  1. [20:56] A silent glance is taken to the two to the east. No words spoken, and they look back to their boars, firing off shots from their mana rifle.
  2.
  3. Another few boars culled.
  4. (Cosmas)
  5. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  6.
  7. [20:58] The creature moved towards the desert path towards the forest, Moving quickly so he could extert some of the energy he was storing. The essence in the area soon began to pick up as someone came into view.
  8.
  9. Watching as they fired shots with a strange weapon...It looked like a mana rifle but far more advanced than the demon had ever seen. A wondering glance was given towards Irkalla wondering if she knew them.
  10. (Eugo La Ravias)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [20:59] Eugo La Ravias's voice (to Irkalla): King Tyranny was saying something about Osrona being taken over by Barsburg...Perhaps this is one of theres...Never seen anyone carry a weapon like that.
  14. [21:05] Although initially ignored upon arrival, the ascended took to stepping off towards the nearby sakura tree. There, they lingered in the night. Noticing the particular weaponry being made use of.
  15.
  16. "Fancy staff..."
  17.
  18. They called out to the youth, crimson hues illuminating as they continued on. Waving one arm before them in the meanwhile, "Though. I can't say I've seen... Your military before. Reminds me of the authority. Really..."
  19.
  20. And well, after what occurred? It was clear where the lines were drawn between demon-kind and osrona. "Although, maybe you could enlighten me. Child."
  21. (Irkalla)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [21:08] Gun hoisted up, a few more boars lay culled by the infantry using clear Barsburg technology. Powerful and scripted in runes of the technological monstrosity.
  25.
  26. "Gun," he corrects. "Barsburg military," another correction to their words. They had been sent out to patrol, to see what the lands of Esshar could show and so far it seemed very unimpressive compared to their homeland.
  27.
  28. However on mention of enlighten, the grunt says nothing more. Irkalla would have to ask a proper question.. if this teenager was even willing to offer a response.
  29. (Cosmas)
  30. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  31.
  32. [21:10] The soft glow of starlight and the heavy footfalls of boots precluded their arrival. Signe was many things but stealthy and subtle did not rank amongst her qualities.
  33.
  34. She'd heard voices through the trees, near some common hunting grounds. Marching through the forest only to find, a man of an unknown military, a woman with pointed ears, and a creature with a massive hole in its face.
  35.
  36. Barsburg military. The voice hit her ears as she led Waylan and herself to the area, motes of stardust floating around her, hand on her blade.
  37.
  38. "Rather far from home. At least a few of you are. I don't know you woman, but certainly the other two are not welcome here."
  39. (Signe Daman)
  40. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  41.
  42. [21:17] Eugo La Ravias's voice (to Irkalla): Should we take these two? The boy's armies haven't declared war on us but these two? They're indeed apart of Mylenoris
  43. [21:18] The line of questioning for the boy went as well as he expected although he didn't expect the teen to be so forth coming with everything. It seemed Eugo was right in assuming what he expected.
  44.
  45. However his attention was easily taken off the teenager and instead focused on the two who came brambling out of the Treeline. A Drakanite covered in starlight and another man who remained silent for now it seemed.
  46.
  47. "I don't remember asking for your permission to roam where I please." The demon echoed. Needing no facial features to explain its feelings towards them After all in the west they could only be long to one city.
  48.
  49. Life had been hard for demons, Being expelled out of Osrona being abandoned by Theria, It was difficult to survive and yet? No demon showed fear against their foes. They had always lived against the grain of humanity and they would continue to resist them.
  50.
  51. A glance towards Irkalla would give the signal they needed. Before looking back towards the two, Now ignoring the Barsburg boy unless he would interject himself. Occultism surging from his likeness.
  52.
  53. "Show me what you're capable of mortals."
  54.
  55. The demon would say shadows rising from the grounds under the moon light bending towards the demon. As small black particles of Essence drained towards them.
  56.
  57. (Eugo La Ravias)
  58. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  59.
  60. [21:25] Taking in the responses of those present. Upon hearing of Barsburg in esshar? They certainly wanted to know more. A nation known to be driven by technology.
