It was odd for Daius, since he hadn't really ever had to do something like this before-- Speak to someone about something, and moreso. That person have information which would not only help the soon-to-be-Titan to reach his goal.

[18:50] It seemed that Daius was going to have to demonstrate what he had been working on to Artaghh. Something which at first, he was a little unsure about, after all. He wasn't really at the level of the senior citizen at all. Especially when it came to that area, he still had a ways to go.

Not that this knocked him in the slightest. In fact, it encouraged him. He understood, that it wasn't going to be an easy road to achieve this technique. To be able to replicate what Artaghh had already managed to achieve, according to what he had been told.

So with this in mind, Daius began to focus somewhat. His ocean blue eyes peering through the visor of his helmet and falling upon the old-bulky Paladin.

The breathing of the Invidia became slowed; more controlled. Purposeful, even. His exhales were long and his inhales were sharp. Before long, he began to cast his mind back to his meditation sessions, more specifically the first one which he had partaken in.

The question, faintly bouncing around his mind; Are ya holdin' onto something you should let got?

It was this introspective question, which Daius already had the answer to; He needed to let go of his past failures. To Obsidia, to his Mother and Sister. These were only holding him back, limiting his progression forwards.

In this moment, a fraction of his mana seemed to flow out-- becoming far more dense than usual. Something which Artaghh would most certainly recognise. Although, it was clearly not complete. A fraction of what Artaghh was capable of, all the while the ocean blue eyes of Daius; seemed to glimmer with a teal blue. Almost looking like waves, traversing their iris.

"It's nothin' complete yet-- But, it's sommets. Any tips?" he'd question. In truth, Daius didn't know what to ask. He had never asked for help, in this manner before.

It was alien to him.

The mithril paladin could tell what the Invidia's efforts were almost instinctively as the familiar, ethereal effort of a mystic novice flowed through the unseen pathways of energy in the air. The old knight would flash a tired, missing toothed smile to the Invidia as the demonstration continued, ensuring to make notes on the form to comment upon as at last the display came to its conclusion.

"Ah, advanced energy manipulation, ye' are bringin' a tear'a nostalgia'ta ma eye boy. Been a long, long time since I started walkin' tha' path, an' ne'er once did I regret the sacrifices I needed'ta make to achieve its mastery. Attunin'ta the motes'a the spirit realm, the source'a energy, is oft as much a physical task'a meditation an' gatherin' mana as much as it is a mental one'a reinforcin' yer mind'ta accept the aspect'o the ethereal upon itself."

The old commander would extend his right burn scarred arm before the black plate of his cuirass with a nod to good Daius, drawing a single finger across the mass of muscle and scar tissue as it began to shimmer translucently, becoming see through and ghostlike in form. Dense, and yet mallable, much as the ectoplasm of the mightiest of ghosts.

"Introspection is key, maintain' a sharp understandin'a yerself an' yer growth as an individual. So too is loss, for such is the core drive of every spirit in some manner. Physically too, yer body mus' be strong enoug'ta contain the density'a spirit energy wit'ou tearin' itself apart. Daius stated, after all he was no energy magi. Not by a long shot, it was never something he had been interested in. At all. Listening to the words of Artaghh quite keenly. It was clear that the end goal was to attain what this man already had, or something similar to it. Which meant that the man with missing teeth, was probably one of the best people for Daius to speak to right now.

It seemed that Artaghh, was speaking very much about attaining this through Energy Magic, which Daius expected. Although he didn't stop the man. He imagined whatever he was being told, was transferrable at the very least.

Ocean blue eyes, watched on as the senior warrior slowly became somewhat translucent. His form, there yet-- Not quite there at all? It was as if he was... A Ghost?

Still, Daius focused on listening to his words. The words about introspection, about knowing and understanding ones self to aid your growth and ultimately, your ability to manipulate your mana to attain this feat.

The Invidia already knew, in fact-- It wasn't even a consideration that his body may not be able to contain the mana once it has hit a much more dense state. He was, after all. The most durable man on Agartha. Something which was only going to be reinforced further down the line.

