- >Weekend comes and goes and I find it Monday morning once again.
- >Still uneasy over what happened with that doppleganger.
- >On her insistence Tsubaki has started walking with me on the way to work.
- >Talking her out of it didn't go well.
- >Don't really complain since I like spending time with her.
- >"Do you have to go into work today?"
- >It was through this typical response I learned she really wasn't a morning person.
- >Her grogginess while cute did slow me down.
- >"Hey stay in bed if you want, I need to get to work."
- >"No Anon I want to make sure you get there safely."
- >"Fine I'll go wait on the couch Tsu."
- >This morning exchange ended up becoming the norm.
- >Did manage to get Tsubaki to begrudgingly agree to let me walk home by myself after much debate.
- >With every passing day enjoy my walks to work with Tsubaki more and more.
- >Manage to keep feelings under control
- >June came around and with it Beach weather.
- >Thanks to Tsubaki's hard work was able to afford a nice air conditioner.
- >Even with it on off days we'd go to the beach.
- >It was also one of the few times I got to use my car.
- >Today was one such day.
- >Pack the car and head out.
- >Hit traffic about 20 or so minutes in.
- >Kinda just sitting there staring at the rows of cars in front.
- >It's a constant game of stop and go.
- >"Tsu if it's alright with you I'm gonna turn off the AC for a bit, don't feel like wasting gas."
- >"That's fine."
- >"If it gets too hot lemme know, alright?"
- >Tsubaki flashes me a nice reassuring smile.
- >"I'll be sure to let you know Anon."
- >"Alright."
- >Move onto another subject to kill time.
- >"So...uhh...any plans when we get to the beach?"
- >"I'll probably sunbathe a bit."
- >"Don't like to swim?"
- >"The salt water makes my tail feel gross."
- >"Alright, fair enough."
- >Traffic continued to crawl until we got through the bottleneck.
- >Getting to the beach was a non-issue.
- >Finding a parking space wasn't.
- >Luck out last second when a dude and his lamia girlfriend are leaving.
- >Luckier still is the fact it's not far from the beach itself.
- >Air outside is hot and dry.
- >"Hey Tsu can you unlock the trunk? I'll grab the cooler and the other stuff?"
- >"Ok, you need me to help with anything else Anon?"
- >"Nah, I got this."
- >Throw Tsubaki the keys while I dig out the cooler and the beach blanket.
- >By the time I get everything she's grabbed the bag with her bathing suit in it and my skimboard.
- >"You know I could teach you to skimboard Tsubaki, it's easy to do."
- >"That's kind of you Anon but I'd rather not get my tail wet."
- >"Fine, trade you the beach towels under my arm for the board though."
- >"You're already carrying so much and with the cooler it'd just be awkward for you."
- >Double check one last time that we have everything before locking the car and going to look for a spot.
- >Manage to find a spot after some searching and set up camp.
- >"Anon I'm gonna go get changed. I'll be back in a second."
- >With Tsubaki heading to the changing room I'm left to set up the rest of the stuff.
- >When she comes back she's got her tan shorts and blue tube top under her arm.
- >She's now in a two piece swim suit and I can't help but stare.
- >The tanlines she's got from previous beach trips isn't helping.
- >End up having to use the 'fishing for change' maneuver to hide my boner.
- >Tried to look busy as she came walking up.
- >"Anon could you put sunscreen on my back?"
- >"Ye-yeah sure.." I managed to get out between nervous laughs.
- >Even though it wasn't the first time she's asked me to do this I'm still nervous.
- >Applied the sunscreen for Tsubaki while she laid on one of the blankets.
- >As soon as my hands touched her bare back her tail twitched a bit, brushing me in the face.
- >"Right you're good to go."
- >Grab skim board and go to leave.
- >Stopped by Tsubaki before I can even take a step.
- >"Anon you need sunscreen too, remember last time you ended up really badly burned?"
- >"I'll just keep my shirt on." I said giving my shirt a brief tug.
- >"Anon that's not really going to help, come on take it off."
- >"eeeugh..."
- >Take my shirt and toss it next to the cooler.
- >"Turn around Anon."
- >Spin around only tensing up when I feel Tsubaki rubbing in the stuff.
- >Try to keep my mind off it by looking at a hellhound and her father building a sand castle.
- >"There, you can get your arms and front by yourself Anon."
- >"Alright toss me the bottle."
- >Tsubaki doesn't entertain my idea and just hands it to me.
- >"I'd rather you not drop it and get sand in it."
- >"Fair enough I guess."
- >Head down to the ocean one application of sunscreen and attempt to get Tsubaki in the water later.
- >Before even getting into the water I run into a few problems.
- >One of them being almost tripping over the sunbathing body of a Dullahan whose head was under an umbrella reading.