  61.
  62. It all made sense now, as they looked over the, gun.
  63.
  64. "Interesting... Barsburg in Esshar?"
  65.
  66. With a fit of laughter the motion was accompanied with a push off the tree. Examining the introduction of a few more humans. "Oh... It's fine... But you're not wrong. These two are far from home. But like a child to their parent? I guide this one across the island. Ensuring their safety." Waving a hand over to the kaor.
  67.
  68. Maybe it was simply due to the nature of time at the moment. Because as irkalla lifted a lantern up besides their face? The appearance of four horns protruding out back of the woman's head. Would become clearly seen. "Now then... Go on. Show what you're capable of. I'd like to speak with that child over there while my kindred deals with you." And with that said?
  69.
  70. They walked over towards the child. Crimson hues peering closely, examining the attire. "Hm... Barsburg. Tell me? Have you bedridden osrona of those dastard collars made for demons?"
  71. (Irkalla)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [21:28] Waylan took hold of his staff, canting his head to the side slightly; he hadn't seen this demon before. As the one before he thought this one to be dangerous until proven otherwise. It seems the woman didn't want anything to do with them, and the Demon would be their target for the evening.
  75.
  76. His hand placed in front of him and the necklace around his neck began glowing. He was fully covered in a beautiful radiant aura.
  77.
  78. He was prepared for what came next, no words needed to be spoke this seemed like a good battle for Signe. She wanted this for quite sometime though he only would get in her way if he needed to.
  79.
  80. For now he was on high alert.
  81. (Waylan mer Joyau)
  82. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  83.
  84. [21:29] Irkalla says in telepathy, I believe in you, eugo... Prove yourself.
  85. [21:29] Irkalla says in telepathy, Should you be greviously injured? I've an arcanium kit...
  86. [21:30]
  87. {LOAD GAME}
  88.
  89. [21:34] Her eyes looked to the demon. The woman wanted to stand aside for now? Such a risk, for if the demon were defeated she'd be in dangerous territory.
  90.
  91. But first was the demon.
  92.
  93. Winds whipped around her, filling her wings, her feet leaving the ground, hovering slightly above it as the ever present stardust swirled around her.
  94.
  95. The harsh sound of a sword being drawn in a flash of movement, and a grin etched itself onto her features. The rush of battle already filling her blood.
  96.
  97. "Expect no mercy demon. You face Signe Daman, Knight of the First Light and Dragon of the Stars."
  98.
  99. And with that, a blinding rush forward, a whirlwind of steel, scales and stardust.
  100. (Signe Daman)
  101. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  102.
  103. [21:34] Cosmas says, "... Thought the knights were extinct."
  104. [21:38]
  105.
  106. [21:48] {Lost Dangerous RPB against Signe Daman}
  107. [21:48] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  108. [21:48] ** Signe Daman has inflicted an injury upon Eugo La Ravias. ("Temporary Injury", "Temporary Injury", "Temporary", "Duration: Medium (4 days)") **
  109. [21:57] "Honest..."
  110.
  111. They stated, smiling through the wearily drawn expression. Alas, their next question would decide much. Between the defeat of their apprentice and talk of barsburg.
  112.
  113. "However, as one whose surpassed said boundaries of nightmarish imagery... I feel as though. It should, demons who judge demons. Yes? None like seeing slaves. Even, the ones on this island. Mhm... Rather, our intentions are to defy. Gods."
  114.
  115. Whether it mattered to the youth. It spoke up, whether it be lies or the truth? Was entirely up to the child to conceptualize.
  116.
  117. "Regardless... Until next time. Yes? Irkalla… I am sure. If you osrona is still ruled by. Walter? Then... It matters not what barsburg thinks."
  118.
  119. With a, hmph. They turned off. Towards the two. Towards where their kindred was defeated.
  120. (Irkalla)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123. [21:58] The fight with the demon was exactly what she'd been hoping for. Months of pent up aggression and unsuccessful patrols had culminated in a clash of magic. Her blade cutting the air after the misshapen hell spawn as she chased it through the trees.
