  1. People saw the monster. Some depicted it as a humanoid-bug. The others saw it as squirming and weird-disposed flesh and bone. Still, the same detail in their accounts are countless eyes and weirdly shaped tentacles. Definitely not something crafted by the Love of God. I did not believe in them.
  2.
  3. ‘It’ is feeding the cats. Strangely, the cats are not intimidated.
  4.
  5. Our ‘eyes’ meet. Lifelessly, ‘it’ stares at me as if ‘it’ is expecting something.
  6.
  7. Alright. Alright. Let’s calm down. Inhale. Exhale. ‘hello’ gesture.
  8.
  9. ‘It’ looks at me with a perplexed expression. Hmmm. Did I do anything wrong? I think no, so I try waving my hand again.
  10.
  11. “Hello, you mean?” ‘it’ speaks. I can understand ‘it’. Maybe most people ran away before they can hear what it wants to say.
  12.
  13. “Why don’t you run away?” seems like ‘it’ is frowning. “Don’t you see how scary am I?”
  14.
  15. I do the ‘don’t understand’ gesture by shaking my head and shrugging. The tremendous amount of magic power that is radiating from ‘it’ impresses me, though.
  16.
  17. “You are the bravest one that I have seen and I appreciate that.” – ‘it’ smiles. “Most people would be too afraid to do anything else and then faint. Those who have more courage can only flee with the same terrified look on their face. Some tried fighting and they did not get a good result themselves. If you need to discuss something with me, please be patient and wait until I am done with the cats.”
  18.
  19. That’s fine. I am the worst at anything but doing nothing.
  20.
  21. After a while, I follow ‘it’ inside. A tunnel opens up. Wow. A first rate magician… I could not feel any magic power nor find the door at first, but it does exist here. A magician of this level, I have only met one: the venerable old man whose name is Merlin.
  22.
  23. Kind of strange. If ‘it’ can handle magic that well, magic power should not be released outside ‘its’ body at all. Carnivores would never warn their prey, would they?
  24.
  25. The underground room is large but seems comfortable and well-organized with a fully-occupied bookshelf, a magic experiment table with magic related things and finally, a clean bed with sheets and a pillow. Everything is just like a normal magician’s room.
  26.
  27. “You don’t mind sitting on the chair?”
  28.
  29. I shrug. Anywhere is fine for me and our conversation starts.
  30.
  31. “For some reason, you can not speak?” – ‘it’ curiously look at me. “I got it. But I guess you do know how to write, right? Also, shouldn't you take your helmet off? Unless the world has turned upside down since the separation between me and human society started and values are now inverted, I don’t see any reason why a gentleman wouldn't take off their helmet, especially when they are trying to communicate with something that is called ‘eldritch monster’. You should show your sincerity, shouldn’t you?”
  32.
  33. Hmmm. That’s a long sentence with packed with information for me. I can vaguely figure something out from them. Well. I do the ‘writing’ gesture and then ‘no’.
  34.
  35. “You mean… You don’t have a pen or paper with you? Alright.”
  36.
  37. After I hear a sound similar to finger snap, pen and paper appear from thin air. Not something unexpected from a first rate magician.
  38.
  39. “I really forgot to introduce myself. The name is Lauren. What about yours?”
  40.
  41.
  42. “‘Nameless’? Literally ‘Nameless’? Alright. I got it. What’s more…? You don’t want to be rude, but things happened and now you can’t take your helmet off? I’m intrigued. Can you continue?”
  43.
  44.
  45. “You say… No. Write, I mean. You got lost in the jungle and found a helmet with a description.” ‘It’ starts staring at my helmet. “Basically, the helmet has some kind of magic. It altered your body and you don’t need food or water to live; nor is excretion necessary. The only downside is you can neither take it off nor speak.”
  46.
  47. I nod. There is no point lying.
  48.
  49. “Alright. What an interesting story. I am satisfied. Now, get to the point. What is your purpose of coming here?”
  50.
  51. I take the contract out.
  52.
  53. “I got it. You know that the last ones who came here did not go back with their life or sanity intact and yet you're still pushing your luck here? As a reward for your bravery, I will let you leave here in one piece, but don’t ever bother me again.”
  54.
  55. Well… There should be another choice, right? I don’t need the ‘eldritch monster’ to be eradicated. It can move out or something… As long as it is not here, the money will be rewarded to me.
  56.
  57. “Quite in contrast to my appearance, I am not a bad creature. I don’t want to cause trouble to others. Maybe the helmet cut your fear off, but it is not the same for the others. No matter what I do, people will be terrified because of my presence, so… In short: no.”
  58.
  59.
  60. “Yeah. You do have a point. Everything sounds nice and convenient since you will take care of everything, but… How much money are you going to take for this ‘middle-man’ job anyway? Let me see… One thousand gold… Yeah. Seems fair. Wait… One thousand gold for me? No. Just no.”
  61.
  62. I immediately do the ‘calm down’ gesture since ‘it’ is clearly being irritated.
  63.
  64. “You are trying to negotiate with me? As I’ve said. One thousand gold for you. The rest for me. I think it is fair. Your work is nothing but talking and running around for a day or two. Plus, it is not mandatory for me to leave this place or have the gold. However, it is important for you. The bad thing is: it depends on me and my mood.”
  65.
  66. Oh. Come on. I only have to run around and talk, but you do nothing… In addition to that, without me, there is nobody…
  67.
  68. “Now you increased the pay to two thousand? Oh. How funny. I am loosing my patience. Doing this kind of work, you should know how to get the price right, shouldn’t you?”
  69.
  70. I do the ‘calm down’ gesture again. Well… It’s time to get to the main dish.
  71.
  72. “Thirty, seventy? No.”
  73.
  74.
  75.
  76. “Sixty forty. Sounds bad. But I can see that you did try. Alright. I can temporally accept it. With one more condition that you must fulfill.”
  77.
  78. Yeah… Let’s hear the condition first.
  79.
  80. “I need a man’s seed for a specific magic ritual and since you are the only one who is not fleeing, I really hope that you can help me with it.”
  81.
  82. Man’s seed. You don’t mean…
  83.
  84. “Yes. Basically it is. You don't need to do anything but lay on a bed and let me do the rest.”
  85.
  86. Ugghhh… ‘Woman gets raped by tentacle monster’ always sounds so good to me, but when the word ‘woman’ is replaced by ‘man’ and I am the ‘man’…
  87.
  88. “That’s a no?”
  89.
  90.
  91. “If you ask me about how I think about our deal again, I do believe that it is fair if you can do me that favour. I have no other choice but… Alright. Half of the money will be your. The ritual is crucially important to me.”
  92.
  93. Hmmm. Well. Everyone will sell their body, it’s just the price that matters.
  94.
  95. “Thirty, seventy? What a greedy man you are, but for two times…” ‘it’ sighs. “Alright. I did show you my weak point. A few thousand gold more or less is not a big deal for the sake of my ritual. Let’s do it.”
  96.
  97. And that was another time I made a wrong decision. They have a term for this… Hmmm. Yeah. I remember. Don’t stick your dick in crazy.
