Role: She is currently working as a police officer at the Arcadia Bay Police department and is still following up in the case regarding the Rachel Amber disappearance.

Personality: Esmeralda is ones those officers who is although very caring amongst, others, she does take her job very seriously. This officer does have a sharp tongue, if dealing with any criminals, especially if it's the most dangerous ones. She could use her weapons if necessary and being in meetings, she could at least pay attention and learn about the cases that do go on in Arcadia Bay, Oregon. Sometimes, she could have a coffee once in a while if feeling stressed or just craving for one. She does manage to be a very independent woman when working in the force, or when working with other officers. While being an officer herself, she does have determination to find Rachel, right after hearing about her disappearance. When being on break as an officer, she does like to shop once in a while for herself, and to sometimes take care of herself. She could sometimes be sassy to her advantage to take care of criminals.

History: Esmeralda did live in another part of America before moving to Arcadia Bay, and that was New York. Over there, she did grow up as an only child and she mainly learned from her parents on how to do things right from wrong. Her father was an officer in the police force, so, she did like to hear his stories on how he fought the dastardly criminals and she did learn that from his stories, there were negatives and positives on being an officer. She did hear that the positives were saving all sorts of people in the city, but the negatives were being in dangerous situations just like being attacked by criminals. She then heard from him that there were officers getting shot but decided to take the risk by trying it in the future. Once she reached her teens during middle school and high school, she did watch crime fighting shows and studied by reading books on becoming an officer and even reading up on the psychology of criminals. Although people thought of her being boring by reading books all day, she mainly ignored them and continued with her studies. During her college semester, she majored in police force and criminology and got a degree. After getting her degree, she started to get her police training for at least a couple of months. After going through her training, she interned in her state and started to look for a job. She looked on her laptop and she did find a job opening in Arcadia, Oregon. She read about the police force and thought about a police woman over in that area. So, about a year later, she moved to Oregon and got interviewed by the chief of police and while being interviewed, she learned about the disappearance of Rachel Amber and thought of using determination of finding her while being at her new job.