  124.
  125. It was, perhaps, closer than she would've liked. The occult whispering at her mind and battering against her scales, the always strange affects of time magic fatiguing her. And claws of shadow raking the air. Yet her constant training and unshakeable determination would see her through the fight.
  126.
  127. Yet, it was her off hand that would seal the final blow of this duel, following up an evaded sword slash with a rake of cosmic energy to Eugo's flank, and a kick to push him away, her blade once more at the ready.
  128.
  129. "You were warned demon, now stay still and accept your demise."
  130. (Signe Daman)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [22:03] They hike their shoulder and rise the large, heavy mana rifle up some. To defy gods. That was an interesting take, wasn't it? The corporal remains standing, perhaps pondering on what this ascended demon spoke of.
  134.
  135. "We've already cleared that up," they said, in regards to mention of Walter. Confident even if Irkalla implied Barsburg would be under another's rule.
  136.
  137. "Wonder if she'll get defeated too," they say, returning back to their boar slaughtering.. and only paying an errant glance to the knight battling back the demons.
  138. (Cosmas)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [22:05] A battle between two opposing forces, collided as corrupted time magics distorted the area around them, Powerful blasts of occultism and time magic were flung towards the girl, Firing out at her through runic circles that would appear and disappear at the count point of the demon caster.
  142.
  143. There was still so much the demon had to learn, Combat experience was mostly what he was lacking and in the battle the despite losing the demon seemed very satisfied with its power at its current moment.
  144.
  145. The duel ended with the demon struck down with a blast of Cosmic energy attacking from its flank. Essence gathered around him to protect its flank draining the life force from the trees it seemed a wound had been left behind.
  146.
  147. Yet not enough to cripple the demon to the point where it could not escape. A blast of occult would be echoed through the trees as the demon made its showing clear.
  148.
  149. "Impressive." The demon said returning to Irkalla's side, Seemingly it had no intention of escaping just yet not with out its Mistress...
  150. (Eugo La Ravias)
  151. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  152.
  153. [22:11] With a composed look, almost... Delighted? By the outcome. There was a sense of urgency that arose in the surrounding wildlife. As if coming to understand what destructive nature was coming to flourish within the woods.
  154.
  155. "Well... Well... Well!"
  156.
  157. They yelped, clapping as the pale visage remerged from the shadows, turning back to coyly reach a hand out towards the kaor. Patting them briefly with an acute accuracy of empathy. Years of experience in mimicking humanity.
  158.
  159. "It'll be fine, eugo. You've still much to learn and all your studies thus far have revolved around books. Remember this feeling. Yes? Defeat... Is not the end." Reminded of moment it was sent off in defeat by walter.
  160.
  161. It was eugo who'd reminded them of their own advice.
  162.
  163. "I shall show you... True mastery. So watch closely. And learn." Caring, lovingly. Like a parent to their child, they'd consoled the possible strike at the kaors pride.
  164.
  165. Turning off the heel now to face the two. Spreading open both arms to the side as visceral magics came to life. Breeding an existence that tugged at ones soul. "Come now... Show me... What you've got."
  166. (Irkalla)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [22:16] Waylan could only assume Signe was tired for the encounter, so now was his turn? Something about this felt all too familiar to him.
  170.
  171. It was truly a good thing and a terrifying one at that, it's his turn to battle one of this unholy person. He stepped forwards with his staff at hand, prepared to beat the witch.
  172.
  173. "Sae, this obstacle may be difficult though it becomes easy with time. Together let us travel though this and achieve victory."
  174.
  175. He stepped forward only a few feet away from the witch, glowing with his radiant aura.
  176.
  177. "Prepare yourself."
  178. (Waylan mer Joyau)
  179. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  180.
  181. [22:25] As the initial engagements were had. Silence was sent, cascading across the forest until suddenly the rustling would reveal a creature without perfect shape. A warrior, horned, taller than that of the woman. Fuming with occultism out its nostrils.
  182.
  183. "My assistant here... Shall work you over."
