- The Husking - evolving disease (like Crimson Curse) that turns heroes into Husks
- How to become Husk: Sky Taint will evolve into Husking - Body.
- Sleeper will inflict Husking - Body
- Trinkets will supplement disease gain, giving benefits to those with the disease, and granting the disease on actions.
- Husking evolution:
- Sky Taint -> Husking - Body
- Husking - Body -> Husking - Mind
- Husking - Mind -> Husked
- Special: Husked -> Sleeper's Exalt
- Speed up evolution through consumption of Shard Dust
- Shard Dust will grant additional effects/buffs if Husk
- Shard Dust will heal stress if Sleeper's Exalt
- How to unlock Sleeper's Exalt: ||triggered by an act out while having the Refracted affliction, while fully Husked.||
- If that doesn't work:
- ||triggered by using Shard Dust 7 times - you will take approximately 240 stress, but the power will be worth it.||
- Husking Removal:
- What I want to do: successful resolve checks (virtues) trigger the disease to devolve, all the way down to Sky Taint. Disease also cannot progress while virtued.
- What I will probably have to do: virtues probably wont work, but I can make the disease not evolve while virtued, I think.
- I will instead probably make a trinket that prevents the disease from evolving, has a chance to devolve the disease, and downsides. Downsides can be removed if virtued, and worsened if afflicted. Disease evolution can also be sped up while afflicted.
- Note that heroes with custom virtues and afflictions (like Flagellant) can still become Refracted. Simply have them "die" in Endless Farmstead, and they will return Refracted. Note that they will also lose certain quirks, such as Twilight Dreamer, any Thing/Prismatic quirks, and other quirks that are removed on "death".
- Husking effects:
- Barks, act outs (positive and negative), interactions with trinkets, afflictions, items
- All stages are incompatible with other diseases (size 3 - meaning you are immune to new diseases, like Crimson Curse does)
- Sky Taint: 11 rounds
- 1 pt/rd Bleed
- 1 pt/rd Blight
- 1 pt/rd Horror
- Husking - Body: 150 rounds
- Description: Husking begins to turn skin into ash, crystalline formations grow in the gut, and your pulse beats to an unknown rhythm - the metamorphosis begins.
