- Sometimes whenever I think about him or see him, my mind always dazes off to what I can only think is a memory or a dream that I don't remember.
- It's always the same, yet it starts in the beginning or the end of the memory but it always ends the same.
- The memory always consisted of
- yelling
- slamming
- rhythmic banging
- and sobs of regrets but then silence
- I don't know who the cries were from
- Myself? Or hi-
- I jumped when I had felt him touch my hand,
- Gasping for air like if I had been drowning in my own thoughts this whole time.
- "Hub?"
- "Hub, are you alright? You're..to what I can only think, sweating.." His concerned hand on mine had pulled me out my thoughts.
- "Huh? What? Oh! Sorry, I've must have gotten distracted again."
- "You've been doing that more than usual. Is something bothering you?"
- "No, no just..just thinking about if the kids are alright. That's all."
- "Mhm.. Listen Hub if something is ever bothering you just tell me, maybe I could help you. Remember this is a safe place, you're always safe here."
- Right. Safe.
- I had only smiled and nodded at his caring words.
- I know he would understand only because of his long lifespan means he's been through a lot. I'll be ready to tell him about the memories and what they mean once I gather all the parts of it. Till then I can only think about being safe.