  184.
  185. With a devilish grin, they took to the shadows, delegating all its strength the summoning from Hel'Heim. Watching from afar as the brutish nature was revealed. Charging forward, the warrior had no blade, but hands alone.
  186.
  187. Charging forward with animosity, the blood curdling cries shook the earth as they'd given chase to the mage. However, as much as the woman wanted to hide.
  188.
  189. It wasn't as nearly as possible as they'd wanted it to be. With the cosmos igniting, revealing. Like being caught in the showers, they screeched out. Sending off waves of hel'heims magic in response to the pain it endured.
  190.
  191. But alas, the battle was not yet over. As the Nethradin moved with haste in defense of the ascended. Catching the mage off guard by the collar and tossing them through a tree nearby.
  192.
  193. "T-Thank you... Go... Finish them!"
  194.
  195. Snarling, she moved both hands down the wounds endured thus far. Trying their hardest to heal it all back up.
  196. (Irkalla)
  197. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  198.
  199. [22:27] He was truly out of place it seems as if his skill was completely outmatched. He has that feeling tingling in the back of his mind, that feeling that his mother is truly disappointed with his lack of ability.
  200.
  201. It showed heavily in this bout he was barely able to do much to the woman. She wasn't phased by his attacks, were they not strong enough? Doubt filled his mind, stars whispered faded.
  202.
  203. He felt this next fight would painfully go the same way as the one before it. He felt the occult magic slowly pushing his back with glow away.
  204.
  205. He felt shrouded in darkness.
  206.
  207. "Seems I don't really have much of a choice now."
  208.
  209. Waylan took his staff and prepared to charge her seemingly taking a different approach than before.
  210. (Waylan mer Joyau)
  211. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  212.
  213. [22:36] Engaging the mage with all their might, through the harrowing cosmos hurdled at them. They endured. The Nethradin relinquishing any desires to be burdened by pain. Rather, even as the magic would show its effects.
  214.
  215. Nearly toppling the creature.
  216.
  217. Did the ascended begin infusing it with essence's. Pouring in more power as time went on. Although unstable, seemed to work. Like an animal, the summon threw themselves with reckless in ambitions. Tackling down the mage, baring the difference in strength and magic.
  218.
  219. The collision itself crushed the earth between them.
  220.
  221. It was there the ascended appeared from the shadows to join in. Noticing the fatigue beginning to wear against the human. Unlike demon-kind. They did not tire, they did not rest...
  222.
  223. They simple moved forward, much like a machine.
  224.
  225. "Realize. The errors of your way!"
  226.
  227. The hissed, catching the mage off-guard as they did battle with the creature. Slipping their hands with anethereal grasp bypassing the natural mental blockages and gripping at their soul. Though, without the experience to damage it entirely. They did shake the shit out of it.
  228.
  229. Like striking a nerve, it was a curse left behind. That turned the favor of battle in the demons favor.
  230. (Irkalla)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [22:40] He felt like a true failure to the Joyau name he was completely destroyed, toyed with by her servants this made him feel less than what he truly is. Another cursed inflicted on his body? He should have gone mad by this point, but he was alive? left with this painful memory of defeat.
  234.
  235. Truly nothing good could could from this, painful experiences seemed to leave a lasting impression on Waylan. He couldn't think straight at the moment something was wrong.
  236.
  237. The connection to his star faded, he felt empty inside, he couldn't really move.
  238.
  239. Though he was left with another life lesson, demons or witches alike were a lot stronger than he believed. Could he truly help the people fight against them in this war? There are many questions and no answers or him.
  240.
  241. He passed out, his soul was tampered with and he couldn't think straight anymore. He assumed he'd be dragged away by Signe or not. He wasn't in control at the moment.
  242. (Waylan mer Joyau)
  243. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  244.
  245. [22:45] Signe growled as Waylan fell, blade pulled to the ready again, whirlwind whipping up. Something was different about this one. The Signe that had fought Eugo was controlled, disciplined. She fought aggressively but every movement spoke of someone who'd been training for years.
