  20.
  21. Depending on your Pokémon's needs item will either help or hurt them.
  22.
  23. An example of time that this would help them is if they have no decent STAB attacks. Example Tapu Koko (Physical)
  24. Tapu Koko (M) @ Electric Memory
  25. Ability: Electric Surge
  26. EVs: 252 Atk / 6 SpD / 252 Spe
  27. Jolly Nature
  28. - Multi-Attack
  29. - U-turn
  30. - Brave Bird
  31. - Roost
  32.
  33. Tapu Koko's strongest Physical Attack is Wild Charge, which has recoil, but with Multi-Attack it does the same damage without recoil.
  34.
  35. An example of when it won't help is anytime, (with a few exceptions) is anytime it doesn't benefit it's higher Attack Stat.
  36.
  37. Tapu Koko can also benefit from a Special set. Example:
  38.
  39. Tapu Koko @ Zap Plate
  40. Ability: Electric Surge
  41. EVs: 252 SpA / 6 SpD / 252 Spe
  42. Timid Nature
  43. IVs: 0 Atk
  44. - Judgment
  45. - Dazzling Gleam
  46. - Volt Switch
