- Fiction Fight Future
- Prologue:
- Some time around the year 2030, a new type of competition emerged. People everywhere are able to summon and control various fictional characters and pit them against each other in combat. These battles have become known as "Fiction Fights". The rules are simple: each combatant starts by conjuring one fictional character. When a fictional character is defeated, they are sent back to their world, which is referred to as the "Fictionverse" by those who partake in Fiction Fights. Once summoned, a fictional character is only able to be controlled by their summoner and their summoner can send them back to the Fictionverse at any time. The first one to defeat their opponent's fictional characters wins. Fictionfights are free-for-alls, meaning each combatant can summon as many fictional characters as they want. however, Fictionfights usually start out with one fictional character summoned by each combatant, as no one really wants to go all-out right from the start. It is unclear how or why Fiction Fights got started or how people gained the power to summon fictional characters in the first place. There are also those who summon fictional characters for evil purposes, usually engaging in Fiction Fights to cause chaos and wreck everything around them.
- Japan, 2035
- A racecar-like go-kart made of candy zooms through Tokyo, being pursued by an ice cream truck with a flaming clown head on top. the go-kart is driven by a dark-haired girl in a green hoodie and brown miniskirt. A second girl is riding in the backseat. This girl is taller than the one driving. She has brunette hair and is wearing a pink shirt and turquoise skirt. The driver of the ice cream is a tall, muscular man in a clown suit. A dark-haired teenage boy in a black shirt and black leather pants is riding in the back of the truck.
- "Give it up, Hikari. your little candy girl is no match for Sweet Tooth", the boy taunts.
- "We'll see about that Duncan", Hikari shouts back, "Vanellope, unleash the Sweet Seekers". The girl driving the go-kart presses a button and three candy missiles are fired from the side of her go-kart. They hit the side of the ice cream truck and send it spinning.
- "Sweet Tooth, unleash your special weapon", Duncan responds. Sweet Tooth manages to get the ice cream truck back under control and then presses a button. The flaming clown head launches off the truck's roof and flies towards Hikari and Vanellope. Vanellope swerves out of the way and the flaming head hits a nearby dumpster, resulting in a fiery explosion. A slot on the truck's roof opens up and another flaming clown head rises up to take the place of the one that Sweet Tooth fired.
- Nathan Manuel is standing on a rooftop when the explosion caused by Sweet Tooth's weapon occurs and rushes towards it. His red muscle shirt and blue jeans shake in the gust caused by the explosion, as does his blonde hair. He sees Vanellope's go-kart zooming away from where the explosion happened and recognizes his girlfriend Hikari riding with Vanellope. He also recognizes Hikari's ex-boyfriend Duncan, who is riding with Sweet Tooth. Nathan decides he needs to intervene before Duncan hurts Hikari.
- "Come forth, Yusei", Nathan declares. A man in a blue shirt and brown jeans materializes nearby, along with a fancy red motorcycle. Yusei climbs onto the motorcycle, and Nathan gets on behind him.
- "Follow that ice cream truck and candy go-kart", Nathan orders. Yusei revs the engine and rockets off of the rooftop, landing right behind the ice cream truck. Duncan is now caught between Hikari and Vanellope and Nathan and Yusei.
- "Leave Hikari alone", Nathan yells.
- "Stay out of this", Duncan retorts, "Sweet Tooth, aim your special weapon at Yusei". Sweet Tooth fires another flaming clown head, this time at Nathan and Yusei.
- "Counterattack with Stardust Dragon", Nathan orders. Yusei dodges the flaming clown head and then places a card that is brown on the back and white on the front on a device attached to his dashboard that is divided into five slots. The card glows and a big white and green dragon appears and fires a bright white energy blast at the ice cream truck. The truck spins out again and hurtles into the ocean. Sweet Tooth and his ice cream truck vanish, leaving Duncan to swim back to shore alone. Nathan and Hikari tell their respective fictional characters to stop their vehicles. They each give a thumbs-up sign and their fictional characters vanish along with their vehicles.
- "Thanks for the save, Nathan", Hikari remarks. The two of them walk away, holding hands. Unbeknownst to them, a dark-haired man in a white labcoat is watching them from a nearby rooftop.
- "The guy with the ice cream clown wasn't very impressive, but the girl and the other boy might be useful", the man mumbles to himself as he walks away.
- A short time later, the man in the white labcoat arrives at a laboratory at the base of Mt. Fuji. Upon entering the lab, he is confronted by a grey-haired man in a grey suit.
- "Dr. Morimoto, did you find any Fictionfighters worthy of helping us with our research?", the man in the grey suit asks him.
- "I observed a couple a Fictionfighters with considerable talent, but I wanna observe them a bit more before inviting them to join us. you got any problems with that, Mr. Serizoa?", Dr. Morimoro responds.