  246.
  247. The way her tail whipped, her green eyes narrowed to slits, the motes of stardust flaring around her? Her self given moniker took on a new meaning. The Dragon of the Stars was emulating that which she wanted to be. Leaning forward, sword out wide to one side, claw digging into the turf for leverage, furrows digging into the soil. Her tail whipped above her as it seeking to lash Irkalla from several feet away.
  248.
  249. If she could breathe fire, it wouldn't have been surprising to see it.
  250.
  251. Her connection with Phos burned, determination filling every last pore. She had no words to form in the magical fervor, merely a wordless roar as she charged into combat once more.
  252. (Signe Daman)
  253. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  254.
  255. [22:51] Standing beside their Nethradin, the ascended could only smile with one hand moving to run up & down the length of the creatures arm.
  256.
  257. Admiring the strength, the devotion.
  258.
  259. It was unlike promises or words. Of the truest expression in servitude. Undying in their loyalty for the one who'd seek to make them whole once more. "I hear that nights such as these? Humans drink... So why?" Waving a hand out towards its tome, the animus levitating beside them would come to open.
  260.
  261. Whispers erupting into the fields, cries, shouts. The Tormentor, would be such a befitting title. As they moved with elegance through each page. Smiling during the drakanites preparations.
  262.
  263. Admiring the intoxicating sight of humanity succumbing to their own emotions. With a hand dipped into the book itself. They pulled out a single bottle of blood wine.
  264.
  265. Held without a top overhead. "To the bloodshed!"
  266.
  267. Chanted through throughout the forest. As though a legion were hiding in wake of the call. Beckoned fourth was more than just the Nethradin now.
  268.
  269. But an array of shadowy figures, each armed stampeding forward in declaration to the woman's call.
  270. (Irkalla)
  271. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  272.
  273. [22:51] The battle against the other Cosmic magi was easily one, The Mistress toyed with him barely treating him like a warrior worthy of her time. Letting her Nethradin solider take care of it, Beating the mage at his own game by quickly out maneuvering him.
  274.
  275. The star light not fast enough to outspeed the power of superior shadows. and with a final strike? The mistress actively reached into his soul leaving a ravaging curse behind.
  276.
  277. Yet the battle had not ended there quickly after Waylan fell the Drakanite covered in star light came rushing towards Irkalla. Eugo moving to defend her however was quickly brought to his knees burning of the very same cosmic flames that put him down before.
  278.
  279. Utilizing his time and occultic magics he would continue to suppress the cosmic purity that continued to eat away at his scars. Although he knew already that Irkalla was more than capable of defending herself.
  280. (Eugo La Ravias)
  281. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  282.
  283. [22:51] Irkalla says, "kk"
  284. [22:57] The legions stampede left the forest to rustle, the earth to shake. There was no signal greater than the woman's voice, calling to the shadows without mercy. Cackling loudly as they noticed the downpour beginning in the initiation to surrounding the woman first.
  285.
  286. Treating them like an animal. The spread wielded would strike & lash out. Though, much like any single-hit army. The Nethradin empowered by Essence's was the only major threat.
  287.
  288. The woman themselves seemed to relax. Dodging away, only bothering to weave a few curses.
  289.
  290. Though the pain was showing in bare pale flesh. The lack of feeling pain was evident. It was clear, with the blood smeared across the lower half of their mouth. The woman reveled in pain, in torture such as this.
  291.
  292. Knowing humanity could do more than bark, but actually bite.
  293.
  294. But could they endure? The soldiers would not look to stop. Nor did the nethradin.
  295. (Irkalla)
  296. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  297.
  298. [22:59] A dragon she may be attempting to be, but that road was not yet finished, nor even close to it. An army? Still beyond her. Yet the fury that boiled, the pride within her would not give her even a moment to consider retreat. Her blade sang, whipping against the masses, winds carrying her through the fight as claw and mythril cleaved through those that stood between her and her foe. Those who would dare lay a hand on her beloved.
  299.
