When an L.A. drug kingpin's kitten unexpectedly enters the life of two cousins, they will have to go through gangs, hitmen and drug dealers who claim him in order to get him back.
Deeply hurt after getting dumped by his girlfriend, underachiever Rell feels rejected and alone, however, when an adorable, L.A. drug kingpin's fluffy, tiny little kitten ends up on his doorstep, he will miraculously recover from his break-up in the furry embrace of his new-found feline friend: Keanu. As Rell and his cousin Clarence bond with the kitten, they will inevitably become inseparable, however, when Keanu disappears, the two cousins will have no other choice but to comb the suburbs of Los Angeles, deep into the notorious 17th Street Blips gang territory who seem to have taken Keanu under their wing. In the end, is a new gangsta persona and a pair of badass nicknames enough to outsmart Cheddar, the gang's infamous leader, and his team of itchy-fingered gunslingers?
Personally, i like gangsta movies. I like the style,jokes are good to me, but this one particular movie suffers from being filled with too much dialogue, and so less action. Opening scene made very good, then you realize that music made for this movie is also being a parody to action movies in a good way. Everything is a parody in this movie. Some scenes remind me of a GTA video games. Story is OK, and the kitten is indeed very cute. I would recommend watching this. And at the same point i m not. I give this a 5/10 for very long and sometime pointless dialogues.
Key and Peele bring a certain type of comedy that is not for everyone. Similar to Will Ferrell movies, you just have to be in to that type of humor. For me, this movie did not disappoint. There were a few real laugh out loud moments, and a lot of chuckles. Overall, I was entertained, and can see the humor in the entire movie being about a tiny kitten. For me, Jordan (Peele) was the funniest in this movie. When he went in and out of the characters they were pretending to be around the "bad guys", it was believable and he played both characters really well. Key seemed to be a little too far out of his comfort zone. Overall, I would recommend going to watch this movie.
Keanu is raucous enough to satisfy the Hangover crowd, yet when compared to Key and Peele's trenchant tomfoolery on television, it needs focused anger, funnier tension. Or perhaps simply more kitty cat.
