  6.
  7. Harry Potter, the Minister for Magic, has sent a message to the Headmaster of Hogwarts, informing him that the Ministry believes that a boy called Albus Dumbledore has been missing for over a month.
  8.
  9. The Ministry of Magic has been in contact with the Headmaster of Hogwarts since last night.
  10.
  11. "There has been much speculation about Albus Dumbledore's whereabouts during the past fortnight, and the Ministry does not want to give the impression that he is not taking the Headmaster's report seriously," said the Minister, "but we must also be extremely cautious. Dumbledore is under constant guard at Hogwarts, and the Ministry is still monitoring his every movement. If he is indeed at Hogwarts, he must have left the country."
  12.
  13. "Dumbledore has been at Hogwarts for over a month," continued the Minister, "and the Ministry is still monitoring his every movement. If he is indeed at Hogwarts, he must have left the country. The Ministry is also keeping a close watch on Hagrid," the Minister went on, referring to the Hogwarts gamekeeper. "Hagrid has been placed under excessive guard, and the Ministry has reason to believe that he may have broken the Law Against Magic. Dumbledore has also been in contact with the Minister for Magic, and the Ministry has expressed its willingness to assist the Ministry should it should there be evidence that Dumbledore is at Hogwarts."
  14.
  15. "The Ministry believes that Hagrid has been operating in the village of Hogsmeade for several years," said the Minister. "The Ministry was surprised to hear that he was planning to visit Hogsmeade this summer. The Ministry believes that he is attempting to slip out of Azkaban."
  16.
  17. The Minister went on to say that Albus Dumbledore believes that Hagrid to be "under the Imperius Curse." The Minister did not elaborate.
  18.
  19. "It is possible, of course, that Dumbledore himself has been employing the charm for a long time, but the Ministry is still keeping a close watch on Hagrid, and he is not going to be out of the Ministry overnight," the Minister went on. "Let us say, however, that the Ministry is confident that Hagrid has not been about to visit Hogsmeade this summer."
  20.
  21. It was worth noting that the Ministry has made no secret of the fact that it considers Hagrid a close friend.
  22.
  23. "You are probably aware that Dumbledore was the one who instigated the Azkaban breakout in the first place, and that he is one of the few who have not been taken in by the Ministry. It would therefore be prudent if the High Inquisitor made it her top priority to catch anyone who is sneaking out of Azkaban this summer,"
  24.
  25. the Minister went on. "We urge you, therefore, to act upon your arrested body's conviction. We know that it is highly unusual for a Headmaster of Hogwarts to leave the school, and we therefore urge you to act now, before your time is up."
  26.
  27. The Minister went on to say that he will be writing to Albus Dumbledore to inform him of the Ministry's decision.
  28.
  29. The Ministry of Magic has now decided to close its investigation into the Hogsmeade deaths.
  30.
  31. "The Minister has been very clear that the Ministry will not be changing the date of the second Task," said Dumbledore, "and it is important to us that we complete our work before he does. So that is why we have decided to postpone its start date."
  32.
  33. The second task will now take place at the end of this year, and will have as its primary purpose the apprehension of the Hogwarts champion, whoever it may be.
  34.
  35. "The end of the school year will be the most important date of the year for the Ministry of Magic," said Dumbledore. "It is imperative that we find the champion before the end of the holiday period."
  36.
  37. "The Ministry will make every effort to catch whatever champion it is, but the arrest and conviction of the Hogwarts champion will not be delayed,"
  38.
  39. continued Dumbledore. "I am confident that the champion will be apprehended within the year. I look forward to hearing his name from the Ministry at the very latest."
  40.
  41. The Ministry does not think that the capture of the Hogwarts champion will be a very difficult task, considering the large number of students who will no longer be at school. In addition, the Ministry is deeply interested in the behaviour of the Hogwarts champion this year. If he is indeed in Az
