  57. A group of college students travel to a mysterious island to attend a rave, which is soon taken over by bloodthirsty zombies.
  58. This film is a prequel to all of the The House of the Dead video games. Set on an island off the coast, a techno rave party attracts a diverse group of college coeds and a Coast Guard officer. Soon, they discover that their X-laced escapades are to be interrupted by zombies and monsters that attack them on the ground, from the air, and in the sea, ruled by an evil entity in the House of the Dead...
  59. When I went with a couple of my friends to watch a movie in the movie theaters, we wanted to watch the new and latest horror movie. So, we ended up watching "House of the Dead". In the beginning was okay but when it got to the middle part - uh-oh! I thought it was really stupid. First of all, they were scared and didn't want to discover the island - especially the girls. They would freak out every time something would happen. Then all of a sudden, when they have to fight the zombies, they get all those weapons out of no where and start shooting as if they had just become strong and overcame their fears. In one part, they copied a "Charlie's Angels" scene and other parts looks like they became the Power Rangers. Well, I just can't believe I spent my money on that stupid movie. If you all like it, then I'm not making any comments except that I just don't like that movie! That's it! Period!
  60. I went to see this film on halloween, Believing that it could be quite good. Alarm bells should have started ringing with the fact that i had never before seen it advertised. I came out of this film knowing that that was an hour and a half of my life I was never going to see again. This film could have had soo much promise, but obviously sega were only interested in making quick money. I am mad about horror films the tackier the better but this was abysmal.I feel sorry for the actors involved in it. The zombies themselves weren't actually that rubbish but, the filmmakers habits of using bullet time over and over again to try and pad out the film and use footage that they had already shown made the film unbearable. I have never walked out of a film before and i wanted to with this but thought that i'd already paid five pound fifty might as well wait see if anything good happens, it didn't. The filmmaker used the same techniques too many times that it was just irritating, they used bullet time for each of the characters in the space of about five minutes, yes thats a brilliant technique but not when it's used to that extent. This film was trying to be something it's not, GOOD! How many times do we need to see different people with no legs waggling about on the floor, this film was too repetitive. It is such a same as this could have been an excellent film but it just didn't seem to know what to do with itself, it was trying too hard to be the next resident evil or something it didn't work was it a comedy who knows who can tell all i can say don't waste your time and money seeing this film when you can watch paint dry. It really was the worst film i have ever seen and i have seen a lot of bad movies.
  61. Much poorly choreographed gunplay, many lovingly rendered head explosions, and some half-assed exposition about centuries-old, immortality-seeking pirates follow, with nothing to recommend House Of The Dead to anyone but the most undiscriminating zombie-movie fans.
  62. In 2003, House of the Dead, the first video game adaptation of Uwe Boll, who has gotten himself a certain reputation in this area, was released. The film is a mundane zombie flick with a shallow plot and a tendency to be trash. Five years later, Lions Gate has released a Director's Cut version of the film on DVD. The film was made into a comedy with new music, alternative scenes, outtakes and several overlay-commentaries - which is the reason for the subtitle "Funny Version" on the DVD's front cover. a5c7b9f00b
