  1. I remember those summer days
  2. Those summer days we’d hang out together
  3. Going everywhere and anywhere under the Sun
  4.
  5. I remember those summer days
  6. When the days were long
  7. The nights were short
  8. And we had time to kill
  9.
  10. I remember those summer days
  11. Where we’d spend hours at the beach
  12. Walking along the sand
  13. Building sandcastles as tall as we could make ‘em
  14. And surfing ‘til the waves took us down
  15. Only for us to try again
  16.
  17. I remember those summer days
  18. Where the whole gang and you and I would spend our time together
  19. Where nothing’d worry us at all
  20. And laughter bellowed from us all
  21.
  22. I remember those summer days
  23. Where we made out in the backseat of the car as a black and white horror film played
  24. Where we stared at the stars in the night sky
  25. And hugged each other tight
  26.
  27. I remember those summer days
  28. When my brothers and I would race each other in our cars
  29. We’d do all sorts of things and drive at insanely high speeds in the night
  30. Loud music blaring through our cars’ speakers
  31. As we drove with only winning in mind
  32. It’s a wonder we weren’t killed
  33. And yet
  34.
  35. I remember those summer days
  36. When I’d have to study
  37. Those were always the least fun to have
  38. I honestly kinda hated ‘em
  39. But I had to do ‘em
  40. Still, it sucked when I’d see my friends goofing off and having fun
  41. While I had to stay indoors and memorize a shit-ton of flash cards
  42.
  43. I remember those summer days
  44. When we’d wrestle amongst ourselves
  45. And act like we were on WWE even though we were a bunch of snot-nosed tenth graders
  46.
  47. I remember those summer days
  48. When we’d chill in my room and listen to some music
  49. Playing album after album as the time went by
  50. And the smell of bud filled the room
  51.
  52. I remember those summer days
  53. Where I’d just stay at home and sleep
  54. Watching the day go by me as I lazed in luxuriant carefreeness
  55.
  56. I remember those summer days
  57. Where we’d skate a while and do some tricks
  58. And look at the cute girls passing by
  59.
  60. I remember those summer days
  61. And I wish that they’d come back
  62. I wish that more than anything in the world
  63.
  64. I remember those summer days
  65. As I sit here in my office job
  66. Consulting and preparing all day long
  67. How I wish I could go back to those days where my boss was the waves
  68.
  69. I remember those summer days
  70. And I remember you
  71. You were my first love
  72. And I don’t regret the time I spent with you
  73.
  74. I remember those summer days when we were young
  75. But I’m married now and my life is different
  76. Part of me longs to see you again
  77. Hell, part of me would love nothing more than for those summer days to be my life again
  78.
  79. I remember those summer days still
  80. Because those summer days were days that we grew
  81. Because in those summer days, it felt like we would live forever
  82. Because those summer days were the lives many would wish to live instead
  83.
  84. I remember those summer days still
  85. But the thought of seeing you and everyone else again
  86. Is almost more than I could bear
  87. Things have changed so much in the years since those days passed us by
  88.
  89. I remember those summer days
  90. And I’m sure you do too
  91. And though we cannot date each other anymore
  92. My love for you remains
  93.
  94. I remember those summer days
  95. And though I at this point am growing older
  96. And though things aren’t as easy as they once were
  97. And though I’m starting to realize that I am older and life is shorter
  98. I look at my wife and my children and the life we’ve made and I’m content
  99.
  100. I remember those summer days
  101. And though I myself can’t go back to them anymore
  102. I see my son, who’s also around the same age I was then
  103. About to head out to surf with his friends
  104. For I know he loves the waves
  105. He’s loved ‘em since he was little
  106.
  107. I remember those summer days
  108. And though my time has passed
  109. I hope my son can have his own summer days to look back on
  110. For if he has those summer days to look back on
  111. I will be a very happy man
  112. Not only for my sake, but for his sake too
  113. For he will have those days’ memories to pass on to his kids
  114. And to make him a better man
  115.
  116. I remember those summer days
  117. My son’s friends’ and I have met
  118. And I am happy with him
  119. For they remind me of my friends at his age
  120. It feels as though my son will make his own memories
  121.
  122. I remember those summer days
  123. When new memories are made for my son to carry on
  124. I will feel that the best thing to do is to spread those memories as far as they can be carried
  125. For what are memories but the gatherings of a life lived?
  126.
  127. I remember those summer days
  128. And I remember you all
  129. And as my son carries on my love of surf
  130. I hope those summer days can keep on going
  131. I miss you all
  132. But the memories we made
  133. And those days we lived
  134. Will never die so long as we have life to live
