the heat of the breath, intense heat flowing out and permeating the town.
  435.
  436. The lodestone began to glow, and it turned to the forge.
  437.
  438. The roof of the smithy of unceremoniously torn off and the forge lifted, contents dumped out like clutter and dust before flames too bright to look at directly are breathed into the forge, molten coals bubbling as it is placed back within the roofless forge. A roof was not that devastating a trade for a forge that never went out.
  439.
  440. It's eyes locked onto Lucius, and it grumbled, still very annoyed. Thankfully it was only slightly worse for wear after the small clash.
  441. (Mungronaar)
  442. The battle wages but soon they are interrupted by the stupid ghost. Brenton is almost tempted to use his own magic to pull the earth wall down and finish the fight. He did not care if they misjudged the thing or not. It had already destroyed buildings and the very earth at their feet, rather it was on purpose or not did not matter. The fact of the matter was they could not let the blasted thing build a nest in the middle of the Kraus damn city. Let alone allow it to think that his Aunts work belonged to him.
  443.
  444. Brenton allows his Holyfire to fade though. In fighting was not needed. Plus, with his father there he did want to go too far. He needed to display he was getting better at this, controlling his emotions. He was far too smart for the rage spells he had been having before left two years ago.
  445.
  446.
  447. No words are spoken by the boy, he allows the emotions to flood from him, leaving him with just curiosity. Though his magics are dispelled his sword is still held at the ready. If anything went wrong he would jump right back into the fray, negotiations. made or not, he was not allowing the beast to live in the middle of the city with people in direct danger, and he was not going to take the lodestone.
  448.
  449. Even if it ended up defying an order that might be given, the male was prepared to fight for it.
  450.
  451. (Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel)
  452. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: See this is the issue, its destroying things..even if it seems to want to..it cannot stay here.
  453. Achyles Azar: I could use another Ale honestly.
  454. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: I might join you on that...and I don't drink.
  455. Sirus Blackmane: It tore off your roof, Lucius.
  456. Mungronaar: <the lodestone spins, no longer numerous fragments, but a one singular flaming stone>
  457. Sirus Blackmane: <*Sighs heavily*> If what Lucius says is true then I mean...
  458. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: <*Blinks, the red glow fading from his eyes*>
  459. Sirus Blackmane: <*Blinks at the stone*>
  460. Lucius Volusenna: And it breathed fire into it before. The forge has survived worse.
  461. Zain Rainfold Azar: I don't know how soon I can shift...
  462. Zain Rainfold Azar: A day, at least...
  463. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Dad. It is causing damage.
  464. Achyles Azar: Man up Uncle. Gotta find a way.
  465. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Who knows how long till someone dies?
  466. Achyles Azar: Otherwise it's gonna tear shit up.
  467. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: If even b accident.
  468. Zain Rainfold Azar: The body only has so much mana.
  469. Sirus Blackmane: Cinderfall is in a state of evacuation at the moment, son.
  470. Achyles Azar: Want some tea or somethint to speed up the process?
  471. Sirus Blackmane: Nobody's goin' to die.
  472. Zain Rainfold Azar: Shifting twice in a short span of time is already harmfuil enough..
  473. Sirus Blackmane: However...
  474. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: We can't.
  475. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Keep peopel out of their homes.
  476. Achyles Azar: Well don't die uncle. If you die. Who will pick on me.
  477. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: For an unknown period.
  478. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: To satisfy the pride of a beast.
  479. Sirus Blackmane: <*Looks up at Mungronaar*> Hey! Dragon! You can understand my words, aye?
  480. Vivica Loirdne: <*lowers herself to the ground - panting very heavily*>
  481. Mungronaar: <*The dragon shakes it's head like an annoyed old man*>
  482. Achyles Azar: You tired Sister?
  483. Vivica Loirdne: Hah.. ya.
  484. Sirus Blackmane: Alright. Few of us are at a divide here. We can't understand you and if we did misunderstand you, we want things cleared up.