- "As you wish", Mr. Serizoa responds. He walks out the door, gets in his car (a stylish red convertible), and drives away. Dr. Morimoto enters a room within the laboratory that has a huge supercomputer taking up most of it. A blonde woman in a white dress is watching something on the computer's screen, which is divided into 9 different sections each showing the view from one of nine cameras. She turns around when she hears Dr. Morimoto enter the room.
- "Dr. Mezumi, anything interesting on the monitor?", Dr. Morimoto asks the woman.
- "Just the conversation I overheard between you and Mr. Serizoa. What are the names of these two Fictionfighters you observed?", Dr. Mezumi asks.
- "Hikari Yakumo and Nathan Manuel. I watched the two of them defeat Duncan Sandre in a Fictionfight. I don't see Duncan as being much help to us, but Hikari and Nathan could really help our research. I do intend to further observe their talents before inviting them here.
- "In that case, I'll look for Fictionfight talent from outside of Japan. After all, its a global phenomenon", Dr. Mezumi responds. She turns to face one of the 9 sections of the computer screen, which is focused on New York City.
- "I hear New York City is home to some of the best Fictionfighters in the USA", Brandon Yeltref remarks. He's wearing a baseball cap over his dark-colored hair and has on a blue shirt and purple pants. He and his girlfriend Katie, a red-head wearing a red shirt and blue miniskirt, have just gotten off a train at Grand Central Station. They have come to NYC to seek out some tough Fictionfighting opponents. The two of them pick out a sandwich restaurant for a lunch date and discuss where to look for Fictionfights in New York. They are overheard by a little brunette girl in a yellow dress.
- "If you are looking for a powerful Fictionfighter, you should challenge my big brother. He likes summoning fictional characters from sci-fi and monster movies, so he's quite the strong Fictionfighter", the little girl explains, "By the way, my name's Sandy. My brother's name is Lester".
- "Where can we find your brother?", Brandon asks Sandy.
- "He's hanging out in Central Park. I'll take you to him", Sandy offers. Brandon and Katie finish their meal and follow Sandy to Central Park. Sandy leads them to a brown-haired boy wearing a yellow sweatshirt and yellow sweatpants.
- "Did you find me some worthy opponents, Sandy?", the boy asks.
- "Two of them, big bro", Sandy responds.
- "I'm Brandon and this is my girlfriend Katie", Brandon explains, "Your sister told us you are really strong. care to face us in a Fictionfight?".
- "You two don't look all that impressive. i'll take you both on at once and finish you off that much faster", Lester remarks, "Come forth, Sharknado". A gigantic tornado forms behind Lester, with sharks visible inside it.
- "How are we gonna battle THAT?", Katie shouts.
- Back in Japan, Hikari returns home after saying good-bye to Nathan for the night. She heads straight to bed and, after only being asleep for 3-4 hours, is woken up by Her little sister Maimai, who is not only awake, but in a pink shirt and miniskirt instead of her pajamas and has her hair tied in pigtails, when normally she lets it down before going to bed.
- "What are you doing up this early?", Hikari asks Maimai.
- "My American friend Sandy contacted me. Her brother is involved in a Fictionfight against two opponents at once and he summoned a Sharknado right in the middle of Central Park. Sandy's is afraid her brother won't be able to control a fictional character that strong and wants us to get to New York ASAP and help her stop the Sharknado", Maimai explains.
- "Isn't her brother Lester Klive? he's one of the top-ranked Fictionfighters on the planet. I'm pretty sure he can handle a Sharknado", Hikari assures Maimai.
- "If you don't wanna go to New York, that's fine. I'm worried about Sandy, so i'm going whether you do or not", Maimai declares, "Come forth, Mothra". A gigantic fluffy-scaled moth materializes and Maimai hops up onto its back. Mothra flies away with Maimai on it's back, heading towards the ocean.
- "You get back here right now", Hikari demands. She takes off running in the direction that Mothra is flying.
- "Where are you off to in such a hurry", a male voice asks. A white-haired boy in a bright blue shirt and blues approaches her. He has a box of cereal tucked under his arm, and keeps reaching in and grabbing a handful, then shoving that handful into his mouth.
- "I know you. you're Maverick O'Brian aka "Cereal Killer", a Fictionfighter who has a vicious fighting style and specializes in summoning cereal mascots. What do you want?", Hikari asks.
- "I want a Fictionfight with you, Hikari Yakumo. I heard about how you defeated Duncan Sandre, with help from your boyfriend, and I want to take you on myself", Maverick explains.
- "I kinda need to chase after my little sister right now", Hikari insists.
- "Let that boyfriend of yours handle that. Besides, i'd rather he didn't come butting in our battle the way he butted into your battle with Duncan. I want to see how good you are on your own", Maverick responds. Seeing as Cereal Killer isn't giving her much choice, Hikari calls Nathan and explains what is going on. Nathan appears on the scene moments later, accompanied by a man in a red suit with lightning bolt patterns.
- "Thanks for the lift, Flash" Nathan remarks. He gives a thumbs-up sign and the man in the red suit vanishes.
