The Fulcrux of Viravain.
A comforting feeling of privacy pervades the area. Settled within the branches of an ancient and skeletal tree roosts a murder of crows, their voices harsh and deafening as their caws peal through the air. A cracked mirror floats in the air. Black roses glitter from the stems of this thorny bush. A painting of From Clouds to Shadows has been thrown on the ground here, the frame bound by silver webbing. A painting of Sins of the Fly has been thrown on the ground here, the frame bound by silver webbing.
There are no obvious exits.

The wind whistles eerily through the rosebushes.

You have emoted: Bursting into the fulcrux in a panic, Aleyah's wings flicker and flash urgently through an entire rainbow of panicky, pale colours as she circles the rosebush at the center of this holy space. "Dear Mother?" She asks, urgent, close to tears. "Dear Mother, have You truly gone? Mother?" Her voice rises in urgency as she settles atop a garden of ebon roses, bringing trembling fingers up to her face. "Mama? Mama, please don't leave! Mama, please don't abandon us! Please! We need You! We need Your love! We need Your grace! *I* need You...!" Her golden eyes lift skyward, searching the vault overhead. "Please let us fix this. Please come Home."

You think to yourself: What have we done? What have we DONE? What have we done? What have we -.

The wind whistles eerily through the rosebushes.

You have emoted: Tears streaming freely, silently down her cheeks, Aleyah asks of the fulcrux above, "Mama, have we failed You? I don't understand. I don't understand - when I woke, when I last woke, we would give anything for You. Anything You asked, has that changed?" Her voice cracks with a soft whimper of a sob, and her fingers trail over the thorned branches upon which she now sits. "Have I failed to tell Your story...?" She whispers, listless. "Mama, have I failed You...? Please, please tell me how I can make it right. Please tell me how I can make them love You again."

In a hoarse, horrified whisper, you say, "I will MAKE them love You.... They should always love You. How dare they forget."

(Great House Shee-Slaugh): Esei (from a temporal rift) says, "...aunt?"

You have emoted: With an oddly sharp giggle, and a weird, wide-eyed manic smile, Aleyah whispers her promises to the fulcrux, "I will remind them, Mama...." She coos, her gaze growing unfocused, her expression slack. "I will remind them all why we need You, why we can't do without You, why Your love is something we cannot survive without...." Still smiling oddly, she lifts her hand to her damp cheek and cups it, nuzzling absently into the touch as though it were her Lady's. "I'm... a good little Spider." She murmurs, the words affectionate and hollow all at once. "Your Briar-Childe... I love You so much. I'll do anything for You. Anything at all..."

Eerie whispers echo around you from some unknown source, before fading into silence once more.

(Great House Shee-Slaugh): You say, "... It will all be okay. I'm sure She'll come home when we learn to appreciate Her again. I'll find our failing in Her Glomdoring... and I'll rip it out myself."

A soft breeze drifts in, creating a shower of black rose petals that dance upon the wind.

(Great House Shee-Slaugh): Esei says, "...I know."

You have emoted: With an air of uneasy serenity, Aleyah smiles blithely upward, her cheeks still wet with her previous tears. Her hand slowly drops, to play with the sleeves of a diaphanous coat of shimmering, web-like mesh, and a dull, meandering hum breathes itself from her lips.

Esei tells you, "Ah.. hum... whenever you have a moment, I appear to be.. lost, in the family Estate."

Harmony echoes in your mind as you sing to Wyrden Auspice Esei Shee-Slaugh of the Ascending Dusk, "-- Oh! I see. I will find you, Nieph."

With a warm, affectionate giggle, you whisper, "I love You, Mama. I'll see You soon, okay? And I'll tell You all about anything You like."

In a blind, blithely happy daze, you whisper, "Anything at all..."