  485. Achyles Azar: Well I can see why.
  486. Sirus Blackmane: Are you fine with waiting till tomorrow so Zain can full-shift to talk to you once more? Ryujin's blessed can't full-shift all the time without harmful side effects!
  487. Vivica Loirdne: <*drops herself on her knees to sit on the ground afterward, even if it is soaked from the rain*>
  488. Achyles Azar: *Walks over and stands near Vivi*
  489. Sirus Blackmane: You may stay here with the Lodestone for the night but just for this night until we get more details.
  490. Sirus Blackmane: Is that fair, dragon?
  491. Vivica Loirdne: What an experience, huh, Niall? <*allows the elemental to go back home*>
  492. Achyles Azar: Who are you talking to?
  493. Mungronaar: <*He turns towards Zain and reaches out to him, grabbing him and lifting him unharmed. Flames are breathed upon the pureblood yet he does not burn, in fact, he'd feel rejuvinated*>
  494. Sirus Blackmane: <*Blinks*> E-erm...
  495. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: <*Waits for more things to get broken cause of dumbassery*>
  496. Achyles Azar: Seems like this Dragon was misjudged. I feel bad I kicked its' ass.
  497. Vivica Loirdne: The elemental I summoned, Achyles.
  498. Achyles Azar: You summoned...*Blinks*
  499. Achyles Azar whispers: You know Dad could do that too...
  500. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: I still misjudged intentions or not its dumb to let it stay...people are going to lose thier houses.
  501. Vivica Loirdne: Like dad could. <*looks up to him with a tired smile*>
  502. Vivica Loirdne: <*nods her head*>
  503. Vivica Loirdne whispers: I'm aware.
  504. Sirus Blackmane: Houses can be repaired Brenton. Lives cannot.
  505. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: How
  506. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: many houses though dad.
  507. Zain Rainfold Azar: Stealing my phrase...
  508. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: and how many times
  509. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Come on now?.
  510. Mungronaar: <*makes a house out of fire*>
  511. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: If it lives here it will need space.
  512. Achyles Azar whispers: Heh, and your over heere saying you aren't his real daughter.
  513. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: It will keep destroying.
  514. Sirus Blackmane: Brenton, It's fine. We'll figure somethin' out.
  515. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: <*Sighs*>
  516. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Whatever not like I can change your mind.
  517. Achyles Azar: So does this mean the tavern is closed?
  518. Vivica Loirdne whispers: Only adopted, Achyles. <*gives a tired laugh*>
  519. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Kraus damn I wonder Why I even bother. <*Muttering*>
  520. Zain Rainfold Azar: Despite my mana, er.... Mungronaar, was it? My body cannot handle ot again... Not yet.
  521. Achyles Azar whispers: No way. You are blood to me Sister. By now I'd hope you would understand that.
  522. Vivica Loirdne whispers: <*laughs again*> Somewhat, Achyles. Phew.. I've barely slept in weeks.. I'm not feeling so great. I should get home.
  523. Brenton Blackmane-Shateiel: Like, what about when the people come back? <*Crosses his arms*> or do you intend to keep hudnreds of people away for a freaking animal...you know what whatever. <*Sighs again*>
  524. Achyles Azar whispers: sleep well Sister.
  525. Sirus Blackmane: Brenton, stop. You've never dealt with a fullblown dragon before.
  526. Vivica Loirdne: <*nods head*>
  527. Achyles Azar: It's only for a day Cousin.
  528. Sirus Blackmane: Anyways... Dragon. Gather rest. We'll resume talks and clear up miscommunication tomorrow.
  529. Achyles Azar: Tomorrow Uncle can turn into the epicness of nature. Bam, make the old geezer ask him questions. Bet you twenty we be sippin on dragon steel end of the week.
  530. Vivica Loirdne: Gah.. Sirus.. Brenton.. everyone.. I'm going to head home to check on my little brother. I'm quite fatigued myself. <*waves everyone off and leaves unless anyone has anything else to say*>