Once he can demonstrate it to the world.

"I... I see... That's why I am gettin' these questions rite?" he'd pause for a moment before continuing.

"IT's tryna get me to master my thoughts-- My mind... Myself..?"

Releasing a wistful sigh of dread nostalgia, Artaghh would turn his one eye back towards Daius to hold luminously upon the Invidian titan, nodding firmly as he mulled over the question at hand. It was one he was familiar with.

"It is a similar struggle I've dealt wit' young Daius, one tha' plagues many a great men. Oft many consider the burdens upon themselves as shackles'ta be shattered, such tha'll make ye' free'a yer former commitments. Yet, it is oft these same binds an' ties tha' bring us sorrow, hold us back, tha' have granted us strength in the first place. I've kept my oath'ta Dawn, now Dusk, fer thirty seven long, long years, an' I've struggled wit' it many'a time. During this city's darkest hours, I'd oft been steps away from walkin' south an' ne'er lookin' back."

The old knight would grip his fist as it shimmered once more, a familiar fire of anger burning in his chest as each slight he'd borne for his home seemed to condense all at once, a righteous anger that, like bile, burned even to swallow back down. Yet, with a deep breath, Artaghh would cool, regaining his composure with a steady nod to Daius.

"Bu' maintainin' my dedication'ta ma home, ma people, even a' the threat'ta ma own life or health, even when it was easy'ta be free, tha' is wha' allowed me'ta achieve ma strength. The question ye' should ask is nae if ye' are bein' held back, bu' if tha' wha' does so can be a source of strength. If nae, then ye' have yer work cut ou' fer ye'."

[19:59] Once again, Daius continued to listen to the wise old man. His words were on occasion a little difficult to make out-- but he was essentially talking to a grandad. So it really did make sense that this was the case. Still, the Invidia made out what he could. Being respectful through all of it and takin the words on board. It was reassuring to know that many great men had also struggled on this. However, Daius didn't plan on being a 'great man' he planned on being a Titan. Beyond a man.

"That is good to hear, Artaghh. To know you struggled like that-- Felt like leavin' it all behind. It takes more than strength to stay here, to dedicate yourself to somethin'. That takes character, manliness... Virtus. That's all you can ask from anyone in my eyes." he'd affirm, giving his own opinion on things. He really did respect Artaghh an awful lot.

"...My question was; What matters most in life to ya. Although, I think after this... I know what matters the most now. I've always know." he'd confess.

Daius was of course, talking about his Virtus. His courage, standing, manliness and excellence.

To him, family meant very little. In fact, the only reason he felt guilty before about failing them... Was because he felt that this was a tarnishing of his Virtus. To not be able to protect what he belonged to.

Now, he knew. His virtus must be built once more. Untarnished and brought into the lime light. Everyone must know of Daius the Titan.

Although... He hadn't become one of those yet...

With this admission, Daius' eye began to glow a far more translucent teal. His mana spiking upwards more, to the peaks it had reached before; moments after fading away.

The old, bald swordsman had made many decisions over his life whose effects he'd often been plagued by, and yet the knight had never regretted the path he chose to walk for all the sorrows it offered.

Such was life, after all.

"Aye, s'pose I did answer tha' didn' I? Perhaps becomin' an old man has givin' me context I lacked in ma fiery youth, bu' then they wouldn' be lessons if I didn' have'ta learn'm a' some point. I've seen people come an' go here for decades, fresh life arrive an' be snuffed ou' by hatred. Once it was glory, or honor, or riches uncountable tha' motivated me on ma path. It was nice for him to get some recognition, something which Daius believed he would get once he started bringing back corpses from the battlefield. Daius was certain he'd bring back far more than anyone expected of him. It was weird, but unlike most-- Daius saw this conflict as a chance to finally un-tarnish and repair his Virtus.

Something which he wasn't going to be passing up any time soon. That much was for certain.

"Maybe-- Who knows. Thanks for helpin' me out Ser Artaghh. It has been nice not only learnin' about myself-- About you too. Ya impressive." he'd state, before heading on his way.