- >Finally get down to the water after a few more incidents.
- >Group of kids playing chicken with the waves at the water's edge.
- >Find a sandbar and get a few runs in.
- >Almost hit a lamia whose basking in the shallow warm water.
- >Spend what felt like an hour just gliding over the water.
- >Even tried to do some tricks and stance switches.
- >End up going back in when hunger kicks in.
- >Leave the sand bar with a sore ass and a bruise on my heel from when I failed to jump on the board.
- >Wade through the deeper water and back onto land.
- >Walking up towards my spot notice there's someone else there besides Tsubaki.
- >Figure it's a dude passing by at first, then realize he's standing there.
- >Start to hear what he's saying as I get closer.
- >"Wanna join me for a drink later or something else?"
- >Realize the dude is trying to hit on Tsubaki.
- >"No thanks."
- >"Oh come on, I'll take you somewhere nice..."
- >Guy stops as he sees Tsubaki isn't looking at him.
- >She's looking at me walking up behind.
- >"Uhh...Hey Tsuba, this guy a friend of yours?"
- >"Not really, he just came over and started trying to hit on me, I've been sorta just humoring him."
- >Guy turns around as he hears me.
- >Getting a good look at the guy he's probably seven feet or so judging by how he towers over me.
- >The dude's ripped, not AHNAHLD ripped but pretty damn fit.
- >Dude reeks of Chad Thundercock
- >He looks me over before jerking a thumb at me and turning back to Tsubaki.
- >"You know this loser babe?"
- >Look over at Tsubaki to see what she's going to say.
- >She's got this really mischievous grin on her face.
- >"Of course I know him, Anon is my boyfriend."
- >Felt my face flush red and eyes go wide as I heard this.
- >The guy is looking at her with some skepticism.
- >"This pale loser?"
- >Tsubaki just scowled at him and got up from her spot and stood next to me.
- >Not only that but she put an arm and her tail around me.
- >Felt really embarrassed but at the same time happy.
- >"Yes he is, and he's more of a man than you probably are."
- >Dude's full on pointing to me.
- >He still isn't buying her bluff.
- >"He paying you or something? Come on ditch him and let's go somewhere nice."
- >Pulled closer by Tsubaki, the tightness in my chest rising further.
- >"I said no, you reek of commitment dodging anyways. If there's a loser here it's you pal."
- >The guy looked like he was about to lose his temper.
- >All niceties seem to have left the building with him.
- >"The fuck did you say to me?"
- >Know I have to do something.
- >"You heard the lady, now get lost."
- >Manage to get that out without stuttering.
- >Also hoping no one saw me shaking.
- >The Chad's now shooting daggers at me.
- >I can't help but smile at the fact that he looks ready to throw a tantrum.
- >"Who the fuck asked you to talk faggot?"
- >"Did I stutter son? The lady said to get lost, now beat it."
- >Worrying less about myself by the second and more about Tsubaki.
- >Put an arm around her in kind for emphasis.
- >Dude looks like he's ready to take a swing at this point.
- >"Think you're tough faggot? come on fight me you pussy."
- >"Are you really that petty of a man you're willing to pick a fight because someone told you something you don't want to hear? My boyfriend told you to leave. now LEAVE, before I call the police and slap you with a sexual harassment suit so hard it'll make whatever shrunken manhood you have left shrivel up and fall off."
- >Watch as the guy's face turns stone cold.
- >I'm smiling like a jackass all the while.
- >Watch as he storms off bitching under his breath.
- >Even after the guy left Tsubaki still had her arm and tail around me.
- >"Uhh..Tsuba, you can let go now the guy's gone."
- >"OH! Sorry..."
- >Tsubaki quickly let go, her face becoming beet red.
- >Felt great being able to see another moment of Tsubaki being cute.
- >"H-hey Tsuba, you ok?"
- >"Y-Yeah..a little shaken though."
- >Tsubaki straightened up.
- >"You and me both Tsu, we really had one another back there."
- >"Thanks Anon."
- >"I should thank you too Tsu. You stopped that dude dead in his tracks with that last remark."
- >Tsubaki went red again at my compliment.
- >Felt myself smile on the inside.
- >"Hey Anon, we should head home, it's getting late."
- >"Ok sure, wanna stop somewhere to eat on the way home?"
- >"No, I'd rather just go home."
- >"Alrighty."
- >"Also...can you make that shrimp dish?"
- >"You really want Jambalaya?"
- >"If it's not a problem for you Anon."
- >Think about it for a second before shaking my head.
- >"It's not a problem Tsubaki...Come on let's pack up and get home."
- >Pack up and pick up everything.
- >On the way back realize I missed lunch.
- >In the end just gave myself a bigger helping at dinner.
