Episode 14: The truth between Alexis and Jalen.

They sat in the kitchen, drinking some Kool-Aid grape after Jalen poured some out for them and sat in the silence, neither one unsure on how to begin.
"...."

Eventually after about 5 mins of sitting down, Jalen sighs and sip his cup and place it on the table. "So...Where do you wanna begin?" Alex roll her shoulders, unsure of what to say here. "I dunno...how about you pick a question?." Seeing as they wouldn't get anywhere, Jalen decide to start with the most obvious one. "Ok...So who are you?"

Alexis sighs and crosses her arms. "Before I begin, understand that while you may not believe me...everything I say is factual truth." Seeing that Jalen's staying silent, she continues. "...Well...First off, Do you know this birthmark?" She stands up and turn around to lower her jacket from her shoulder, where Jalen can see a birthmark resembling a comet on fire.  "Wait...." Jalen stand up and lower his own jacket to see his birthmark being the same and raise it back up and point at her with a frown."That's....are you...a relative of mines?"

"...Yes..." She sit back down with a solemn look..

"...I am.." She shakes her head and breath in, preparing herself for this moment. "I am..." She look up at him with a determined look. "I am Alexis Crane Branwen...Your daughter from the war-torn future.."Sounds of the water dripping from the faucet rings out as Jalen absorb all of this with a thoughtful look. "....I can't say I don't believe you...cause a part of me do.." Alexis look up with an amazed look, she wasn't expecting Jalen to believe her, much less trust her.. "We're similar in terms of personality and have the same clothing taste..."

"(I....well, his logic ISN'T that bad...)" She muses over this as Jalen continues "And you're apparently willing to put up with me despite my...less than stellar traits." "So you noticed that, huh?" She giggles and smirk at him as he tips his hat, briefly smiling. "Well, I ain't no saint...but the fact that I was able to warm up to you made think ponder whether you were a cousin or sister of mines..." Rubbing his chin, he concludes his theory."But to think you're my own daughter...from the bad future it seems."

"....It was terrible, father.." "(Being called father now that I know why doesn't sound too bad...)"
Jalen lets Alexis continue her story.. "In many years from now, there will be a great war that get all 3 nations into fighting one another...Archanea, Nohr, and Hoshido..."

"......"Alexis sees Jalen is paying much more attention.. "Nohr and Hoshido hates one another, as you know...due to their different culture where Nohr operates solely on social darwinism. Take what you believe is yours from the weak, only you can depend on yourself...despite this, they are lead by a family called the Kalmtes who are the strongest family in all of Nohr, lead by Garon Kalmte at this point before his untimely death where Xander Kalmte takes the reigns."

"Hoshido is lead by the Mitsuragis with Sumeragi and Mikodo as the ruling leaders...they have a much more religious culture, often spending 2 hours per day to pray to their god, Yhwach, for everything. They have an extremely rough police system that constraint the rights of the commoners, and yet none of the civilians see anything wrong with this. Nay, they adore being controlled like this, leaving all of their worries to their god.."

"...They sound so different.." Jalen mutters as she nods. "They do, yes...and yet they couldn't find no way to work together.."

"Tension between never gotten better throughout the years, culmination in a Regional Rumble where they send the 5 reps of D-S and do battle in an arena...That ended in a tie between the 2 kings and neither side was willing to relent..Now, mind you, this was held in Vizley, the capital of Hoshido so the Nohrians was in a lot of bad grounds...Nevertheless, Garon decided to be a extremely petty asshole and send one of his finest assassins to kill one of the royals of Hoshido. The original plan was to sneak in and poison their food...but along the way there, the assassin came across a Hoshidian and the two of them killed one another."

"..Wow, that assassin sucked ass.." Jalen snarks...which Alexis shakes her head.  "No father, more like he met an assassin from Hoshido who were on his way to do the same to King Garon." "...oh.." Oh was the right word for this shocking turn of events.. "Naturally, news of this didn't reach out to the public until 2 weeks after Nohr left. Sumeragi demanded that Garon pays dearly for this act, as Garon demanded the same...neither side relented until eventually they went to war.."

".......Well, how does Archanea fits into all of this?" Jalen ponders as Alexis continues her lengthy story.. "Both nations wanted to use the region as a base of operations..King Hector of course denied them both and went to war with both of them, creating a 3-way war."

"...." "However..understand that this is the timeline where we didn't killed King Shiden so earlier...so Archanea was JUST getting off from their worst economic crash and weaken monsters." Jalen whistles.. "Well, that sucks..."

"Not all was bad for us before we lost...We had Prince Chrom and Raphael, Cordelia and Hera, Edelgard and Rhiannon with Aymr...and many others..." She crosses her arms and smirks "But no one...no one was as feared as you, Father."

"...Huh..for real?"

