Hacking for Peace

Increasingly the world is looking to hackers to help ensure the cyber landscape is safe, humans flourish and that the truth is accessible for all. The hacking community should share the vision of this technological landscape in service to humanity, not the other way around. This isn’t just about individuals feeling better. We can change the world from the inside out. What kind of world could we create if we built it not from fear, greed, and violence, but from unconditional love, truth, compassion, connection, and peace?

We all explore different visions of the future, and their implications but we can come to model a healthy relationship between humans and technology through hacking. We do all of this in service of human thriving and harmony with each other, our planet, and beyond.

For most citizens who desire world peace the immediate reaction to hacking for peace is likely to be welcomed. While hacking for good may seem counter-intuitive and does raise ethical questions, on the balance of probability, the actions of hacking for peace can and should be beneficial to society at large. With numerous wars, government corruption worldwide and secrecy at an all time high these times call for desperate measures. As we watch organised murder taking place in the name of war in places such as Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq, and Myanmar we know that the hacking movement is here to stay. In my very humble opinion hacking could hold the key to world peace.
