  47. United State's Central Intelligence Agency's Middle East Representative, Roger Ferris, is based in Amman, Jordan, and is keeping a watch on a 'safe house' and believes it to be frequented by young Muslim males. He has information that Al Saleem may be behind terrorist attacks, but lacks any evidence to apprehend him or any of his associates. His plan to implicate Dubai-based Architect, Omar Sadiki, not only fails, his Iranian girlfriend, Aisha, gets abducted, and he must decide whether to surrender himself to her abductors to negotiate her release or leave her to their mercy.
  48. Roger Ferris is a CIA operative in the Middle East; Ed Hoffman is his control at Langley. Cynicism is everywhere. In Amman, Roger works with Hani Salaam, Jordan's head of security, whose only dictum is "Don't lie to me." The Americans are in pursuit of a cleric who leads a group placing bombs all over Europe. When Hani rebukes Ed's demand that Jordan allow the Americans to use one of Jordan's double agents, Roger and Ed hatch a plan to bring the cleric to them. The plan is complicated by its being a secret from Hani and by Roger's attraction to a local nurse. Satellites and cell phones, bodies and lies: modern warfare.
  49. Eh, I just don't know what to say about this. It's watchable as a thriller, but not very original or memorable. Ridley Scott's best films remain ALIEN and BLADE RUNNER, both of which are genre pictures (horror and noir, respectively) wrapped in sci-fi trappings. Next in line would probably be THE DUELLISTS, a period picture but one with enough idiosyncrasies to stand out. This just feels like more of what we've seen before. Where's the vision? Well constructed, sure, but nothing that will stick with you. DiCaprio is fine, not much of a performance to comment on, though. Russell Crowe bores me, he just does nothing for me at all. Welp, I've got nothing else to say. It's a movie and I watched it and it was okay, now it's over.
  50. Leo has pretty good movie choices so I have no idea what he was thinking when he agreed to do this one. <br/><br/>Its a lame predictable good guys v bad guys with a random girl thrown in to make a bargain.<br/><br/>It&#39;s lame and I wish I had read some reviews before I watched this. I hate two dimensional movies and absolutely no character development. <br/><br/>I like the atmosphere of the movie but Leo as some CIA spy just doesn&#39;t fly, he&#39;s way to flamboyant and outlandish for this role and does not make it in the least believable. I don&#39;t know what happened here? This is like one of those Steven Segal movies LOL<br/><br/>This was really really bad and a waste of time.<br/><br/>1/10 and 11/10 LAME
  51. A mostly formulaic approach that becomes more disappointing as the yarn unwinds.
  52. Body of Lies is a film adaptation of the 2007 novel by American writer and journalist David Ignatius. Those who have both seen the movie and read the book say that one of the biggest differences between them is that the movie leaves out the Alice and Gretchen characters, makes Roger Ferris (<a href="/name/nm0000138/">Leonardo DiCaprio</a>) single, and gives him a love interest in the form of a Middle Eastern woman named Aisha (<a href="/name/nm0267042/">Golshifteh Farahani</a>). For the size of the squad and the length of time required to pull off the operation, Hani (<a href="/name/nm0835016/">Mark Strong</a>) needed to be sure about where the terrorist would be. The mole could tell him he&#39;d be here or there at a given time, but then five minutes later they would go somewhere else. But with Ferris (<a href="/name/nm0000138/">Leonardo DiCaprio</a>) as bait, Hani could anticipate and prepare for a perfect takedown. Also, Hani was hoping that using Ferris would lure the big bait, Al Saleem (<a href="/name/nm0009530/">Alon Aboutboul</a>), out of hiding Washington DC stood in for Amsterdam and Baltimore, and Maryland stood in for Manchester. Yes, there is an excerpt from a new track called &quot; If the World&quot; that plays over the beginning of the end credits (otherwise known as the end titles). It is listed in the song credits in the film, but does not appear on the soundtrack. He dies. No doubt about it. In the car scene where Ferris and Bassam are making a getaway, the terrorists fire a RPG at their car. The American helicopters then kill the terrorists. As they pull Ferris from the wreckage, he frantically screams for Bassam. The Army medics tell Ferris that they can&#39;t even remove Bassam from the car as he &quot;is in pieces.&quot; In the hospital, the medic mentions that he is pulling bone splinters out of Ferris&#39; skin, but not from Ferris&#39; own bone, thus implying they were Bassam&#39;s. As he recouperates in Qatar, Ferris asks Hoffman what he plans to do for Bassam&#39;s family. Hoffman replies by saying, &quot;I didn&#39;t know the man&quot;. a5c7b9f00b