  300. But each strike wore at her, wearing through her armor, the curses of occult mounting. As strong as she was, this was yet another field beyond her.
  301.
  302. Yet as she kicked back, bleeding, scales torn, her eyes only seemed to harden. Before Phos she'd been stubborn. After bonding to it? Her will became unassailable, defeats barely phased her. They were merely more hills to climb.
  303.
  304. She sank deeper into her instincts, the glow of the stars being exhaled as she launched herself into the masses once more, forgoing her defense in favor of a more fearsome offense, cosmic energy veiling her claw.
  305. (Signe Daman)
  306. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  307.
  308. [23:08] Engaging with their army this time around, as the battle began reaching its climax. Drawing fourth from the shadows a condensed state of magic. Lashing out with powerful claws, for nails. Every swing of the hand looked to cripple at the woman.
  309.
  310. Pressing them back with the overwhelming stamina it was born with. Capable of enduring even the harshest of treatments. Alas, there were few that could break there.
  311.
  312. But it seemed this warrior wasn't yet at that level.
  313.
  314. Taken astray between the combination of shadowy forces and ascended might. Every collision looked to tear at the nearby area without mercy. "H-HeheHahaha! You feel it... Don't you. It's called, fear. Child... Fear! That shall consume you!"
  315.
  316. Its words spoken through telepathy. The animus had begun to illuminate, overshadowing any darkness in favor of briefly trapping the woman's mind within a dream-state.
  317.
  318. There, it might've felt likehours, but in reality? It was a second. The confrontation within that illusion would've been that of a horde of demons, endlessly caving in.
  319.
  320. Needless to say, that split second was all irkalla needed. Appearing before the swordsmen and striking forward with an ethereal grasp. Gripping at their soul an unusual authority. Crimson hues staring at the expression the warrior of light bore, relishing in the look they'd have when feeling their soul being shaken to such extremes. And once more?
  321.
  322. They too were left behind with a curse.
  323. (Irkalla)
  324. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  325.
  326. [23:14] Where the spirit was willing, the body failed. A dance of claw, steel, wind, and the stars, a dervish amongst the masses, eyes always seeming to stare towards Irkalla. Perhaps to her detriment, her already weakened defenses baring yet more hits with her ruthless determination.
  327.
  328. The dream was merely an extension of what she already saw. An endless horde meeting against a star that refused to be snuffed out. Pain, suffering, the threat of death. There was no fear in her heart for the self. Fear was a weakness she'd given up long ago. To the stars, or Vanaheim, she would create a path there beneath wings born of the cosmos.
  329.
  330. Yet, that remained merely a nightmare, flashing back to reality. The pain as something reached deeper into her, grasping...she didn't know what. She couldn't identify what hold the woman had on her. And as the doubt was enforced, the expression may have surprised Irkalla.
  331.
  332. Confusion? The woman had been so selfsure for so long, she didn't know quite what doubt was. Not in this context.
  333.
  334. Had Signe made a mistake? A question she'd never asked herself in combat.
  335.
  336. A kick was aimed at the woman to build distance, her body bloodied from the exchange, one last beam of cosmic energy launched out recklessly to shield her escape, picking up her beloved in her retreat.
  337. (Signe Daman)
  338. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  339.
  340. [23:16] Returning back to the youth, covered in the blood of her enemies. There remained, a calm expression. Only coming to smile from ear-to-ear once in-sight of the youth fully.
  341.
  342. "Till next time... Child of Barsburg. Yes?"
  343.
  344. Pulling a few fingers to their lips, looking as if they were trying to remove the blood. But as much as there was? It only smeared further.
  345. (Irkalla)
  346. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  347.
  348. [23:19] The Barsburg youth was sat down on a small rock, still cleaning his rifle and tending to what boar hides remained. They look up when they hear footsteps and their eyes slowly fall down Irkalla's form. Blood smeared all over. A calm expression.
  349.
  350. It was all so very eerie. Slowly does the grunt nod. "Next time." Though.. they were sceptical. To be coated in so many layers of blood. It turned out the woman didn't lose after all.
  351. (Cosmas)
