- Yo @firstkernow lets talk, I am routinely asked by the driver when traveling on the 18C, if I am to going to Goldsithney or Marazion. In case I need to spell it out, the intention is to skip these stops. As I understand it the 18C is a service bus not solely a college bus - its route is marked on the timetable as such. It isn't a single driver who asks this though there is a fairly regular driver who always sticks to the route. So it feels like this is an unofficial policy? A lot of students travelling to Penzance on the bus vocally complain about its route, they are just kids though! Is this peer pressure? On the first day of term when someone complained that only 1 person got off in Goldsithney, I told them the bus will come this way regardless, even if you are the only person on it. You can imagine I didn't expect to be proven wrong.. I really don't expect to have to keep tabs on which exit on a roundabout the bus has taken, this is not hypothetical I have literally forced a bus driver to take me to Marazion after he drove straight from Crowlas to Penzance. I work in Pool and live in Marazion the 18C has enabled me to sanely commute for 3+ years. There has been a massive decline in the amount of buses connecting smaller towns and villages to population centers. The 18C is a rare step in the right direction, don't ruin it so a driver / bus / student can get through the door 20 mins earlier. Don't hesitate to contact me I am happy to put time into discussing anything that might lead to a better service.
