Platemons is an Other Meta where a Pokémon holds either a Plate or a Memory. Depending on the item the Pokémon would either get Multi-Attack or Judgment.

Depending on your Pokémon's needs item will either help or hurt them.

An example of time that this would help them is if they have no decent STAB attacks. Example Tapu Koko (Physical)

Tapu Koko's strongest Physical Attack is Wild Charge, which has recoil, but with Multi-Attack it does the same damage without recoil.

An example of when it won't help is anytime, (with a few exceptions) is anytime it doesn't benefit it's higher Attack Stat.

Tapu Koko can also benefit from a Special set. Example:
