  1. Hi,
  2.
  3. My account WilliamUsher was promptly banned on N4G but no on-site rules were broken. I received no notifications or messages as to why the ban occurred. I attempted to reach out via the N4G Twitter account but it has me blocked.
  4.
  5. Cheers,

  7. Hi OneAngryGamer.
  8.
  9. You were banned because you when you don't follow rules, instead of talking to us here, you create an article that slanders N4G, it's moderators, and does nothing but show a desire to not communicate with us directly on the issues you may have but instead to turn it into controversy while in turn encouraging hatred towards N4G and its moderators. All of that from not following rules that every other person here is beholden to, and some that are just obvious (really, you think we've been okay with posting spoilers in the title and descriptions?).
  10.
  11. Sadly, there is no specific rule on how to handle someone who continues to do what you do when you don't get your way. But, there is a rule in our Terms of Use that does say we can ban anyone for any reason without notice. And I'm utilizing that option here to handle a situation we really just didn't think we'd need, because who wouldn't, when having an issue, open a ticket and ask us about it rather than writing articles that slander our people and the site itself in one way or another?
  12.
  13. This ban will remain in place. You are unable to discuss things maturely with us, and instead run to the Internet to complain about issues and get people to prop up your issues without even trying to understand or respect the site, our rules, or the people here.
  14.
  15. Thank you,
  16. Christopher

  18. I did try talking to you. It's linked in the article.
  19.
  20. You said you had nothing to say to me, remember? What exactly did you expect me to do if you won't answer the questions? Edit

  26. From that exact same PM: “If you have an issue with a moderator, like any other issue on the site, submit a ticket from here: http://n4g.com/tickets/ I, or if appropriate for a moderator to handle, will review the ticket and handle it as necessary.”
  27.
  28. You did not do that. So, no, you didn't try talking to me at all.
  29.
  30. And, I never said that I had nothing to say to you. I said exactly that I won't answer the question you specifically asked me. I did not say "don't ever talk to me again" or "don't ever contact me". I even, as quoted above, informed you on how to contact us on issues with moderation.
  31.
  32. Thank you,
  33. Christopher

  35. My questions were about staff moderation. I had no reason to file a ticket. I tried asking you a question and you denied answering it.
  36.
  37. Multiple site owners have multiple issues with the way the site is run and were quoted in the article for getting the run around.
  38.
  39. Also, why exactly am I being banned for quoting other website owners and pointing out that one of YOUR administrators broke a rule that isn't even in the guidelines? Why do you setup rules that aren't in the guideline and how are submitters supposed to follow rules that aren't in the guideline?
  40.
  41. What exact rule in the guidelines did I break? Edit

  43. Also you claimed I slandered you. Please cite each instance in the article that was either untrue or unproven. Edit

  45. I don't intend to get into a debate here. Especially since you'll just use it to create another one of your articles. I've answered why you were banned. You're going to have to accept that.
  46.
  47. You have issues with N4G, that's fine. But you refuse to contact us when you have an issue with a submission or specific moderator and instead run to make a post on your site. Sure, you do some research, but a good amount of it is either wrong ( http://n4g.com/news/1377240... wasn't failed by a mod, but due to time) or just representative of your disagreeing with the rules (see anything #gamergate related that isn't aout a developer/publisher or YouTube streaming, which falls under our "not a professional source" guidelines and isn't, per our guidelines, considered video game news but streamer news).
  48.
  49. So, you are banned and your site is banned for being unable to communicate with us properly and promoting slander. Simple as that. I hope one day in the future you learn to actually communicate with people rather than rush to your site to make a new controversy post.
  50.
  51. You may contact the owner of the site if you wish. He has already been informed of my actions in regards to you and your site.
  52.
  53. Thank you,
  54. Christopher

  56. You misread the comments about the YouTube streaming... the article that was failed wasn't from YouTube. You either didn't read the article or rushed through it to make your decision.
  57.
  58. You're also misrepresenting the Delta Six article. It never mentions that a moderator failed it. Keep in mind that what you're doing is attempting to libel me, by making claims that are untrue.
  59.
  60. And yes, another article is going up shortly to discuss how website owners can get banned from N4G due to personal bias and not because of actually doing anything wrong.
  61.
  62. I've reached out to you many times but you seem to be exercising your authority because you can and not for the purpose of discussion.
  63.
  64. I've never once denounced you an opportunity to speak openly and freely.
  65.
  66. Additionally, I won't have to contact Hava Media because I don't want this to turn into a personal thing.
  67.
  68. Corruption is something I take seriously and will continue to pursue the matter with gaming websites and users dissatisfied with the way things are handled.
  69.
  70. I will continue to monitor activity on the site and do frequent articles of moderators stepping out of line.
  71.
  72. As per usual, I will attempt to contact those willing to offer quotes.
  73.
  74. Cheers, Edit