"Yes...thanks to your prowess as well as your Maximum Tomatoes, Marth was pretty much a one-monster army that can kill 1000 people and monsters by himself.." She grimly notes as Jalen pales a bit.. "...I was that desperate to use those in war..." "You felt as if you had no choice..."

"...I see..." He look down with a frown, not enjoying what he's hearing..

"...Mother was on the Nohrian side..." She mutters... "...You're part Nohrian?" He raised an eyebrow at this, surprised.. "Heh..I hide my accent from everyone here..." She clears her throat before speaking again in a thicker accent that would turn Jalen a lot more if this wasn't his own daughter. "This..is how I normally sound like, father..." And then clear her throat to speak with a lighter tone and smirks. "Impressive?"

"....I'll say.."
"Right...Mother's name is Regina Raven Branwen..." She pulls two pictures from her pocket and slide them on the table. One was a normal picture of a black long haired and pale lady with red eyes and a smirk on her face. The other one was quite clearly her showing off her backside and ass with a pose that reminded Jalen of a certain manga/anime that's where he got his clothing sense from, JJBA. Behind her is a Haztak in a similar pose. "...I see she's a huge fan of DIO..." "She adored JJBA as much as you do, and almost wanted to name me Elizabeth or Jolyne before you told her to name me with a normal name much to her annoyance..."

"....Well, when you have two weebish parents...I suppose one of us gotta be the minder of the other." They both chuckles at the joke..

"...So how did we get together...me and Regina?" Jalen ask her as she sighs...

"...You two fought with your monsters for a long period of time. Understand that with the exception of Prince Xander and King Garon, Mother was the only one who ever could train her monster, Condora, to keep up with Marth. Sometimes, when she and Marth fought, all three sides would stop whatever they were doing and watch. People said it was like watching battle in it's purest form.." Jalen leans back in his chair as he hear all of this. "However, one of the Nohrian's soldiers had their Golem used Earthquake towards your general direction. This battle took place on a big island, so this send both you and Mom along with your monsters to the cliffs below..."
"...."

Jalen continues to listen to her tale. "You guys spent those 3 weeks down there fighting with one another before you told her that it's probably best to work together and not kill one another...Mother never told me why she listened to you, but I suspect that back then, her hubris wouldn't allow her to admit that she was wrong about you.."

"She was?" Jalen raise an eyebrow to which Alex nods. "You were the boogeyman to Nohr and Hoshido..You had a Flee-On-Sight order from Nohr, Mother told me that she was primarly after you for the glory of killng the so-call "Platinum Star"of Archanea..."


".....She sounds like a glory-hog..." Jalen leans back in his chair with an amused look. Alexis shrugs. "Well, she was always one who take on the best trainers in her vicinity.."

"Anyway...you guys spent a whole month and 2 after fighting and working together...over time, you two became close and then..." She scowls and scratches her facecheek.. "Y'all had sex and conceived me."

".....oh..." He blushes and tilt his hat to hide his eyes. "Uhhh..Must had heard from Regina then huh?" "She told me in every...single...detail of the encounter." She leans forward with a harsh scowl.. "Every...Single..Fucking...Detail.."

Jalen look down with sunken eyes hidden by his hat from Alexis's glare. "Mom is by no mean a terrible and abusive mother...she loves me with all her heart..but she was far from an appropriate mother." Images of Regina drinking beer around a toddler Alex while explaining good and moral things such as sharpening knives, how to haggle merchants, raising monsters..All as she grew up under her mother's wing.

"Well, to be honest..she did all she could to raise you right during war...with 2 countries no less.." Jalen nods at this fact. "She is a good mom..." "Yeah, I never blame her for how things were..." She smiles, missing her mom already. "you guys were able to get off of that isle one by one..first the Nohrian forces lead by Lady Camilla came for Mom. She told you to hide as soon as she saw them riding in on their dragons...And then she had to make sure they wouldn't search the island for you...She got them off and went home, while pregnant with me cause of you. I dunno how you were able to get off the isle, but you were sighted at the next battle we had on Hoshido's shores."

Alexis look at the door and then her watch, "It's getting extremely late, I need to get home now..." She walk towards the door with Jalen following her.. "Here..." She take a paper out and write the address to Cynthia's and Gerome's home on it and hand it to him. "Take this, we all gonna be there tomorrow noon." "We?"

Alexis nods with a smirk..  "The other travelers, of course. You met 2 of them.." She hugs him tight. "..It's nice to finally meet you, Dad.." He enjoy the hug for a moment before hugging her back. "Nice to meet you as well, Alexis.."

She let go and walk off to her motorcycle and drive off with Jalen watching... "....I have a kid..."
He shakes his head with a smile... "Well...Tomorrow, I gotta go to that house...Time to sleep."  And he went upstairs to rest up..
